I have successfully merged my changes from the branch back to the trunk using, reintegrate merge http://mybranch into C:\code\trunk Now i need to recreate my development branch from the trunk.     UIImagePickerController changes statusbar style to black/opaque. I want to keep status-bar style black/translucent. I'm finding a way to prevent status bar style changing. Or making it transited smoothly. Now, presenting UIImagePickerController changes status-bar style instantly, even -[presentModalViewController:picker animated:YES] specified. Any method, welcome, including hacking or private method. This is an app for AppStore, however I want to even try.

  • Conditional action based on whether any file in a directory has a ctime newer than X

    I would like to run a backup job on a directory tree from a bash script if any of the files have been modified in the last 30 minutes. I think I can hack together something using find with the -ctime flag, but I'm sure there is a standard way to examine a directory for changes. I know that I can inspect the ctime of the top level directory to see if files were added, but I need to be able to see changes also. FWIW, I am using duplicity to backup directories to S3.

    Hi, I would like Eclipse to automatically save every time I edit a file, in much the same way that it builds automatically. Because I've been using IntelliJ for the last year (which saves automatically by default), I keep having the following problem: Make some changes in Eclipse Forget to press save Run the build, unit tests, and notice some strange behaviour (Some time later....) realise that the unexpected behaviour occurred because I forgot to save the changes Is there any way I can make Eclipse save automatically?     What happens if #setDefault(TimeZone timezone) is called by a concurrent application running on the same application server with JDK 1.6 As discussed in TimeZone #setDefault changes in JDK 6 the call now changes VM wide, this can have horrible consequences. If you're not adminsitrating the application server, how to ensure TimeZone doesn't change?

It ignores the new files because they are marked as copies of the branch. So when it diffs them against the head of the branch, no differences are found. How do I force svn diff to pick up these changes?

    Is there a way to reload an Android application in the emulator without closing the emulator, saving any code changes, and running the emulator again? If I make even a simple change to the layout, it takes about 30 seconds by time I run it in Eclipse and Android "boots", and I can unlock the emulator to run the application. Is there any way to shorten this time when making changes, or is it something I just have to deal with?

    Hi, Does anyone know of a way to obtain the phone service state (IN_SERVICE, OUT_OF_SERVICE, EMERGENCY_ONLY, POWER_OFF) in android. I was hoping there would be a broadcastreciever to identify the changes, but I can't find anything. I know there's a listener but I'm not sure how I would use that from my app as it runs as a service using a WakefulIntentService (by thecommonsguy). With something like battery level (ie BATTERY_LOW, BATTERY_OKAY) it's quite easy, but I just can't work out a similar things for phone service changes.

    I have an application that is installed and updated via ClickOnce. The application downloads files via FTP, and therefore needs to be added as an exception to the windows firewall. Because of the way that ClickOnce works, the path to the EXE changes with every update, so the exception needs to change also. What would be the best way to have the changes made to the firewall so that it's invisible to the end user? (The application is written in C#)

    Hi, I manage to localized app icon and app name for different languages.I found the icon changes depending on the language setting on the iphone only when the first time when you install the app from xcode. after that, if i change the language setting, the app icon stay the same but only the app name changes to the localized one. Anyone has an idea is there is way of solving the problem? it seems iphone doens't refresh the icon after you change the language setting. Tony
