• python objects confusion

  wow i thought i knew python untill tonight.. what is the correct way to do something like this.. heres my code a = ["one", "two", "three"] b = a #here i want a complete copy that when b is changed, has absolutely no effect on a b.append["four"] print a #a now has "four" in it.. so basically i want to know, instead of the b = a step, how would i correctly make a copy of a list or dictionary so that when b is changed a does not change along with it.. thanks guys

  Hi guys, Can any one help me how to sort rows by relevance for the following criterion ? tbluser First Name Last Name tbleduc School College University On the search form the user has following fields Name School College University Where School College and University are Optional.. And Name is split into 2 words (other words in middle are omitted), first word is taken as first anme and last word as last name.. Now I would like to implement search based on relevance.   Hi guys Is there a way to check the data sent by a form to a PHP page return to the form page WITHOUT resetting the data sent and show a error? The form has 20 fields and I need to check one of them on a bd. If it fails the user may be redirected to the form page with the form populated and displaying a error message on the field which is 'wrong'. I would like any advice of a technique instead of populating each field using PHP.

  hi guys, Suppose my website is www.example.com Earlier the urls of my website was like this www.example.com/php/bookdetails.php?bid=33 Last week i changed the urls of my site to this www.example.com/bookdetails/33 and wrote an htacces like this RewriteRule ^bookdetails/(.*)$ php/bookSearchResult.php?bid=$1 The problem is that there are some external site using my earlier URL structure (www.example.com/php/bookdetails.php?bid=33) and what i want is to redirect it to my new URL structure (www.example.com/bookdetails/33). I know it can be possible in htaccess, but i have no idea how to do it

  how can I change the background of an ImageView from java? I have an ImageView and at a certain point I need to change the image that it displays (set in the styles). I tried to do it like this: placeHolder.setImageDrawable(myDrawb); but it looks like the old image remains there and it is partially covered but the new one (which in my case has different shape). hope you guys can help! cheers
