I have written file like for the table PersonalInfo. <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?> <PersonalInfo> <xs:schema id="PersonalInfo" xmlns="" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata"> <xs:element name="PersonalInfo" msdata:IsDataSet="true" msdata:UseCurrentLocale="true"> <xs:complexType> <xs:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"> <xs:element name="PesonalInfo."> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <!--Define Column Here....--> <xs:element name="name" type="xs:string" /> <xs:element name="address" type="xs:string" /> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:choice> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:schema> <!--First Row--> <PersonalInfo.> <name>Harikrishna</name> <address>India</address> </PersonalInfo.> <!--Second Row--> <PersonalInfo.> <name>Jatin</name> <address>India</address> </PersonalInfo.> </PersonalInfo> Please suggest any mistake with writing file here. And now I want define more than table in this file.   • LINQ to XML, a problem conceptualizing how the tree should look.

    - by snark
    Have you ever had one of those days when you've dug a hole but your so deep in now that the only option is to keep on digging and see where you come out? I thought just for giggles in the latest component I'm writing to use LINQ to XML because it was about time I saw what all the hooplah was about. The problem: I am making a graph component that contains series of data that get graphed and then you can apply a formula to that series and graph another series then apply a formula to that series and so on. So I figured that I would do so in 2 steps, create (and manage) an XML representaion of the series and how they relate to each other, then pass this xml to a draw engine which draws. Conceptually its a tree, with the exception of the root all child series being based upon a parent (1 parent can have many children. So I should always be adding child nodes to their parent and if I delete a node(series) then I can simply delete the series and its descendants (then draw) and voila all the messy iterating through each node finding parents and children is unneccessary. Trouble is I dont know how to represent this tree in XML i.e. the structure. My first attempt saw me programatically adding each series as siblings, which worked like a treat because I ended up with an ordered list and thus my order of rendering was maintained. I had this <Chart> <Series id="1">seriesText1</Series> <Series id="2">seriesText2</Series> <Series id="3">seriesText3</Series> <Series id="4">seriesText4</Series> </Chart> I'm in a muddle now ... how can I represent a series and a series that has children series. If some-one can give me a hint to how my tree should look (perhaps with a snippet on how to programatically add nodes to their parents) All the examples I have read usually have some container elements such as <ContactS> or <BookS> but my head says I have <series> some of them parent some of them children. Would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

    Store a byte[] stored in a SQL XML parameter to a varbinary(MAX) field in SQL Server 2005. Can it be done ? Here's my stored procedure: set ANSI_NULLS ON set QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON GO ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[AddPerson] @Data AS XML AS INSERT INTO Persons (name,image_binary) SELECT rowWals.value('./@Name', 'varchar(64)') AS [Name], rowWals.value('./@ImageBinary', 'varbinary(MAX)') AS [ImageBinary] FROM @Data.nodes ('/Data/Names') as b(rowVals) SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() AS Id In my schema Name is of type String and ImageBinary is o type byte[].

  • DataContractSerializer: preserve string member that happens to be raw xml?

    - by bwerks
    I'm a little inexperienced with the DataContract paradigm, and I'm running into a deserialization problem. I have a field that's a string, but it contains xml and it's not being deserialized correctly. I have a feeling that it's because the DCS is treating it as input to the serializer and not as an opaque string object. Is there some way to mark a DataMember in code to say "This thing is a string, don't treat its contents as xml" similar to XmlIgnore? Thanks!

  • How can I save and read to XML the new C++ style matrix objects in OpenCV?

    - by neuviemeporte
    The old, C style cvMat matrices could be passed to the cvSave() function for easy writing to an XML file. The new C++ style cv::Mat and cv::Mat_ matrices are not accepted by this function. The OpenCV reference has a section on XML persistence, but the three classes (FileStorage, FileNode and FileNodeIterator) lack any description or example and I can't figure out how to use them from the interface. Thanks.

  • .NET: How to ignore comments when reading a XML file into a XmlDocument?

    - by tunnuz
    Hello, I am trying to read a XML document with C#, I am doing it this way: XmlDocument myData = new XmlDocument(); myData.Load("datafile.xml"); anyway, I sometimes get comments when reading XmlNode.ChildNodes. Is there a way to avoid that? I know that you can avoid reading comments if you use XmlReader, but then, how to get the XmlDocument out of a XmlReader? Thank you Tommaso

  • How does JSON compare to XML in terms of file size and serialisation/deserialisation time?

    - by nbolton
    I have an application that performs a little slow over the internet due to bandwidth reasons. I have enabled GZip which has improved download time by a significant amout, but I was also considering whether or not I could switch from XML to JSON in order to squeeze out that last bit of performance. Would using JSON make the message size significantly smaller, or just somewhat smaller? Let's say we're talking about 250kB of XML data (which compresses to 30kB).

  • Can you use Ant to Build/Modify XML files?

    - by user369701
    I am quite new to ant and have been looking at the tasks. I am trying to generate an xml file. Do I need to call an external process or does ant have some way to do this? It could be as simple as sending a string to a txt file and saving it as a .xml. Is it possible?

    I have a html file with xml snipped embedded, the source code is pasted in the pastbin: http://pastebin.com/Hy0QaWk8 my task is to extract the text enclosed in the first textarea, which is a xml snippet, from the html. Without any change to the original snippet. I'm able to get it by using the BeautifulSoup, but it changes all the tag names into lower case.
