    Using C# WATIN, how do I get the value of the second occurence of a INPUT tag html element on a page? I've tried a whole bunch of things and haven't succeeded. The debugger isn't giving me any obvious way to get element[1] among the 4 that returned. Console.WriteLine(ie.Element(Find.ByClass("myclass")).GetAttributeValue("value") ) ; // works but prints the value of the 1st of 4 input elements on the page Console.WriteLine(ie.ElementsWithTag("input", "text").Length.ToString() ); // returns the number 4 Console.WriteLine( ie.Element(Find.ByName("login")).GetAttributeValue("value") ); // works but its not safe since its possible there might be two elements with the name login Basically, I want to be able to select the input element by its array index.

However upon reading the license page it has me in a bit of a confusion. DO I have to buy licences if I intend to use this in cms websites that I build myself and hand over to clients? If so then what are my alternate options which don't cost anything?

  • Java: ArrayList bottleneck

    Hello, while profiling a java application that calculates hierarchical clustering of thousands of elements I realized that ArrayList.get occupies like half of the CPU needed in the clusterization part of the execution. The algorithm searches the two more similar elements (so it is O(n*(n+1)/2) ), here's the pseudo code: int currentMax = 0.0f for (int i = 0 to n) for (int j = i to n) get content i-th and j-th if their similarity > currentMax update currentMax merge the two clusters So effectively there are a lot of ArrayList.get involved. Is there a faster way? I though that since ArrayList should be a linear array of references it should be the quickest way and maybe I can't do anything since there are simple too many gets.. but maybe I'm wrong. I don't think using a HashMap could work since I need to get them all on every iteration and map.values() should be backed by an ArrayList anyway.. Otherwise should I try other collection libraries that are more optimized? Like google's one, or apache one.. Thanks

  • Scipy interpolation on a numpy array

    I have a lookup table that is defined the following way: TR_ua1 = np.array([ [3.6, 6.5, 9.1, 11.5, 13.8], [3.9, 7.3, 10.0, 13.1, 15.9], [4.5, 9.2, 12.2, 14.8, 18.2] ]) The header row elements are (hh) <1,2,3,4,5+ The header column (inc) elements are <10000, 20000, 20001+ The user will input a value ex (1.3, 25,000) or (0.2, 50,000). Scipy.interpolate() should interpolate to determine the correct value. Currently, the only way i can do this is with a bunch of if/elifs as exemplified below.     I'm trying to write an auto-scaffolder for Index views. I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IQueryable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. The <td> elements are not working because the Html in <%= Html.Display(property.DisplayName) %> contains the model for the view, which is a collection of items, not the item itself. Somehow, I need to obtain an HtmlHelper object whose Model property is the current item, but I'm not sure how to do that. How do I solve these two problems?

  • List<T>.RemoveAll Doesn't Exist in Silverlight?

    I'm working on a Silverlight 2/3 application. I would like to use List.RemoveAll (or maybe it's IList.RemoveAll?) and specify a predicate so that I can remove a bunch of elements from a list in one sweep. It seems like this function doesn't exist in Silverlight, though. Am I missing something here? Is there an alternative approach that's equally easy? Right now, I'm manually iterating over my elements in a foreach and keeping a second list (because you can't delete while iterating), and it's quite ... cumbersome.

  • What jquery code or plugin would I use to update the position of an element?

    I am using a jquery plugin from [ FilamentGroup ] called DateRangePicker. I have a simple form with two text inputs for the start and end date that I bind the DateRangePicker to using this $('input.tbDate').daterangepicker({ dateFormat: 'mm/dd/yy', earliestDate: new Date(minDate), latestDate: new Date(maxDate), datepickerOptions: { changeMonth: true, changeYear: true, minDate: new Date(minDate), maxDate: new Date(maxDate) } }); I have a collapsible table above this form that when shown, moves the form and the elements that the daterangepicker plugin is bound to, down lower on the page, but the daterangepicker appears to keep the position from when it was actually created. What code could I put in the daterangepicker's onShow Callback to update its position to be next to the element is was initially bound to? Or is there some specific jquery method or plugin that I could chain to the daterangepicker plugin so that it will update its position correctly. This would come in handy for some other plugins that I use that don't seem to keep their position relative to other elements correctly either.

I've got this far my my queries: Dim goalieList = From d In player.Elements _ Where d.Value = "Goalies" _ Select From g In d.ElementsAfterSelf _ Take While (g.@class <> "role") _ Select New Players With {.Position = "Goalie", _ .Name = g.Value} Dim centersList = From d In player.Elements _ Where d.Value = "Centers" _ Select From g In d.ElementsAfterSelf _ Take While (g.@class <> "role") _ Select New Players With {.Position = "Centers", _ .Name = g.Value} Which gets me down to the the players by position, but then I can't do much with this afterwards the result type is System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable(Of System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable(Of Player)) What I want to do is add these two results to a new list, like: Dim playersList As List(Of Players) = Nothing playersList.AddRange(centersList) playersList.AddRange(goalieList) So that I can then query the list and use it. But it kicks the error: Unable to cast object of type 'WhereSelectEnumerableIterator2[System.Xml.Linq.XElement,System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable1[Players]]' to type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[Players]' As you can see, I may really have no idea how to work with all these objects/classes. Does anyone have any insight on what I may be doing wrong and how I can resolve it? RESOLVED: The Linq query needs to return a single iEnumerable, like this: Dim goalieList = From l In _ (From d In players.Elements _ Where d.Value = "Goalies" _ Select d.ElementsAfterSelf.TakeWhile(Function(f) f.@class <> "role")) _ Select New Players With {.Position = "Goalie", .Name = l.Value} and then use goalieList.ToList

The application is going to grow soon(TM), and I'll be facing the need to host those modules in separate GUI elements. What type of GUI elements would you recommend to host the modules? Is it possible to data-bind a module to some control like a tab-control? How is it done? Is there some kind of a dock manager (similiar to AvalonDock) for Silverlight?

    I want to get the union of 2 nested lists plus an index to the common values. I have two lists like A = [[1,2,3],[4,5,6],[7,8,9]] and B = [[1,2,3,4],[3,3,5,7]] but the length of each list is about 100 000. To A belongs an index vector with len(A): I = [2,3,4] What I want is to find all sublists in B where the first 3 elements are equal to a sublist in A. In this example I want to get B[0] returned ([1,2,3,4]) because its first three elements are equal to A[0]. In addition, I also want the index to A[0] in this example, that is I[0]. I tried different things, but nothing worked so far :( First I tried this: Common = [] for i in range(len(B)): if B[i][:3] in A: id = [I[x] for x,y in enumerate(A) if y == B[i][:3]][0] ctdCommon.append([int(id)] + B[i]) But that takes ages, or never finishes Then I transformed A and B into sets and took the union from both, which was very quick, but then I don't know how to get the corresponding indices Does anyone have an idea?

    I have avoided working with fetchxml as I have been unsure the best way to handle the result data after calling crmService.Fetch(fetchXml). Applications such as passing these records into an ASP.NET datagrid would be quite useful.

    I found this website that lets you insert and delete items from a B-tree and shows you visually what the B-tree looks like: java b-tree I'm looking for another website or program similar to this. This site does not allow you to specify a B-tree of order 4 (4 pointers and 3 elements), it only lets you specify B-trees with an even number of elements. Also, if possible, I'd like to be able to insert letters instead of numbers. I think I actually found a different site but that was a while ago and can't find it anymore.

  • OpenCV: How to copy CvSeq data into CvMat?

    I have a CvSeq structure at hand, which is the output of an available OpenCV function. This holds 128 bytes of data in each of the sequence elements. I want to copy each of these 128-byte elements into rows of a CvMat structure to form a N-by-128 of type CV_32FC1. What would be the most efficient way to do this? I thought of using memcpy but I couldn't come up with a working solution. For the details, I want to calculate the SURF features in an image by cvExtractSURF() function, and copy the SURF descriptors into a matrix for passing it to the cvKMeans2().

    I have a custom jQuery plugin which binds a change event to a form element, in this case some input elements. The change event is used to indicate to some other components that a change has taken place. This works as it should. However, I've come across the need to bind an additional change event to the same input elements -- so that additional components can act on the event. I don't wish to replace the plugin's change, simply run an additional function afterwards. Is there any way to bind multiple events in jQuery, or, what is the best method for accomplishing this?

The popup's contents are a web page defined by an HTML file (popup.html). The popup doesn't need to duplicate code that's in the background page (background.html) because the popup can invoke functions on the background page I've loaded and tested jQuery, and can access DOM elements in background.html with jQuery, but I cannot figure out how to get access to DOM elements in popup.html from background.html.

    Hey! I was building an AJAX listing of elements in my site, with the ability to delete them (also via AJAX). The problem is that, for elements that were not there when the page was loaded (i.e. that were added dynamically), the post callback does not get executed and it doesn't fade out after being deleted (the AJAX call is being made, it just doesn't execute the callback).     Suppose you're working on a project and the time/money budget does not allow 100% coverage of all code/paths. It then follows that some critical subset of your code needs to be tested. Clearly a 'gut-check' approach can be used to test the system, where intuition and manual analysis can produce some sort of test coverage that will be 'ok'. However, I'm presuming that there are best practices/approaches/processes that identify critical elements up to some threshold and let you focus your test elements on those blocks.
