• Alternative to Outlook 2007 to sync with BlackBerry?

  Hello I installed Outlook (2007) since it's the most used PIM that can sync with a BlackBerry, but I find its UI ugly, and the different dialogs contain way too much items for my use. Does someone know of a good alternative? Ideally, it should be able to sync with BlackBerry directly, but I can live with one that goes through Outlook for synchronization. FWIW, I prefer desktop applications to eg. Google apps. Thank you.

  I had removed the Libraries from my Windows 7 with this registry tweaks, but since the update to Windows 8 the Liebraries are back in my Windows Explorer. • Directory backed up with rsync is much bigger than source

  We backup a set of virtual machines to an external USB drive using rsync -a. The source directory is 145G as reported by du -sh, but the target is reporting 181G. The two file systems are ext3 and the block size is the same, so can someone explain what the discrepancy is?

  Did someone achieve to do negative regexp (or part of) with Squirm ? I tried negative lookahead things and ifthenelse regexps, but Squirm 1.26 fails to understand them. What i want to do is simply: * If the url begins by 'http://' and contains 'account', then rewrite/redirect to 301:https:// * It the url begins by 'https://' and does NOT contains 'account, then rewrite/redirect to 301:http:// So far, i do that using 2 lines of perl, but squirm redirectors would take less memory

  If someone knows a software with these features: Works from the tray area Very lightweight Works also in Windows XP (preferably workstation, nothing serverish required) Can show a bandwidth usage graph, where I can easily see each PC's usage I can inspect a computer's connections, find out the ports and applications that are using them (eg, all bandwidth is consumed by PC #3, that's running uTorrent.exe from port 33003) ...I'd happily check it out. • what's the PC version of "wget -r" to get files off an ftp site in the command line?

  someone showed me a really quick way to get folders off an ftp site via the shell on a Mac using the command "wget -r ftp://" (then the address of the ftp site folder location) and it would download to whatever folder i was in, keeping all the sub directories the same as the ftp site seemed really quick and easy, but how do i do a similar thing on a PC?

• Skype 5.3 Win7x64: Crashing immediately on startup, tried "everything"

  Per the title, Skype won't open, throws an APPCRASH error code #C0000005. I have already tried: Checking the "compatibility" setting Removing the appdata/roaming/skype folder (it doesn't exist anyway) Installing versions 5.3.113, 5.3.116, 5.3.120 Checking audio and video drivers for most recent updates Uninstalling with "advanced" registry checking using Revo Uninstaller Anyone got some gems of experience to throw my way? (Unfortunately, it's someone else's computer, and they don't know the last thing they did before it stopped working...)
