• Load NSImage into QPixmap or QImage

  I have an NSImage pointer from a platform SDK, and I need to load it into Qt's QImage class. To make things easier, I can create a QImage from a CGImageRef by using QPixmap as an intermediate format, like this: CGImageRef myImage = // ... get a CGImageRef somehow. QImage img = QPixmap::fromMacCGImageRef(myImage).toImage(); However, I cannot find a way to convert from an NSImage to a CGImageRef. Several other people have had the same problem, but I have yet to find a solution. There is the CGImageForProposedRect method, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm currently trying this (img is my NSImage ptr): CGImageRef ir = [img CGImageFirProposedRect:0:0:0]; Any ideas?

• midl.exe cannot load mscorlib.tlb

  I'm trying to use midl to turn an idl file into a tlb. However, when I try I get this warning: warning MIDL2015: failed to load tlb in importlib : mscorlib.tlb and I then get a subsequent error: error MIDL2337 : unsatisfied forward declaration : _Object..... I'm certain that the error is due to the first warning. I've tried the same command on a different machine and it succeeds, so I know that the idl file is correct. I've tried uninstalling the .NET framework and reinstalling it in the hope that that would fix things, but it had no effect. So my question is, what do I need to fix on my machine to allow midl to locate mscorlib.tlb once more?

• ASP.NET Load unmanaged dll from bin folder

  Question: I use an embedded Firebird database in ASP.NET. Now, Firebird has a .NET wrapper around native dlls. The problem is, with the .NET compilation and execution process, the dlls get shadow copied to a temporary folder. Unfortunately, only the .NET dlls, and not the native dll. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms366723.aspx for details. Now, this makes it necessary to put the unmanaged dll somewhere into the system32 directory (or any other directory in the path environment variable). Now, I want to change the wrapper/native dll (opensource), so it loads the dll also if they are only in the bin folder. Now, my problem is, how can I, in .NET, load an unmanaged dll from an absolute path ? The absolute path is determined at runtime, not at compile-time...

• Dynamically load nib for iPhone/iPad within view controller

  Hello I have converted an iPhone application using the wizard like thing in XCode into a universal app. It builds fine but obviously looks a bit rubbish in some areas :) I need to load nibs according to which device is being used. I dont wish to create my view controllers using initWithNib as I already have code to create the controllers with some data (initWithMyLovelyData) which doesnt do anything to do with nib loading. I know to find out the device you use UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOT() so I tried overriding the initWithNibName within the actual view controllers themselves, assuming they get called internally somehow. But it's not working as I guess I am unsure of the syntax. I have tried if(ipad..) self = [super initWithNibName:@"MyIpadNib" bundle:nibBundleOrNil]; And that doesnt work :/ EDIT - I know I have massively edited this, made my question a bit more specific after doing some more research - apologies!

I have: an UIViewController A UIView B: I added subview which is a UIView to the UIViewController A an UIViewController C What I did is: in UIViewController A's viewDidLoad's method, I call this: UIView *subviewB = [[Subview alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768)]; [subviewB subviewBMethod]; // [self.view addSubview:rsubviewB]; SubviewBMethod code is to create an view, inside this view have a button. Once this button is clicked, it will change to UIViewController C. I tried this: [self presentModalViewController:self.UIViewControllerC animated:YES]; And I got this error message: warning: incompatible Objective-C types 'struct UIViewControllerC *', expected 'struct UIViewController *' when passing argument 1 of 'presentModalViewController:animated:' from distinct Objective-C type When I run the app, it terminates immediately when I click the button, I opened the console bug, there is no any error message. My method must be wrong, thus my question is: Issit possible to load a UIVIewcontroller from uiview of another UIViewController? If: Yes: How to do it? No: What should I do? THank you =)

• Custom Errors "Could no load type error"

  I am creating ASP.Net MVC application and want to handle errors globally. I have set web.config value as mode=On and defaulRedirect="Error.aspx". I have Error.aspx at two places. One at Views/Shared folder and one at project root folder level. But each time an unhandled error occurs, the error page at root level gets called. How can I make it redirect to the one at Shared folder level? I want to do this becasuse, currently I am getting error as "could not load type System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" when any error is occuring. • vb.net pdf reader load problem

  From the tools menu I have done right clickchoose itemCOM (tab) and ticked adobe pdf reader. From here I simply dragged the pdf tool onto my form. That's all I've done. Now on form load it throws a bug. "InvalidOperationException was unhandled" hovering over the message it says the following, An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)) Any ideas anyone? • Unable to load DLL 'foo.dll', but only when running through vhost

  This is a variation on the old System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'foo.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E). problem (where, of course, foo.dll is the name of an actual DLL). The strange part is that I only get this error when I "Run" in VS (2008 if that's relevant). That sits in the MyApp.vhost.exe processes. If I run the actual app in a command line (MyApp.exe) I encounter no errors. The problem extends to unit tests with MSTest. A check on the DLL with DependencyWalker on Foo.dll doesn't show any issues. Any ideas?

Can anybody direct me to proper tool or can tell me how to do it with jmeter?   Hi, I'm using a javascript back button link and forward button link to control the user's history inside a modal/lightbox window. The challenge I have is when the modal window is launched, and the "back" and "forward" buttons are present for the user to click, if the initial javascript back button is clicked when the window opens, it actually closes the modal window, because the javascript history is taking the user back to the page PRIOR to the opening of modal window. So, in essence, I'm trying to disable the "back" button from working on the initial load of the modal/light box. <a href="javascript:history.go(-1)">Back Button</a> <a href="javascript:history.go(1)">Foward Button</a> Is this possible?

  Now this may seem like a silly question, but I need to know how to remove a DOM element BEFORE it is displayed to the user. In short, I am using a div that has a background image alerting the user to enable javascript before proceeding. If the user has javascript enabled I am using jQuery to remove the DOM element, in this case $(".check-js") which is the div housing the image. Using the conventional methods to unload DOM objects as follows does not work because it waits for the page load to complete, then removes the element, causing the image to flicker on and off each time the page loads: $(function(){ $(".check-js").css( {display:"none"} ) }) I simply want to remove the div if the user has js enabled, and he must never see this div. Any suggestions and I will be grateful, thanks.

  I'm a bit of a n00b with jquery so this one is probably an RTFM question: I'm writing an application to create a somewhat complex record for my client. Building the record requires doing a couple of server side searches inside a dialog. Right now I have everything framed up in 1 file (asp.net) and it's ok. But I can see as I add the business logic and the communication with the server this is going to get really ugly. I'm alreay putting most of the javascript in external files, but I'd like to move the HTML for the dialogs out too. How do I get the jquery dialog method to load the dialog body from the html files? • HTML5 Cache manifest file itself is not cached, and called at each resource load

  We have a web app that runs on the iPhone.The manifest file is ok, and the resources(html, css, js) are cached correctly.The page sits in the home screen. The trouble is, when the page loads a resource from the cache, there is as well a GET call to the server to read the Cache Manifest file.The server is configured to send the correct header (max-age=31536000; public, etc...) and caches well all other files except the cache manifest itself. Is this a normal behavior? It looks there is a slight lag, because of that call, for each resource load.Any idea, if these multiple calls can get a status 304 or even better avoided?

• Dojo load time extremely slow on iis

  I am currently working on a project that is using Dojo as the js framework. Its a rather rich ui and as such is using (and thus loading) a lot of different .js files for the dojo plug-ins When run on an apache server running on a mac, the files (all around 1k) are served very quickly (1 or 2 ms) and the page loads pretty fast (<5 seconds) When run on IIS on Win 7, the files are served at an unbelievably slow rate (150ms - 1s), thus causing the page to take up to 3 minutes to load. I have searched the internet to try to find a solution and have come up empty. Anyone have any ideas?
