    I have created a view in interface builder that contains another view (content area) and a button bar at the bottom. The hierarchy is as: ->View --->mapContainer UIView ----->map MKMapView ----->OverlayView UIView --->ToolBar UIToolBar I would like the mapContainer to resize to full window when the ToolBar is hidden. I would like the map and the OverlayView to resize to the mapContainer size I have attempted the following code, but it has no effect.     I have a listbox where I want to copy and paste items within that listbox. Copy and paste works fine but everytime I press "Crtl + C" the item starting with the letter C is automatically selected.     Suppose I have a class A and a class B. The .h of A, needs the .h of B, and the .h of B needs the .h of A. (need = #include). All .h have the guards: #ifndef _classX_ #define _classX_ ... ... #endif But if I compile the .cpp of A, then when it includes the .h of B, the B class cannot include the .h of A class because the A class has already use the guard. How can i solve this?

    I am having a somewhat strange error with my jquery dialog. When I have it autoopen, the dialog box is completely empty. If I exit out of the dialog and then reopen (through the standard dialog open event) the content appears. The jquery setup: $("#content_locker").dialog({ autoOpen: true, modal: true, height: 600, width: 800 }); Here you can see the webpage that I am working on (it is a link-shortening service). The dialog div starts on line 148 of the source: <div id="content_locker" title="Exclusive Content"> You will see that the dialog is empty. If you exit out and click on the unlock button, the proper html is there. Any ideas?

  • Incorrect usage of UPDATE and ORDER BY

    I have written some code to update certain rows of a table with a decreasing sequence of numbers. To select the correct rows I have to JOIN two tables. The last row in the table needs to have a value of 0, the second last -1 and so on. To achieve this I use ORDER BY DESC. Unfortunately my code brings up the following error: Incorrect usage of UPDATE and ORDER BY My reading suggests that I can't use UPDATE, JOIN and ORDER BY together. I've read that maybe subqueries might help? I don't really have any idea how to change my code to do this. I have stored some short bits of JavaScript that I need to insert into the template without it automatically encoding the string?

    Hello folks, I'm developing in LAMP (Linux+Apache+MySQL+PHP) since I remember myself. But one question was bugging me for years now. I hope you can help me to find an answer and point me into the right direction. Here is my challenge: Say, we are creating a community website, where we allow our users to register. The MySQL table where we store all users would look then like this: CREATE TABLE `users` ( `uid` int(2) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment COMMENT 'User ID', `name` varchar(20) NOT NULL, `password` varchar(32) NOT NULL COMMENT 'Password is saved as a 32-bytes hash, never in plain text', `email` varchar(64) NOT NULL, `created` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL default '0' COMMENT 'Timestamp of registration', `updated` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL default '0' COMMENT 'Timestamp of profile update, e.g. change of email', PRIMARY KEY (`uid`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; So, from this snippet you can see that we have a unique and automatically incrementing for every new user 'uid' field. As on every good and loyal community website we need to provide users with possibility to completely delete their profile if they want to cancel their participation in our community. Here comes my problem. Let's say we have 3 registered users: Alice (uid = 1), Bob (uid = 2) and Chris (uid = 3). Now Bob want to delete his profile and stop using our community. If we delete Bob's profile from the 'users' table then his missing 'uid' will create a gap which will be never filled again. In my opinion it's a huge waste of uid's. I see 3 possible solutions here: 1) Increase the capacity of the 'uid' field in our table from SMALLINT (int(2)) to, for example, BIGINT (int(8)) and ignore the fact that some of the uid's will be wasted. 2) introduce the new field 'is_deleted', which will be used to mark deleted profiles (but keep them in the table, instead of deleting them) to re-utilize their uid's for newly registered users. The table will look then like this: CREATE TABLE `users` ( `uid` int(2) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment COMMENT 'User ID', `name` varchar(20) NOT NULL, `password` varchar(32) NOT NULL COMMENT 'Password is saved as a 32-bytes hash, never in plain text', `email` varchar(64) NOT NULL, `is_deleted` int(1) unsigned NOT NULL default '0' COMMENT 'If equal to "1" then the profile has been deleted and will be re-used for new registrations', `created` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL default '0' COMMENT 'Timestamp of registration', `updated` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL default '0' COMMENT 'Timestamp of profile update, e.g. change of email', PRIMARY KEY (`uid`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; 3) Write a script to shift all following user records once a previous record has been deleted. E.g. in our case when Bob (uid = 2) decides to remove his profile, we would replace his record with the record of Chris (uid = 3), so that uid of Chris becomes qual to 2 and mark (is_deleted = '1') the old record of Chris as vacant for the new users. In this case we keep the chronological order of uid's according to the registration time, so that the older users have lower uid's. Please, advice me now which way is the right way to handle the gaps in the auto_increment fields. This is just one example with users, but such cases occur very often in my programming experience. I can't use the Auto Increment Identity Specification option as that has no idea that it is part of a composite key. I also don't want to use any aggregate function such as: MAX(field)+1 as this will have adverse affects with multiple users inputting data, rolling back etc. There might however be a nice trigger based option here, but I'm not sure. This must be a common issue so I'm hoping that someone has a lovely solution. As a side which may or may not affect the answer, I'm using Entity Framework 1.0 as my ORM, within a c# MVC application.

  • multi-shop orders table and sequential order numbers based on shop

    Hey, I am looking at building a shop solution that needs to be scalable. Currently it retrieves 1-2000 orders on average per day across multiple country based shops (e.g. uk, us, de, dk, es etc.) but this order could be 10x this amount in two years. I am looking at either using separate country-shop databases to store the orders tables, or looking to combine all into one order table. If all orders exist in one table with a global ID (auto num) and country ID (e.g uk,de,dk etc.), each countries orders would also need to have sequential ordering. So in essence, we'd have to have a global ID and a country order ID, with the country order ID being sequential for countries only, e.g. global ID = 1000, country = UK, country order ID = 1000 global ID = 1001, country = DE, country order ID = 1000 global ID = 1002, country = DE, country order ID = 1001 global ID = 1003, country = DE, country order ID = 1002 global ID = 1004, country = UK, country order ID = 1001 THe global ID would be DB generated and not something I would need to worry about. But I am thinking that I'd have to do a query to get the current country order based ID+1 to find the next sequential number. Two things concern me about this: 1) query times when the table has potentially millions of rows of data and I'm doing a read before a write, 2) the potential for ID number clashes due to simultaneous writes/reads. With a MyISAM table the entire table could be locked whilst the last country order + 1 is retrieved, to prevent ID number clashes. I am wondering if anyone knows of a more elegant solution?   • PHP suddenly failed after IIS update

    All my application pools were stopped this morning after I got to work. I can restart them, but when I try to load the website the app pool crashes again. Update: I've looked in the GAC as the error below suggests and it seems that the file is not there. How do I get it back? Update 2: I found a further error in the event log saying The Module name FastCgiModule path C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetsrv\iisfcgi.dll returned an error from registration. The data is the error. So following the information from here http://forums.iis.net/t/1153937.aspx I removed CGI and my sites are working again. This has fixed the initial problem, but now I don't have FastCGI so I'm fairly sure that PHP will no longer be working (I don't have any PHP at the moment to test).
