• How to throttle email server wide on a shared server?

  I have multiple programs that send email on a shared server with a relatively low email limit. These programs are completely separate and can each individually throttle mail but cannot do so in relation to the others. Currently, whenever the hourly limit is reached, our host just starts dropping the emails. They say they have no way to change this behavior and basically suggested that I ask around. Does anyone know of any programs that will throttle email server wide on a shared server?

  After upgrading a domain from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010, I cannot access the public folders from Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007. I can access the public folders from OWA. The error message in Outlook 2003 is: Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could not access the specified folder location. Could not open the item. Try again. So far, trying again has not helped. :-P According to the Outlook RPC diagnostic window, Outlook is connecting to the Exchange 2010 server when it tries to get the public folders.

  the following situations: i have two pc's. My work desktop with XP and logged on in domain mywork.com. This desktop also has two network card. one for logging on the mywork.com domain and using the intranet etc. this desktop also has a network card with access to a switch. the other pc is a windows 7 pc. with is logged in to workgroup domain and also access the switch. now i want to access a shared folder from XP with my 7. but this is not possible because XP is in a different domain. 7 is asked for a user and password but i can't fill in my "mywork.com" login. how can i solve this?

• sharepoint 2007 access denied when accessing user profiles via ssp

  Guys I have a really strange problem in regards to sharepoint mysites today I go into user profiles and properties in order to setup a property all of a sudden I get access denied. First off I know that I'm logged in with the correct account after the access denied I decided to click on personalization services and permissions I than get An unhandled exception occurred in the user interface.Exception Information: Cannot complete this action. I'm not seeing anything in the server application logs either. So have any of you guys seen this before is there some kind of way to grant a user account the manage profiles right permission using stsadm. BTW all other fucntions of the ssp are working fine so my question is if the user profiles and my sites of a ssp tanks how do you repair that portion of the ssp? BTW the user accounts that I'm using are site collection owners and also they have full control at the web application level. • Lost Internet access in Windows XP Mode virtual pc under Windows 7

  In my office, I created and configured a virtual pc in Windows XP Mode. Everything was working fine. Now I'm on the road, and my Internet access (in the host operation system) is either via a hotel wifi or through my Verizon air card. Either way, I've lost Internet access in the virtual pc. I went into the Virtual PC settings, and set the Networking value to Shared Networking (NAT). Actually, I've tried every combination I can find, but I can't get from the virtual pc to the web. I'm hoping to use the virtual box at a client site, so I really need that access. Is there anything I can do to get it back? Thanks for any help.

I am not able to take RDP session. Its giving error.. Local Security authority failed to connect... I see Event ID 56 ..Source Termdd When I given access to Windows 2003 it working fine.. • Managing access to multiple linux system

  A searched for answers but have found nothing on here... Long story short: a non-profit organization is in dire need of modernizing its infrastructure. First thing is to find an alternatives to managing user accounts on a number of Linux hosts. We have 12 servers (both physical and virtual) and about 50 workstations. We have 500 potential users for these systems. The individual who built and maintained the systems over the years has retired. He wrote his own scripts to manage it all. It still works. No complaints there. However, a lot of the stuff is very manual and error-prone. Code is messy and after updates often needs to be tweaked. Worst part is there is little to no docs written. There are just a few ReadMe's and random notes which may or may not be relevant anymore. So maintenance has become a difficult task. Currently accounts are managed via /etc/passwd on each system. Updates are distributed via cron scripts to correct systems as accounts are added on the "main" server. Some users have to have access to all systems (like a sysadmin account), others need access to shared servers, while others may need access to workstations or only a subset of those. Is there a tool that can help us manage accounts that meets the following requirements? Preferably open source (i.e. free as budget is VERY limited) mainstream (i.e. maintained) preferably has LDAP integration or could be made to interface with LDAP or AD service for user authentication (will be needed in the near future to integrate accounts with other offices) user management (adding, expiring, removing, lockout, etc) allows to manage what systems (or group of systems) each user has access to - not all users are allowed on all systems support for user accounts that could have different homedirs and mounts available depending on what system they are logged into. For example sysadmin logged into "main" server has main://home/sysadmin/ as homedir and has all shared mounts sysadmin logged into staff workstations would have nas://user/s/sysadmin as homedir(different from above) and potentially limited set of mounts, a logged in client would have his/her homedir at different location and no shared mounts. If there is an easy management interface that would be awesome. And if this tool is cross-platform (Linux / MacOS / *nix), that will be a miracle! I have searched the web and so have found nothing suitable. We are open to any suggestions. Thank you. EDIT: This question has been incorrectly marked as a duplicate. The linked to answer only talks about having same homedirs on all systems, whereas we need to have different homedirs based on what system user is currently logged into(MULTIPLE homedirs). • Restrict IPMI access on Dell BMC and iDRAC to an allowed IP range

  I'm trying to secure the iDRAC's and BMC's on some of my Dell servers (R210, R410, R510). I want to restrict access to IPMI commands to only a few IP addresses. I've successfully restricted access to the iDrac using the instructions from http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/smdrac3/idrac/idrac10mono/en/ug/html/racugc2d.htm#wp1181529 , but the IP restrictions do not affect IPMI. A separate management network is not practical at this time because of lack or ports and some Dell BMC's don't offer a separate port. I'm told by my networking group that our switches don't support trunking, so using the vlan tagging is not an option either. Is there a way restrict the IPMI access to a list of allowed addresses? FYI, for various reasons, I have a mix of Dell servers with BMC's, iDrac Express and iDrac enterprise management features.

  I successfully configured Mobile Access Server on Mac OS X Server 10.6, but now, how do I configure Macs, iPhones and iPads I'm in charge of ? How can these machines access all the services provided by the Mobile Access Server ? I can't find anything useful on the web concerning the client setup. Is there any '1-click configuration' that would setup iCal, Addresses and Mail at once on a machine like the MobileMe setup does ? Or do I have to manually configure each services on each machines ? I gave a look at the iPhone Configuration Utility but it cannot configure Macs, obviously.

  Is anyone aware of a way to access the data in zlib database files for Palm? The file extension is .pdb, but that extension covers a whole range of formats, so a generic 'pdb viewer' won't necessarily be able to handle this. I'd like to be able to open pdb zlib database files. I'd be grateful for any access method: an app for Windows or Debian, or a library for Python or PHP that makes it possible to access the data in these files. If no such tool exists, does anyone know how to use zlib to decompress the data from such a Palm pdb database?

• Access internal IP using public IP

  Hi, I have a DSL modem with a public IP address (201.206.x.x), and I have a web server in my internal network (192.168.0.50). I set up the modem to forward requests to port 80 to my web server, so, if I access 201.206.x.x from outside my network, it shows my web page, the same happens if I access 192.168.0.50 from a computer inside my network. Now, the problem is when I try to access 201.206.x.x from my internal network, the browser tries to connect to the DSL modem configuration, instead of redirecting my request to my Web server. Which settings do I have to change in the modem to set up this redirection? Thanks!

• Roundcube access from outside local network

  I have setup hmailserver on a windows xp pro computer and everything is working great when it comes to getting it to send and receive email. Now here is where my problem comes in... I have setup roundcube using uniserver and everything works great internally. Now, what I am trying to do is to be able to access roundcube from the internet outside of the local network. I have opened up ports 80, 443, and the mysql port yet I am still unable to access this from outside of the network. The error message that I am getting is as followed: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /webmail/ on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I believe something needs to be edited in the apache config file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping I dont need to run this on windows server but I'm kinda losing hope and thinking I will need to because I need IIS.

I am trying to allow anonymous access to the report builder folder so that my users do not have to select the remember password option when they login, if they are wanting to use the report builder. All I have found so far is that I should be able to do this with the IIS manager, but that only seems to work for reporting services 2005. Reporting services 2008 does not show up in the IIS manager, enabling anonymous access seems to be hidden somewhere else. How do I enable anonymous access to report builder in reporting services 2008?

  i've setup a SSL certificate to use in a website i'm working on. The problem is that when "Require SSL" is checked in iis, i get the following error while trying to access the site: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. If that checkbox is not checked, the site works fine (i'm not sure why, but i can even access it through SSL). Not sure if it makes any difference, but my company has an ISA server that we use as a proxy / firewall. Thanks, Gonzalo

• Windows 2008 R2 File Sharing - 'Access denied' if groups are specified in ACL

  I am trying to move our old Windows 2003 File Server to Windows 2008 R2. What I have noticed, however, is that the entries for groups in the ACL are being ignored. For example, a user is part of a group in active directory. If I create a folder and enable full access for this group, then share this folder (and define sharing permissions for this group), users in that group do not get access to that folder. If I make an entry in the ACL for the user itself, it works perfectly. These even applies to my domain administrator account - If I create a folder and give full control to the local administrators group / domain administrators group, and I physically log on to the server, I still do not get access - I need to explicitly define my name to proceed. I am not sure what the problem is, tried looking it up in Google to no avail Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

Now I am trying to access this site from another computer with following details inet addr : 10.14.42.7 Bcast : 10.14.42.255 Mask : 255.255.255.0 But it says 'access denied'. nmap 10.107.105.13 gives the following output.   I am trying to synchronize my music between my desktop (Ubuntu 9.10) and my laptop (VirtualBox: Windows 7 host & Ubuntu 9.10 guest) I use Unison to perform the actual sync, which itself is not the problem. I am ultimately trying to get my Windows 7 host to be able to access the music files so I can sync my iPod Touch. What I need to figure out is how I can that to work. I would prefer to actually perform the sync to my Ubuntu Guest, mostly because of the filename allowed character differences between Windows and Linux. Is there a way to access the files on my Linux Guest from the Windows Host? Can I mount the VDI in Windows when VirtualBox is off? Can I have Windows Host access the Linux Guest filesystem while VirtualBox is running?

Although i disabled the default (removed the symbolic link) from sites-enabled folder but still not solved it for me. any suggestions?

  When I try to fetch my site as a googlebot in webmaster tools it return Unreachable robots.txt, after investigate I understood google bot can see my server: tcpdump | grep google it return that google can access my server with IP 66.249.81.172 or 66.249.75.111. but there is not any think in access log or error log or other apache logs. cat access_log | grep google or cat error_log | grep 66.249.81.172 Other bot (bing,...) can access apache but google cant. there is not any problem in my robots.txt or its permissions because as you know robots.txt is not necessary so I delete it but again webmaster tools returned Unreachable robots.txt not 404 not found! information about server: Server OS : CentOS 6 Web Server : Apache 2.x Firewall : IPTables is stoped SELinux is Disabled There is not any think else for security on my server. how can I investigate the problem and is there any other command that can help me to find the problem.
