• trouble with AD and profile import

  I am involuntary Admin for a MOSS 2007 site. We use profile import from AD, from two domains: Mycompany.com and AM.MyCompany.Com I was looking at the log for the PEOPLE_DL_IMPORT Content source and it has many entries like: spsimport://?$$dl$$/MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com/am.MyCompany.com It certainly doesn't look right. Is this normal? What can I do to remedy it ? Can I start over? There are users already in SP and some of them are in SP groups for permission purposes.

• BIND having trouble resolving service.graphicly.com

  Since about two weeks ago, we haven't been able to resolve service.graphicly.com: dig @192.168.0.12 service.graphicly.com ; <<>> DiG 9.3.4-P1 <<>> @192.168.0.12 service.graphicly.com ; (1 server found) ;; global options: printcmd ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached Digging on the name servers listed for graphicly.com shows that service.graphicly.com is a CNAME to takecomicsadmin.cloudapp.net. Digging on cloudapp.net's name servers seems to fail: dig @NS1.LIVEDNS.MSFT.NET takecomicsadmin.cloudapp.net ; <<>> DiG 9.3.4-P1 <<>> @NS1.LIVEDNS.MSFT.NET takecomicsadmin.cloudapp.net ; (1 server found) ;; global options: printcmd ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached Somehow, my home ISP's name servers can resolve service.graphicly.com without issue. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Does anyone know what the cause of this problem could be? Thanks!

• Badwidth-Hogging Linux Server Causing Trouble

  We have a Linux server (2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu) that's misbehaving on a client site, gobbling up an entirely unacceptable percentage of the client's bandwidth, and we're trying to figure out what the heck it's doing. And the guy who had the sysadmin skillset has yet to be replaced. We're at a loss for what could be causing all that network traffic, and need to figure it out SOON. What log files should I be looking at to find this information? What analysis tools would you recommend for this task? Please note that I'm not looking for a tool that will allow me to analyze FUTURE traffic. The client is on the verge of shutting the machine off entirely; I need to figure out what it's been doing with the data I already have, if that's at all possible. My thanks in advance for helping a development monkey play sysadmin.

• Trouble getting PHP, Apache, and Zend talking to eachother (localhost)

  Hi guys, I've searched through several other questions, but haven't found my solution. THe main reason is that I'm not even sure if I have all these things properly installed. I have a hosting account, and have always just deployed everything into the internets, but I'm finally trying to figure out how to get my desktop set up right for learning Zend Framework. I have Apache Server 2.2, PHP, And Zend Framework installed. I'm trying to do this tutorial: http://akrabat.com/wp-content/uploads/Getting-Started-with-Zend-Framework.pdf The problem is when I click on the link: http://localhost/zf-tutorial/public I get an Error 404. If I type in http://www.localhost I get "It Works!" in the browser. I'm thinking this means I have Apache installed correctly, but am not pointing correctly to the Zend tutorial? • Trouble setting up incoming VPN in Microsoft SBS 2008 through a Cisco ASA 5505 appliance

  I have replaced an aging firewall (custom setup using Linux) with a Cisco ASA 5505 appliance for our network. It's a very simple setup with around 10 workstations and a single Small Business Server 2008. Setting up incoming ports for SMTP, HTTPS, remote desktop etc. to the SBS went fine - they are working like they should. However, I have not succeeded in allowing incoming VPN connections. The clients trying to connect (running Windows 7) are stuck with the "Verifying username and password..." dialog before getting an error message 30 seconds later. We have a single external, static IP, so I cannot set up the VPN connection on another IP address. I have forwarded TCP port 1723 the same way as I did for SMTP and the others, by adding a static NAT route translating traffic from the SBS server on port 1723 to the outside interface. In addition, I set up an access rule allowing all GRE packets (src any, dst any). I have figured that I must somehow forward incoming GRE packets to the SBS server, but this is where I am stuck. I am using ADSM to configure the 5505 (not console). Any help is very much appreciated!

  Getting the following error when attempting to install: Error attempting to create the destination file: C:\Windows Embedded Data\Repositories\{25C88912-9870-4686-97CE-8244C A1B0DAB}.CAB. System error code: 5 Code 5 looks to be an "Access denied" issue. Not sure if this is a generic Windows error, or specific to this install. Any insight is appreciated! -Tim

  We have Squid running on a RHEL server. We want to block users from getting to Facebook, other than a couple specific sites, like our organization's page. Unfortunately, I can't get those specific pages unblocked without allowing ALL of Facebook through. [squid.conf] # Local users: acl local_c src 192.168.0.0/16 # HTTP & HTTPS: acl Safe_ports port 80 443 # File containing blocked sites, including Facebook: acl blocked dst_dom_regex "/etc/squid/blocked_content" # Whitelist: acl whitelist url_regex "/etc/squid/whitelist" # I do know that order matters: http_access allow local_c whitelist http_access allow local_c !blocked http_access deny all [blocked_content] .porn_site.com .porn_site_2.com [...] facebook.com [whitelist] facebook.com/pages/Our-Organization/2828242522 facebook.com/OurOrganization facebook.com/media/set/ facebook.com/photo.php www.facebook.com/OurOrganization My biggest weakness is regular expressions, so I'm not 100% sure about if this is all correct. If I remove the "!blocked" part of the http_access rule, all of Facebook works. If I remove "facebook.com" from the blocked_content file, all of Facebook works. Right now, visiting facebook.com/OurOrganization gives a "The website declined to show this webpage / HTTP 403" error in Internet Explorer, and "Error 111 (net::ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED): Unknown error" in Chrome. WhereGoes.com tells me the URL redirects for that URL goes like this: facebook.com/OurOrganization -- [301 Redirect] -- http://www.facebook.com/OurOrganization -- [302 Redirect] -- https://www.facebook.com/OurOrganization I tried turning up the debug traffic out of squid using "debug_options ALL,6" but I can't narrow anything down in /var/log/access.log and /var/log/cache.log. I know to issue "squid -k reconfigure" whenever I make changes to any files.

• Trouble with installing Ubuntu 14.04 alongside Windows 8.1

  I work with Windows 8.1 and today I installed Ubuntu 14.04 alongside it, but now I can't set the boot menu to display both OS. When I boot the system it normally loads Windows 8.1 without opening the boot menu. I created a boot USB with Yumi. When booting with Yumi and selecting "boot from hard disk", Ubuntu turned on. My drives: My laptop is a Fujitsu Lifebook AH532/G52 and the BIOS is a Phoenix v1.10

• Trouble running multiple Firefox versions on OS X Lion

  I am trying to use two versions of Firefox (11 and 13) on OS X Lion. I don't especially want to run two versions at the same time. I want to be able to run the version 11 when I choose the version 11 via the profile manager. The same for the version 13. Every time, I want to launch the version 11, the launcher launches the version 13... When I select the version 11 via the profile manager, Firefox 13 is launched. I created 2 automators apps (FF11.app and FF13.app) to launch Firefox : /Applications/Firefox11.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -no-remote -P FF11 & /dev/null & /Applications/Firefox13.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -no-remote -P FF13 & /dev/null & Any help would be greatly appreciated. Now as per my understanding of nginx config rules, when i am in my webroot(/) which is /var/www the value of $document_root becomes /var/www so when i request for localhost/hi.php the fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME becomes /var/www/hi.php and that is the actual path of the php script. Similarly when i request for localhost/folder1/hi.php the $document_root becomes /var/www/folder1 because this is specified as the root in folder1's location block so again the fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME becomes /var/www/folder1/hi.php. But because the above configuration does not work so there is something wrong with my understanding. Please help?

  I'm running Ubuntu on an Oracle VirtualBox virtual machine. I clicked the "install Ubuntu" button, and it took me through a wizard. I am currently on the following step: Unfortunately, the "forward" button is disabled. What's up with this? I tried entering different data for the form on this step, going back and redoing part of the wizard, and rebooting the machine. Nothing worked. My host OS is Windows 7.

• Trouble loading an ISO

  I've created a boot disk and ISO image with paragon. I boot up the Virtual pc with the disk in and I get to my recovery page. When I am supposed to select an ISO image? My Virtual PC doesn't acknowledge any of my physical hard drives on my host PC. I've also tried copy/paste the files into my datastore and they do not show up. I've tried the option during the set up to start with the ISO but again I am not able to browse to my external hard drive that I have stored the ISO on. VMWare will acknowledge it and say that it is connected but I can't browse to it. Am I doing something wrong? I created the back up disk and ISO image on the external with paragon.

  I'm looking for a set of simple rules and redirects for my site. I've tried so many combinations that I'm starting to get confused. I'm not sure how to set this up. Generally, without mod-rewrite, I would use relative paths to link to files: <a href="link.php">Link</a> if it's in the same directory. Now I'd like to use this: <a href="link">Link</a> And so if you go to this page: localhost/mysite/link it will take you to the correct place, which would be: localhost/mysite/link.php But also, many directory levels deep I would like it to work as well: localhost/mysite/group/link2 would go to: localhost/mysite/group/link2.php and: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3 would go to: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3.php But then in all these cases, if someone were to type in this: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3.php in the URL bar, it would show this: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3 Thanks

• trouble accessing mail server from outside domain

  Our organization just moved our Website/Domain to a hosted VPS. We elected, for the time being, to keep our email (Exchange) running at our office. On our new VPS, we simply add a DNS record to redirect our mail to our on-site exchange server. This worked out well, as mail is coming and going with no problems. Recently, we ran across an issue when setting up outlook from outside of our office (Not on same network as exchange server). When configuring mail server address, it keeps prompting for credentials. Anyone got any ideas on why this is happening? Is our VPS not allowing Outlook to find our exchange server? If so, how can we bypass it?

• Trouble getting OS fingerprinting to work in iptables

  Everyone, As I understand it, OSF has been merged with the Kernel since 2.6.before-my-kernel-version. Yet when I do something like this: iptables -I INPUT -j ACCEPT -p tcp -m osf --genre Linux --log 0 --ttl 2 and I get an error like: iptables: No chain/target/match by that name iptables -L Shows no rules because I did an iptables -F at one point. ALSO, the following command: cat /proc/net/ip_tables_matches Does not show "osf" on the list. A google doesn't seem to help. I've also installed iptables-devel in hopes I'd be able to load the osf module. Sadly I haven't been able to get that to work. Centos 6.4 minimal Any guidance?

• Trouble Starting MySL Community Server on Windows 7

  I have installed Netbeans 7 on my Windows 7. In addition, the MySQL Community Server 5.6.12 is installed with the MSI installer on thesame 7 PC. The MySQL server is integrated with the Netbeans IDE. However , it is not possible to start or stop the MySQL server from the command prompt or the Netbeans IDE. I am only able to start or stop the server from the Windows 7 services tool. Also , it is difficult running SQL queries from the Netbeans IDE even though it shows there is connection with the MySQL server. • Having trouble adding jquery to charisma

  I am trying to add some jquery to this Charisma admin panel and have been having nothing but trouble. I am trying to add it to the charisma.js file. My class and div tags are correct for the code, as I have checked them several times for misspellings. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Is there a better "check" all code I can use here, or am I just putting this all in the wrong place? UPDATE: I think the actual code may be working, I cannot tell, after I click the select all box it seems that I have to click the other boxes 3 times to get the check mark back into the box, so it seems like it is having trouble actually showing that the box is marked. This may be a problem with styling, but I don't know how to correct it.

  I'm having trouble saving data in this model relationship. My models are as follows: App.Flow = DS.Model.extend({ title: DS.attr('string'), content: DS.attr('string'), isCustom: DS.attr('boolean'), params: DS.hasMany('parameter', {async: true}) }); App.Parameter = DS.Model.extend({ flow: DS.belongsTo('flow'), param: DS.attr('string'), param_tooltip: DS.attr('string'), param_value: DS.attr('string') }); As you can see, I want Flows to have multiple Parameters. I have a rudimentary setup using Flow and Parameter fixtures, which behave as expected in the templates. However, when I try to create new ones in the controller, I have trouble setting the flow and parameter values correctly. var p = this.store.createRecord('parameter', { param: "foo", param_tooltip: "world", param_value: "hello" }); var f = this.store.createRecord('flow', { title: 'job', content: title, isCustom: true, params: [p] // doesn't seem to work }); f.set('params', [p]); // doesn't seem to work p.set('flow', f); // also doesn't seem to work // Save the new model p.save(); f.save(); I've tried a lot of solutions after staring at this and StackOverflow for a while (not just the ones listed). I'm not really sure what to try next. One thing that I noticed in the Ember inspector was that the ids of these created elements were not integers (they were something like the string 'fixture_0'), but I'm not really sure why that would be, whether its related, or how to fix it. Trouble: I currently have a class I'll call Bob its parent class is Cody, Cody has method call Foo(). I want Bob to have the Foo() method as well, except with a few extra lines of code. I've attempted to do Foo() : base(), however that doesn't seem to work like. Is there some simple solution to this?

  Hi, I have an ImageView in my layout xml file. I set the width to wrap_content and height to fill_parent. In hierarchy viewer, the width is 2 px and height is 120 px. But when i see it on device, my 9-patch image for the image view does not stretch to 120 px. Can you please tell me how can I trouble shoot this 9 patch image does not stretch error? Thank you.
