  • How can I block based on URL (from address bar) in a safari extension

    I'm trying to write an extension that will block access to (configurable) list of URLs if they are accessed more than N times per hour. From what I understand, I need to have a start script pass a "should I load this" message to a global HTML page (who can access the settings object to get the list of URLs), who will give a thumbs up/thumbs down message back to the start script to deny/allow loading. That works out fine for me, but when I use the usual beforeLoad/canLoad handlers, I get messages for all the sub-items that need to be loaded (images/etc..), which screws up the #accesses/hour limit I'm trying to make. Is there a way to synchronously pass messages back and forth between the two sandboxes so I can tell the global HTML page, "this is the URL in the window bar and the timestamp for when this request came in", so I can limit duplicate requests?   • Getting jQuery to return an ajax object

    Hello, The question title is a bit strange because I'm not exactly sure how to phrase the problem. The issue is that I have many links to which I want to bind a click event with an ajax call, and I'm just looking to refactor some duplicate code into a single area. The links I'm trying to bind an ajax call only have one thing that differentiates them, and that's an id from a previously declared object. So I have lots of code that looks like this: $("a.link").bind('click', function() { id = obj.id; $.ajax({ url: "/set/" + id, dataType: 'json', type: "POST" }) }); I was trying to refactor it into something like this: $("a.link").bind('click', ajax_link(obj.id)); function ajax_link(id) { $.ajax({ url: "/set/" + id, dataType: 'json', type: "POST" }) }); However, as you can imagine, this just actually makes the ajax call when the element is binded with the click event. Is there an easy way to refactor this code so I can extract out the common ajax code into its own function, and hopefully reduce the number of lines of jQuery in my current script?

    If I have a list in python such as: stuff = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9] with length n (in this case 9) and I am interested in creating lists of length n/2 (in this case 4). I want all possible sets of n/2 values in the original list, for example: [1, 2, 3, 4], [2, 3, 4, 5], ..., [9, 1, 2, 3] is there some list comprehension code I could use to iterate through the list and retrieve all of those sublists? I don't care about the order of the values within the lists, I am just trying to find a clever method of generating the lists.

  • Why does File::Slurp return a scalar when it should return a list?

    I am new to the File::Slurp module, and on my first test with it, it was not giving the results I was expecting. It took me a while to figure it out, so now I am interested in why I was seeing this certain behavior. My call to File::Slurp looked like this: my @array = read_file( $file ) || die "Cannot read $file\n"; I included the "die" part because I am used to doing that when opening files. My @array would always end up with the entire contents of the file in the first element of the array. Finally I took out the "|| die" section, and it started working as I expected. I have a feeling this might be more of a Perl precedence question instead of a File::Slurp question. I looked in the File::Slurp module and it looks like it is set to croak if there is a problem, so I guess the proper way to do it is to allow File::Slurp to croak for you.     I have the following Linq Expression var tooDeep = shoppers .Where(x => x.Cart.CartSuppliers.First().Name == "Supplier1") .ToList(); I need to turn the name part into the following string. x.Cart.CartSuppliers.Name As part of this I turned the Expression into a string and then split on the . and removed the First() argument. However, when I get to CartSuppliers this returns a Suppliers[] array. Is there a way to get the single type from this. eg. I need to get a Supplier back. Thanks

It works fine until it returns from the Sagepay site and all of my local user session vars are destroyed for some reason.Thus i am unable to use my own created session vars and save information about a user regarding that specific order.     I am using the ConfigurationManager.AppSetting["blah"].ToString() method to get the path to the folder that contains the files I'm needing. But I'm throwing an UnsupportedFormatException on the path when it tries to use Directory.GetFiles(path). The returning value has the escape characters included and I'm not sure how to keep it from returning the extra characters. This is what the path looks like after it is returned: \\\\\\\\C:\\\\folder1\\\\folder2

  • PHP does not return errors at all

    I am running PHP and nginx and I use a production version of php.ini. So the variable display_error is set to Off and there is a good reason I want it this way. But for certain files I need to enable error reporting. I used ini_set to turn on error reporting. But a simple code snippet like: <?php error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set("display_errors", 1); echo "hi"errorrrrr ?> does not trace the error. It simply returns a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error message. What should I do to enable error reporting?

  • Return and Save XML Object From Sharepoint List Web Service

    I am trying to populate a variable with an XML response from an ajax call on page load so that on keyup I can filter through that list without making repeated get requests (think very rudimentary autocomplete). The trouble that I am having seems to be potentially related to variable scoping but I am fairly new to js/jQuery so I am not quite certain. The following code doesn't do anything on key up and adding alerts to it tells me that it is executing leadResults() on keyup and that the variable is returning an XML response object but it appears to be empty. The strange bit is that if I move the leadResults() call into the getResults() function the UL is populated with the results correctly.   • sql query to return items based on text and group ID

I have a pre-existing query (stored procedure) that returns items based on 3 specific ID's. What I want to do is to be able to reduce the results even further based upon a column within the results having the exact same string.     I'm convinced at this point that I should be creating subclasses of std::exception for all my exception throwing needs. Now I'm looking at how to override the what method. The situation that I'm facing, it would be really handy if the string what returns be dynamic. Some pieces of code parse an XML file for example, and adding a position or line number to the error message is useful to me. What I'd like to know: what returns a const char *, which implies any catcher is likely not going to free the string. So I need some other place to store the result, but where would that be? (I need thread-safety.) what also includes throw() in its signature. While I can prevent my what from throwing anything, it seems to me that this method really isn't intended for anything too dynamic. If what is not the right place, then where should I be doing this instead?

    I've created a program to get a string input from a user and parse it into tokens and move a robot according to the input. The program is supposed to recognize these inputs(where x is an integer): "forward x" "back x" "turn left x" "turn right x" and "stop". The program does what it's supposed to for all commands except for "stop".
