  I'm having difficulty modifying a script for this situation and wondering if someone maybe able to help: I have an address table and a phone table both sharing the same column called id_number. So id_number = 2 on both tables refers to the same entity. Address and phone information used to be stored in one table (the address table) but it is now split into address and phone tables since we moved to Oracle 11g. There is a 3rd table called both_ids. This table also has an id_number column in addition to an other_ids column storing SSN and some other ids. • Proliant Support Pack and Ubuntu on older HP Proliants

  We have a couple of oldish HP Proliant servers -- one DL385 G1 and one DL360 G5, to be exact -- that we'd like to upgrade from CentOS 5 to Ubuntu LucidLynx. The problem is that HP doesn't offer Ubuntu Proliant Support Packs for these particular models. Would you upgrade regardless, skipping the PSPs altogether? Are there alternative hardware monitoring tools that would match the functionality of the PSPs? Is there a hack to install the PSP RPMs on an Ubuntu system?

I removed both sources php53.dotdeb.org from /etc/apt/sources.list and I did apt-get update && apt-get upgrade, but it didn't downgrade anything.   Greetings, I have a machine with a 120GB ATA drive that has what I thought to be non-essential data on it. I also have a 320GB SATA hard drive with the OS/Application/Files (good data I want to keep). My 120GB ATA is failing I believe, as my computer kept slowing to a halt. However, when I move the drive from BIOS my computer will not start, says "GRUB Hard Disk Error". I know that my Fedora system has an LVM setup. I am looking to just remove the 120GB drive from "the mix", and just have one hard drive. How do I recover ? Thank you. I have access to a Linux Live CD right now and can make any changes. • Can I use imp/exp tools to migrate database from Oracle 9 to Oracle 10

  I'm subcontractor and my client wants to upgrade Oracle database from 9 to 10. Other vendor is going to perform the upgrade process, and I was asked to create whatever backup I need before the upgrade, and then recreate the environment in Oracle 10. All my data is stored in a separate database in a single schema. No fancy relations, scripts or anything like this (actual app supports different dbs: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres so we want to avoid any DB-specific code). I was hoping to use imp/exp but I'm not sure if imp/exp are backward compatible (exp from O9 and imp to O10)? If there is a better/recommended way of dealing with similar situation, I'll be grateful for any advice.

• How to open a .pbproj on Xcode?

  I downloaded a sample code from the MAC OSX developer library and the code is the format of a .pbproj (Project builder) and im unable to open it on xcode. I have tried the following without any luck:- 1) Rename FancyAbout.pbproj to Old.xcodeproj 2) Open Old.xcodeproj. Xcode will ask you to upgrade it. Save it as FancyAbout.xcodeproj. 3) When the project opens, choose Project Upgrade All Targets in Project to Native... to upgrade to the Xcode build system 4) Build and run. It works. I run a Mac 10.7.3 with Xcode on 4.3.2 Anyone have any suggestions on how i can get this running in xcode? Thanks in advance!

• Best Installation Software?

  I am interested in knowing what the best software would be to build an installation package that performs the following: (1) Installs client application (2) Detects all SQL server instances on network, allowing user to select specific database to upgrade (which would then upgrade database using an embedded SQL script) (3) Installs website on a server/location specified by user, and configures IIS 6.0 and/or 7.0 based on settings that I specify. (4) Creates a simple setup.exe - and allows user to choose installation components (listed above, i.e install client app, sql server database, and/or website), and then download selected components from remove server. I have tried NSIS - as was able to create an installation package that will download a compressed (gzip) component from a remote server, decompress the file, install the components, and then remove the gzip file. So, this worked beautifully. The part where I am stuck is to be able to perform the database upgrade and website install. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. Chris
