  • Cant Install TOR on Ubuntu Netbook 10.10 [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: How to install tor? I downloaded the tar.gz file from TORproject .org and unzipped it. I clicked everything inside the directories but nothing happened. I also tried to install the addon from here http://bit.ly/bSSNea . The addon is installed but I cant see the TOR button anywhere. I checked relevant the option in the preferences section of toolsaddons. How do I install it?     I'd like to build latest lirc package for 12.04 with two patches from http://bit.ly/17779VW to make USB Infrared toy v2 work: Running sudo apt-build source lirc gave me ? build ll total 960 drwxr-xr-x 10 root root 4096 Nov 5 07:07 lirc-0.9.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 113909 May 5 2011 lirc_0.9.0-0ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1553 May 5 2011 lirc_0.9.0-0ubuntu1.dsc -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 857286 May 5 2011 lirc_0.9.0.orig.tar.bz2 in /var/cache/apt-build/build. Running sudo apt-build build-source lirc then gave me Some error occured building package which is not really informative. I have successfully built patched lirc from source but now I would like to get a deb package. Where can I look for this 'some errors' in detail? Thank you, Alexei

  • Great User Group if based near Gloucester + Links from Entity Framework 4.0 session

    I had a really fun evening doing “my final” EF 4.0 session last night (26th May 2010) at GL.NET based out of Gloucester (although secretly I made it into a IronRuby and Windows Azure session). They are a great crowd and Jimmy makes for a fantastic host + it is a very nice venue (Symantec offices in Gloucester, lots of parking, good room etc) + free pizza + free SWAG + trip to pub afterwards (the topics were very varied!). What more could you ask for? The next session is June 16th and will be on multi-tenanted ASP.NET MVC and comes highly recommended.   • 81% of European Shoppers Willing to Pay More for Better Customer Experience

    Customer Experience provides strategic driver for business growth Research released today from Oracle has revealed that customer experience is now a key driver for revenue growth in Europe, and an effective channel for brand differentiation in a globalized economy where products and services are increasingly commoditized. The research report, “Why Customer Satisfaction is No Longer Good Enough,” reveals that 81% of consumers surveyed are willing to pay more for superior customer experience. With nearly half (44%) willing to pay a premium of more than 5%. Improvement of the overall customer experience (40%), providing quick access to information and making it easier for customers to ask questions (35%) were cited as key drivers for spending more with a brand. The pan-European research, carried out in June 2012 by independent research company Loudhouse, surveyed 1400 online shoppers (50% female, 50% male) who had made a complaint or enquiry to a customer service department in the last 12 months.   • Scale DIV with tiles

    I am trying to create a repeating background. I have a main DIV with a grid of small 16x16 DIVs. I am trying to scale the main DIV in CSS; when the small DIVs simply have a red background color everything works great, but when there is a background image in the small DIVs then borders become visible between the tiles.   • IE6 (yes, IE6) css spacing issue

  • How can I get a 302 redirection URL's Location header in PHP?

    I am trying to find a universal way to expand most if not all of the shortened URLs out there. I know short URLs such as bit.ly, TinyURL, goo.gl, etc use the 302 redirection method to redirect you to another site. How can I make a HEAD request to the shortened URL in php and get the "Location" part of the header? Please help me with this. Thanks

  • Force scope bar below UISearchBar

    I have a UISearchBar and UISearchDisplayController, everything works great but my scope selector displays beside the text field instead of below it. I know that this is the expected action when the device is in landscape, but since I have the UISearchBar in the master view of a UISplitViewController it ends up looking like this http://cl.ly/BN9 Is there any way to force the scope bar to display below the text field in all interface orientations (I know that this works nicely in Mail.app on the iPad, so its possibly, but who knows if Apple decided to hide the option to do so)
