  When a user clicks a link it uses jquery ajax to submit a form to go to paypal. Not working for some reason. Really appreciate any help... • jquery mouseover animation jumping

  Hi all, I have a table which is looped in <li>. On mouseover each row, there will be a border shown, and the row id="resFunc" will be displayed. However, in IE, the animation jumps up and down. Anyone has similar experience or solution to solve this? • File upload control - Select file is lossed when 2nd control is initiatied

  Our problem/question revolves around an upload control that loses the selected file (goes blank) when a postback control is used (in this case, the dropdown list posts). Any insight into what we are doing wrong or how we can fix this? Below is our code and a summary of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Every time that the user selects one category, the subcategories are loaded (AutoPostBack=”true”). The primary user flow works fine: User selects one category, subcategory and selects a file to be uploaded (submitted). HOWEVER, if the user selects a file first, and then selects a category, the screen will do a partial refresh and the selected file will disappear (field goes blank). As a result, the user needs to select the file again. This causes an issue because the fact that the file is no longer selected can easily be overlooked. Seems straighforward --- but causing us a lot of grief. Any experts out there that can help? BIG thanks!

• Can you call FB.login inside a callback from other FB methods (like FB.getLoginStatus) without triggering popup blockers?

  I'm trying to set up a pretty basic authentication logic flow with the FB JavaScript SDK to check a user's logged-in status and permissions before performing an action (and prompting the user to login with permissions if they are not)... User types a message into a textarea on my site to post to their Facebook feed and click's a 'post to facebook' button on my site. In response to the click, I check user's logged in status with FB.getLoginStatus In the callback to FB.getLoginStatus, if user is not logged in, prompt them to login (FB.login). In the callback to FB.login I then need to make sure they have the right permissions so I make a call to FB.api('/me/permissions') -- if they don't , I again prompt them to login (FB.login) The problem I'm running into is that anytime I try to call FB.login inside a callback to other FB methods, the browser seems to lose track of the origin of execution (the click) and thus will block the popup. I'm wondering if I'm missing some way to prompt the user to login after checking their status without the browser mistakenly thinking that it's not a user-initiated popup? I've currently fallen back to just calling FB.login() first regardless. The undesired side effect of this approach, however, is that if the user is already logged-in with permissions and I'm still calling FB.login, the auth popup will open and close immediately before continuing, which looks rather buggy despite being functional. It seems like checking a user's login status and permissions before doing something would be a common flow so I feel like I'm missing something. • How does Page.IsValid work?

  I have following code with a RequiredFieldValidator. The EnableClientScript property is set as "false" in the validation control. Also I have disabled script in browser. I am NOT using Page.IsValid in code behind. Still, when I submit without any value in textbox I will get error message. From comments of @Dai, I came to know that this can be an issue, if there is any code in Page_Load that is executed in a postback. There will be no validation errors thrown. • GWT: Reloading a single tab in a tab panel

  I have a GWT tab panel and would like to reload a single tab when a certain event (e.g. button click) happens in another tab. Is there a way to do that? Another possibility would be executing some code (e.g. adding a new element to a tab) when that tab is selected. Any help would be really appreciated, I am stuck with this for a while already. To make the question more specific I am providing some code below. I have my code organized in screens, there is a home screen that initiates the tab panel. And there are separate screens for initiation of each tab. In IE8 its false for some reason and therefore it does not put the OnChange javascript event on the input tag. Has anyone seen anything like this before? we are using Freemarker 2.3.9 Update, it kinda works if i turn compatibility mode on for IE8. but not exactly. when i do that, the onchange event doesn't fire until the check box loses focus. which is very different than everything else. Is there a quick way to fix this without too much trouble? i suppose i could put something in that says if ie8, insert onclick instead of onchange. that may work, but i would need an authorization from the client to fix it like that.

• Ajax page.replace_html problems with partials in Rails

  Hello, I am having a problem with a pretty simple AJAX call in rails. I have a blog-style application and each post has a "like" feature. I want to be able to increment the "like" on each post in the index using AJAX onclick. I got it to work; however, the DOM is a bit tricky here, because no matter what partial its looking at, it will only update the TOP partial. so if I click "like" on post #2, it will update and replace the "likes" on post #1 instead. But this is an index of posts, so if I wanted to updated the second "postcontent" div on the page, it will still replace the html of the first. • When i add a bitmap to an array list the last element is duplicated in previous indexes

  I'm trying to implement a personal way of undo/redo in a finger paint-like app. I have in synthesis three objects: the Main class (named ScorePadActivity), the relative Main Layout (with buttons, menus, etc, as well as a View object where I create my drawings), and a third object named ArrayList where i'm writing the undo/redo code. The problem is, when I press the undo button nothing happens, but if I draw anything again "one-time" and press undo, the screen is updated. If I draw many times, to see any changes happen on screen I have to press the undo button the same number of times I have drawn. Seems like (as in title) when I add a bitmap to the array list the last element is duplicated in previous indexes, and for some strange reason, everytime I press the Undo Button, the system is ok for one time, but starts to duplicate until the next undo. The index increase is verified with a series of System.out.println inserted in code.   I'm trying to create a link that will hide or show a part of my page. The link should be reusable and display one of two images, depending on state. Adding the two subcomponents on every page where I use the link is kind of clunky so I wanted to create a component that behaves like a link while automatically adding its content. But I'd really like to keep the link and not package it inside a Panel, as I would not be able to style the link in the markup. I'm also open to alternatives to encapsulate the link and its body.

• Pass PHP variables without being seen when working with a database generated list

  Looking for any help regarding the problem. Here's the deal: I have a database that has a teams table and it contains team_id. On one of my pages, I generate a list of links that contain the team_id of the creator in their get URL. I need the team_id on the next page but can't figure out how to pass it through any other way. Using a form and POST isn't an option because this method would only pass through the last links data on the list. Storing in a session isn't an option either because there is no way to discretely pass the the variables I need to a function to set the session variables. I have tried and it can pretty easily be viewed from viewing the source code. So here's some sample code to see exactly what I'm dealing with. <? if(mysql_num_rows($result2)>0){ ?> <a class="fltrt btn btn-danger btn-small" onclick="test()" href="acceptmatch-exec.php?match_id=<?php echo $match_id; ?>&team_id=<?php echo $team_id;?>&action=cancel">Cancel Match</a> <?}else{?> <a class="fltrt btn btn-success btn-small" href="acceptmatch-exec.php?match_id=<?php echo $match_id; ?>&team_id=<?php echo $team_id;?>&action=accept">Accept Match</a> <?} ?> The code above is generated multiple times on a page via a while loop that was excluded. I want to pass the match_id and team_id variables without being seen anywhere. If I made this a form, it wouldn't pass the correct variables unless there is only one result at the time (not likely). I'm sure there has to be an easy method that is eluding me, so please share thoughts on how to solve this. I feel as though I am not explaining it well enough, but it's not really easy to explain. I basically want something that works like GET but acts like POST and can be hidden from people viewing source code or link locations. Thanks

  Hello, i need some help with a menu. • How to make area outside of custom dialog view unclickable?

  I created a custom dialog (no, this is not dialog object) from an image and some other views. The conflict I am having with this custom dialog (again, this is a layout) is that the area around it closes the custom dialog. Is there a way I can make the outside area unclickable? I have tried wrapping the dialog view with a fullscreen frameLayout w/ transparent background, and then programmatically I set the frame attribute to setClickable(false). framelayout.setClickable(false); This does nothing. It still closes the dialog. Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance. • IIS 7.5 Manager crashes when adding a custom error page

  I'm running a local IIS 7.5 server in Win 7 Pro, and I'm trying to add a custom error page for 403 responses. When I click OK to add a custom error page for my site, IIS Manager just vanishes. The server is still running, and I can re-start IIS Manager, but the new page has not been saved. I've also tried adding it directly to web.config, but that just gives me The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Edit: The event log implies that an invalid character in the path caused the crash, but It occured even when I copied & pasted a path from a valid entry. Application error log: IISMANAGER_CRASH IIS Manager terminated unexpectedly.
