• Axis2 custom handler to turn security off

  I have a WCF service endpoint exposed over wsHttp binding with zero security config. When i call the service from Java I get the following error: org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: Must Understand check failed for header http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing : Action at org.apache.axis2.engine.AxisEngine.checkMustUnderstand(AxisEngine.java:102) How do I set the mustunderstand header to false. I would prefer to do this in code than via configuration.

• Why isn't JML implemented as Annotations in Java?

  Contrary to Code Contracts in C#, in JML Code Contracts are just text that's used in the form of comments in the header of a method. Wouldn't it be better to have them exposed as Annotations, then? That way even when compiling the information would persist on the .class's metadata, contrary to comments, that get erased. Am I missing something? Thanks

The option is greyed out and when you edit the Reference.vb file manaully, when running, it complains about not being able to serialize because it is not public. • Accessing the buffered request body in HttpWebRequest?

  By default HttpWebRequest has AllowWriteStreamBuffering set to true, which means that all data written to the request stream is buffered inside the object. I'd like to access this buffer of data after it has been written, but can't seem to find any way to do so. I'm happy for it to fail if AllowWriteStreamBuffering is false. Is there any way to do this, or is it not exposed anywhere?

  I am painting a widget and I want to optimize the process. Basically i will be sliding the image in the x direction and I only want to fill the newly exposed area. Is there a way to translate the pixels of a widget without calling update or using paintevent? I know of pixmaps and such but I am wondering If I can for example draw a pixmap once and then translate what I have drawn without having to paint anything else or draw pixmaps anymore.

• How to shift pixels of a pixmap efficient in Qt4

  Hello, I have implemented a marquee text widget using Qt4. I painted the text content onto a pixmap first. And then paint a portion of this pixmap onto a paint device by calling painter.drawTiledPixmap(offsetX, offsetY, myPixmap) My Imagination is that, Qt will fill the whole marquee text rectangle with the content from myPixmap. Is there a ever faster way, to shift all existing content to left by 1px and than fill the newly exposed 1px wide and N-px high area with the content from myPixmap?

• What would you suggest as a high school first language?

  Edit by OA: After reading some answers I'll just update the question a little. At first I put it a little bluntly, but some of those gave me some good arguments which have to be taken into consideration while making a stand on this one. (these are mostly picked up from comments and answers below). A few things to take into account: to many pupils this is a first programming language - at this stage most of them have trouble grasping a difference between data types, variable passing, ... and whatnot, less alone pointers and similar 'low level stuff' :) they will all have to pass this to get into next grade (well, big majority of them anyway) not all of them have computers at home, not all of them are willing to learn this, less alone interested in - so the concepts have to be taught on a finite time scale in school hours (as well as practice on computers) free literature is a bonus - the teacher will make some scripts and handaways, but still ... I wouldn't like to bear the parents with the burden of buying expensive literature (also, english is not a native language here ... and although they are all learning it, their ability to read it fluently is somewhat questionable) somebody gave an argument - "a language which does not get in the way of ideas" - good one accessibility on different platforms in not expecially important at this point - although most of the suggested ones are available on win as well as linux - not many macs in this part of europe (their prices are sky high for anything but specialised usage) I will check what are the licencing issues on ms express editions about using it massively in high schools for purposes like this - if someone has any info about this, please, do not be shy with it :) A friend of mine, informatics teacher - in EU it comes as something as junior cs teacher, in a local high school asked me what I thought about what should be the first language pupils should be taught? It is a technical school (a little more oriented towards mathematics than the gymnasium, but not computer oriented totally). So I'm asking you - what do you think should be the first language pupils are exposed to in highschool? They have been teaching Pascal so far, but she's not sure that's a good course. She thought about switching to C (which I resented; considering not all pupils have interests in programming, to start with, and should be taught something higher level since they are just gripping the idea of a loop and such ... for a start), I suggested python or ruby (preferably py since it handles all paradigms). What is your opinion on this one? I looked, but didn't find a similar question on SO, so if there is one, please just point me towards it. • Using Action Filters for user login in Asp.NET MVC?

  I recently built a site using Asp.Net. The way I chose to implement user login is through a base 'UserAwareController' class, that all controllers extend. It contained a reference to the UserRepository, and exposed a protected GetCurrentUser() method that concrete controllers could query. The whole process felt a bit wishy-washy to me. Is Action Filters a good alternative? What are its benefits? Is there something else I might be missing?
