• Weird jquery behaviour

  I'm trying to achieve something really basic but jquery isn't doing what I expect! I have a div with an id of "stuff". In the css I set the display attribute to "none" with the aim of changing it with jquery. This way the div is hidden unless the user has js enabled. My jquery code is simply $("#stuff").show(); unfortunately this isn't working and the div remains hidden.

  Is there any way to disable keyboard tabStop for a ButtonColumn inside a dataGrid? I want the buttons there to be only enabled through mouse-clicks, because sometimes the grid can be large and I want that pressing "tabs" will skip the grid and move to the other controls on the page.

  I'm looking for a way to embed Flash into a XHTML Transitional page that does not rely on enabled JavaScript, which validates and that works across all major Browsers including IE6. So far I'm using this solution which seems to work just fine: http://latrine.dgx.cz/how-to-correctly-insert-a-flash-into-xhtml#toc-final-solution However, when this method is used in an RSS Feed it seems that Feedburner and Google Reader at least (maybe other feed readers, too) strip the whole object tags and only leave the alternative content.   I have a version of Vim compiled with python 2.6 support enabled (from here). however vim cannot find the python26.dll. :version confirms +python/dyn :version and gvim.exe confirms DYNAMIC_PYTHON_DLL="python26.dll" echo PATH confirms python26.dll is in the search path. (both c:\windows\system32, and C:\python26) What could I be missing? Did I skip something silly?

• Firebug's "net" tab is not showing anything?

  I usually run Fiddler for net traffic monitoring and now am using a Mac machine. I thought Firebug's net tab can show the traffic that is fetched through AJAX (the net tab is enabled). But if I try google.com, and type in something, its "google suggest" will show a bunch of suggestions, but the Firebug's "net" tab is not showing anything?

• Having issues with setting up Inbound Email in SP2010

  I am having issues with setting up the Inbound Email with SP 2010. I have enabled the settings in Central Admin for Inbound Email, set up an MX record, added the IP to my Exchange Server, then created a new doc-lib in SP and i am still not seeing the "Incoming e-mail settings" option under communications in the doc-lib setup screen. Can someone let me know what I may be doing wrong, or missing?

• IIS7 Itegrated Pipeline Mode: Context.User is intermittently null for Windows Auth

  Our code relies on checking the Context.User.Identity value in the Global.asax Application_AuthenticateRequest(...) method to retrieve some information about the logged in user. This works fine in classic mode but when I flip IIS to use the Integrated Pipeline "Context.User" comes back as null, but only intermittently. Any ideas why? I have < authentication mode="Windows" and only Windows Auth enabled in the Virtual Directory.

• Is it possible to generate a .h macros file from bjam?

  I need to dynamically generate some macros into a .h configuration file that C programs can include in order to check which options are enabled, in a fashion similar to what is possible with CMake's CONFIGURE_FILE macro. But after looking in the doc and the web, I could not find something useful. Is it possible to generate such a file from bjam and have the dependencies handled correctly? If so, how would you do it?

• Google search ajax api is to restrictive. Any alternatives?

  The google search ajax api is terrific, and the .net wrapper available on codeplex makes using it from a .net project very simple. However, the api itself is crippled so that it only returns 64 results per query. Not very useful for many applications. Ignoring the likely TOS problems, are there known .net libraries that can query the root google website and scrape the results into a resultset? I'm assuming this could result in much larger result counts than the ajax version enabled.

  Every time I create a shape using the shape tool, it places a vector mask on top of this. I don't know how I enabled this but it does not do it on my laptop version, only my desktop.
