• .NET Setup Package Installer

  Hi, I have a .NET 3.5 Setup Package Project which installs my application successfully. The setup package deploys a number (around 70) custom files for use from within the application. From time to time I have the requirement of deleting some of these files, however upon restarting the executable, it automatically runs a portion of the Setup MSI again, and re-installs these files. The only way I can achieve my desired result at the moment is to delete the files after starting the executable. I have looked through the attributes on the files in the setup package such as Vital and PackageAs, however cannot seem to identify the required setting to achieve this. Does anybody have any idea what is needed to acheive this ? Much thanks

  In my code I have the following statement import com.apple.dnssd.*; and compiler (javac) complains about this line. It writes that the package does not exist. But I think that it could be that "javac" search the package in a wrong place (directory). In this respect I have two questions: How can I know where javac search for the packages? I think that it is very likely that I have the above mentioned package but I do not know where it is located. What are the typical place to look for the packages?

  Hi, I had all my servlets and classes in the default package. I have created these and JSP's and its all working fine. However i want to import some of the classes into the JSP's so i moved all the classes and servelts into a new package called Driver. I did not change any code anywhere, just moved it into a new package. The application compiles just fine.   I'm trying to learn to use glassfish for the first time. My IDE is netbeans and I've installed the glassfish plugin for netbeans. I opened up synaptics package manager and typed in glassfish. My choices were imqv2 glassfish-activaton glassfish-mail glassfish-appserv glassfish-toplink-essentials glassfish-jmac-api glassfish-javaee I'm not sure what is in each package, or which package are needed. I can't seem to find anything that tells me anything descriptive about these packages. I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to install glassfish, but I'd prefer to use apt-get / synaptics to install glassfish so that syntactics can take care of updating.

I use UNC path in package. package is scheduled using sql agent job.   Hi, I'm looking for a way to automatically start the android Package Installer , after the browser finishes downloading an apk file . Any ideas on this ? Currently after the download is over the list of downloaded files is displayed and clicking on the downloaded apk launches the Package installer . (step which I'd like to automatize) I've thought on launching the instalation manually with code like this : intent.setAction(android.content.Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setDataAndType(Uri.parse("file:///sdcard/downloadedApk"), "application/vnd.android.package-archive"); startActivity(intent); ,but I'm unable to find when the download completes to execute the snipet above.

• adding org.springframework.test package to spring-2.5.6-SEC01.jar in netbeans

  This is probably very simple, however I can't get this to work. I want to use AbstractDependencyInjectionSpringContextTest class which is in org.springframework.test package. This package is not included in Netbeans' spring library, so I want to add it. So what I have tried so far is: copy and paste "test" directory (downloaded from spring) into the Netbeans' spring-2.5.6-SEC01.jar file (copy it to org.springframework directory in that jar so I can use org.springframework.test to import it). If I go to project/libraries in Netbeans it is there, but when I try to import org.springframework.test.*; the autocomplition doesn't give me the option to choose test directory from org.soringframework package. create a new library which points to "test" directory and add it to the project- as there is no any jar file in "test" I'm not sure what path should I use to import it. I'm pretty sure this is something very simple but I'm still a novice and can't figure this out.

So you can insert a sub-level such as , continue to build the request, and remember to insert a closing tag". I'm interrested for this application. Do you know if this package exists ?   i'm having a problem loading an image from a package i created in the project that was set to contain images, i have to write the whole picture location in the computer instead of just the package that contains it. i've tried several things but nothing seams to work... where is the command i use to load the image : searchBar = ImageIO.read(new File("C:\\Users\\ASUS\\Documents\\NetBeansProjects\\Project\\src\\Images\\search.jpg")); "Images" is a package in my project , this works, but when i try loading the image without the "C:\..." only with the "\Images..." it doesn't , so i have to change it every time i open this project in another computer. hopefully one of u has the answer for me , thanks in advance for any answer :)

I am very pleased with the Firefox packaged provided by FrontMotion but unfortunately they do not have packages for Thunderbird. sob sob I guess, I could try to do the packaging myself, or do all of the installations by hand :( I did some searches and found very outdated packages by ZettaServe, but no current releases, yet.. • Choice of operating systems for a Rackspace cloud installation

  I am planning to use Rackspace cloud services to host a java web application and also run apace for wordpress and trac. What would be a stable operating system to host such an application. My requirements are that the core OS bundle should be minimalistic (so I can install only what I want), consume very little memory and be performant. I would also need it to contain softwares for the common lamp stack, J2EE stack etc. A supported package manager would be lovely. My choices are listed below. RHEL 5.3 or 5.4 Debian Lenny Ubuntu 8.04 onwards Centos 5.3 or 5.4 Arch 2009.02 Gentoo 2008.0 or 10.1 Fedora 11 or 12 PS: can somebody add the rackspace tag to this? Edit to remove this line as well.   I've been using corel draw x3 and windows 7 for more than a month. I cannot remember when I last used corel draw x3. Today I've found something unusual. My PC has two account: one with admin rights and another is standard account. Corel Draw X3 runs fine on admin account, but when it is started from standard account (without admin right), it shows the following error: Product installation unsuccessful, please reinstall I could run this product definitely on standard user account last month. But it is not running now. I tried to run it with all compatibility mode: from windows 95 to vista service pack 2. For some mode, it opens and closes immediately after showing the splash screen, and for other mode it shows the above error. How to fix this problem?

• Windows XP SP3 - Library not registered error... IE8 not installing.

  Specs to put things in context: AMD Athlon XP 2400+ @ 1987 MHz / 2 x 512MB PC3200 DDR RAM / WD 160GB IDE HDD / 3DFuzion 128MB GeForce 6200 AGP 4x / FIC AM37 / Windows XP SP3 Just recently, I was unable to start Windows Media Player. I clicked it and the busy cursor came up, but then nothing happened. Also, I tried doing a search for a file, and same thing. It would show busy cursor then suddenly stop doing anything. I couldn't find it in the Processes of the Task Manager. (Perhaps I don't know what I'm looking for?) Also, I was trying to update my DirectX, which has been running something older than DX9 9.0c for a while now, except the installation fails due to "internal error". I think the failed DirectX installation has been like that for a while... (I remember trying to install DX9 9.0c a while back, but still failed.) The Windows programs not starting, I don't think I've ever had before... what could be the cause of these problems?! Thanks in advance. =) EDIT1: Weird thing now is that when I try to open User Accounts, I get a message saying "Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment." Also, when I'm trying to open services.msc, I'm getting a script error that says that "Library not registered." (Code: 0, URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htm) Perhaps this is related to my other question, where I seemed to have an unregistered library of some sort. EDIT2: The DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer freakishly worked and updated successfully. Now, I have focussed the question on the bigger problem. For WMP11, H&S, and Search, I click it once, get a busy icon for a second, and then nothing happens. Refer to EDIT1 for other problems. EDIT3: Seems that my problems may be related to some Internet Explorer Script Errors. So what I did was download the IE8 installer from the Microsoft website, but when I run it and get to the main portion of the installer, it just keeps looping on the Downloading step of the installation. The installer is still running, but I left it for at least 4 hours and the downloading step was still not finished. What is the problem? Also, I uninstalled Ubuntu 9.10 after these problems, but they still remain. EDIT4: I'm getting an active desktop recovery background on startup now. And within seconds my computer hangs again. EDIT3 explains main issue though.

Where do i get the password/username/dbname for the PostgreSQL database to drop the existing schema? I tried cat /etc/cloudera-scm-server/db*.properties | grep pass and /var/lib/cloudera-scm-server-db/data/generated-password.txt but the passwords don't work!

  I have got a virtual server running opensuse 11.4 with apache, php, oracle instantclient, and oci installed through pecl. The steps it took for me to have it up and running on 11.4 were: # Install instantclient rpm -Uvh oracle-instantclient11.2-basic-11.2.0.2.0.x86_64.rpm rpm -Uvh oracle-instantclient11.2-devel-11.2.0.2.0.x86_64.rpm # Install OCI8 through pecl pecl install oci8 # add oci8 to modules vi /etc/php5/conf.d/oci8.ini extension=oci8.so # add LD_LIBRARY_PATH to apache vi /etc/sysconfig/apache2 # add to bottom of script export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client64/lib" # restart Apache /etc/init.d/apache2 restart Celebrating the same procedure on a fresh installation of OpenSUSE 12.1 results in apache throwing the following message at startup: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php5/extensions/oci8.so' - libnnz11.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 I can't get any explanation, why it is working for 11.4 and in 12.1 it stops working. Can someone please point me in the right direction..

• Libvirt installation - Centos

  I am currently using Centos 6. I want to use the latest version of libvirt (libvirt 0.9.4). The machine already has libvirt 0.8.1 installed . I did yum remove libvirt to remove the existing libvirt and I compiled 0.9.4 from source using : ./configure --prefix=/ make make install ldconfig /etc/init.d/libvirtd start After the installation is complete, I wanted to use the virsh interface. Once I enter virsh , I get : virsh /lib/libvirt.so.0: version 'LIBVIRT_PRIVATE 0.8.1' not found (required by virsh) Can somone let me know how to solve this issue? • Ubuntu 9.1 Install from Disc Stalls After "Install Ubuntu" Sleclection is Made - eMachine

  I am trying to install Ubuntu 9.1 from the ISO on a CD (it needs to be this version) on an eMachine with a brand new Seagate hard disk. The CD boots OK, and I choose the language. Then I am presented with the choices: Try Ubuntu Install Ubuntu.... etc, etc... I have tried the top two choices several times (trying Ubuntu and installing it), but each and every time the installation stalls and the disc stops spinning right after I hit enter after choosing the option I want. I have tried different CD/DVD drives, changing the jumpers on both CD drives, different hard drives, and nothing works. Maybe there is a BIOS setting that is choking the installation? Any help would be appreciated.

• Kickstart PXE Boot Installation not working

  I tried installing PXE Boot Installation Server on RHEL 6.0. I seem to have done everything according to the page: http://www.linux-sxs.org/internet_serving/pxeboot.html. In my case, the client boots, gets DHCP IP address from our server, connects to the Kickstart server too, but then nothing happens. It shows: Loading 192.168.1.101: pxe.linux.0 ..... 192.168.1.101 in my kickstart server. Did any one face such a situation? I'm using a test env on Oracle Virtualbox with DNS Server on RHEL 6.0, DHCP Server on CentOS 6.0 and Kickstart server on RHEL 6.0. The image I'm trying to install is that of REHL 6.0!   I can't seem to get CPAN installs working on a Solaris machine.
