  I know, that modern compilers can do procedural integration not only with functions defined inline, but also with functions residing in object files. But is this also true when you compile your program against shared library (especially dll)? Roughly speaking: will function code be copied into executable from dll, if that's desirable?

  Just as the title says: how do I make a simple hello world program which, instead of printing Hello World, prints its own source code? I thought about resource files, but I think they count as source code, or I could hack the executable, include the source code somewhere in the file. Can anyone point me in the right direction? • Seam EJB3 in an EAR is it usable by another App?

  Seam 2.1 and JBoss 4.2.2 I have set up the first App to have the EJB in the EAR with a local interface. the 2nd app can look up JDNI name "ear-name/ejbname/local" but fails with "NoClassDefFound". Does the EJB .jar need to be outside of the EAR? Is this a classloader visibility issue or Is this a JBoss version issue? or something else? Thank you for your thoughts..

  I'm working on a Website with Struts2 and Freemarker. Whenever I add form tags such as: <@s.form action="foo" <@s.combobox (...)/ It generates a bunch of html/css/javascript that I don't need. Is there any way I can specify that no extra elements should be generated or do I really need to go into Freemarker.jar and edit the templates to my liking?

  Is there a third party library to detect the use of a Java 1.5 library when compiling with a 1.5 compiler with -source 1.4 and -target 1.4? I could use a 1.4 rt.jar in the bootclasspath however I hope there is a better way. To be used, for example, to fail the compile/build if a newer library is used.

  I have my iPhone setup on my computer at home, with my developer account and provisioning profile. I'm trying to get it setup on my work computer so I can run work apps on it as well. My work has their own dev account. I created an app ID and privisioning profile on my personal account and downloaded it on my work computer but its not letting me compile and run on my iPhone. It says valid provisiong profile not found on executable.

But I need that a PHP could run the application like that, then I want to know: How could I do this on a server that have exec() disabled and I can't turn it on, because I don't have privileges to do it?   I am trying to use the Sunlight API gem with a Rails project. I have installed the gem and can successfully use it from irb. However, when I put the require statement (require 'sunlight') in sunlight.rb in config/initializers, I get the following error: /opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-3.0.0.beta3/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:209:in `require': no such file to load -- sunlight (LoadError) I checked the permissions on the gems directory, and it is world readable/executable.   I've known that I should use -l option for liking objects using GCC. that is gcc -o test test.c -L./ -lmy But I found that "gcc -o test2 test.c libmy.so" is working, too. When I use readelf for those two executable I can't find any difference. Then why people use -l option for linking objects? Does it have any advantage?

  Hi, I noticed that neither the zip or jar targets are including empty directories. I googled a little and found this was a regression issue way back with 1.6 (.2 I think), but it was claimed to have been fixed. I was using 1.8.0 so I upgraded to 1.8.1, but am having the same issue. Anyone know of any workarounds besides adding dummy files to those directories? Thanks, Ben Anderson
