  • Drag and Drop from another application with mouse button down does not fire event

    I am trying to drag and drop a file onto a control in my application. The problem is that when you hold the mouse button down (i.e. dragging from widows explorer), my app does not fire any of the form events. They all work fine if the mouse is not down. Is appears that I need to enable the 'AllowDrop' for the application (it is enabled on the form) What am I missing? I am developing in vb.net 2008 in windows 7 environment

    I am trying to get the number of delete statements issued during the session, so I enabled statistics generation and I got a reference to it through SessionFactory.Statistics. But I don't see a way to get the global number of deletes. I can get the statistics for the entity, but I have one many-to-many mapped relationship that does not materialize in an entity, everything is done through a table that is not mapped to an entity. Is there a way to get this number?

    I have an application that performs a little slow over the internet due to bandwidth reasons. I have enabled GZip which has improved download time by a significant amout, but I was also considering whether or not I could switch from XML to JSON in order to squeeze out that last bit of performance. Would using JSON make the message size significantly smaller, or just somewhat smaller? Let's say we're talking about 250kB of XML data (which compresses to 30kB).

When I type something in the textbox and click the button, the button runs the datasource.filterexpression and filters out the rows.     I have just moved my code over to a new server (running on Apache 2.2.3), and PHP's DOM functions are now returning "Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found". I did some research and it appears that the installation I am now on does not have PHP's DOM functions enabled. I need to enable these functions, so what is the quickest way to go about this? Is it doable from a configuration file or will it require installation of extensions? Thanks!

I need to make sure that the web part that I created is not displayed for people who don't have permissions for the site I'm getting the data from.
