  I have a set of machines as follows My home laptop running Win7 Ultimate with internet connection. A vmware workstation vm running Windows Server 2003 Standard edition server in my laptop w/o internet connectivity Some of my peers' machines connected to internet I want to create a VPN with these machines, provided the VM will not have any direct internet connection and my peers should able to connect to the SVN server application running on this Win2003 server VM. Can anybody please suggest me how to setup this network, what software I need to install in both physical machine and vm, what kind of network connectivity should be there between vmware guest and host machine? EDIT: I deliberately don't want to connect the VM with internet. The host will work more of a gateway of the VPN connection for the VM.

  I have two volumes, one xfs, and another ntfs - ntfs was empty, and xfs had 10 subitems. I needed to sync them. I initially copied a few of the subitems by dragging them over in a gui fm. Several of the direct descendants which i had dragged finished, apparently. One I stopped before it was done, and the rest I cancelled while it still appeared to be gathering information about the files. Then I ran rsync -acvvv xmp/ nmp/, where xmp and nmp are the volumes' respective mountpoints, which exited with a 0 status. find xmp -printf x | wc -c and find nmp -printf x | wc -c both return 372926. My question is: Am I guaranteed that the two drives' contents are identical?

  Hello, Can anyone tell me what is the difference between SSL_CTX_set_cert_verify_callback and SSL_CTX_set_verify? From OpenSSL docs: SSL_CTX_set_cert_verify_callback() sets the verification callback function for ctx. SSL objects that are created from ctx inherit the setting valid at the time when SSL_new(3) is called. and: SSL_CTX_set_verify() sets the verification flags for ctx to be mode and specifies the verify_callback function to be used. If no callback function shall be specified, the NULL pointer can be used for verify_callback. So I'm trying to understand which callback to send for each one (from client side). Thanks experts.

  Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to do the following considering that I would like to migrate domains. I have lets say: one.com/files/one.html one.com/files/two.php one.com/other/three.html one.com/other/four.doc one.com/other/subdirectory/five.doc I am migrating to two.com So I would like to make RESPECTIVE 301 redirects to the following: two.com/old/files/one.html two.com/old/files/two.php two.com/old/other/three.html two.com/old/other/four.doc two.com/old/other/subdirectory/five.doc I've tried with cPanel and although I come "close" with the redirects option I can't seem to make it happen. The folders are not much (10 -12) the file are a lot, and obviously impossible to make it manually. How would you proceed? Can this/ should this be done with regex from the .htaccess?? Can you direct all the elements of a subdirectory in the manner expressed above? I hope the question is clear enough, if not please ask for any clarification needed!! Thanks in advance!!

Then ProductName is a Primary Column Group. It works perfect, But it shows the ProductNames in alphabatic order. I want it to show the ProductNames in custom order(defined by me).Like, ProductNo5 in 3rd column, ProductNo8 in 4th column, ProductNo1 in 5th column ... and so on!

  I'm trying to redirect all HTTP traffic to HTTPS. The web server I'm using is nginx. This is the server block I'm using to do the redirect. server { listen 80; rewrite ^ https://$server_name$request_uri? permanent; } This successfully redirects URLs like http://localhost to https://localhost. However, for URLs like http://localhost/table/ I get redirected to https://table which is incorrect. I would like it to re-direct to https://localhost/table/ Any help would be much appreciated. Update: It seems that the rewrite scheme has a problem with trailing slashes. For example, http://localhost/table gets correctly redirected but http://localhost/table/ does not.

• Maintaining CSS on a pre-built ASP.net website. How can I run this locally on a home linux server?

Later they decided it would be better for me to have a more direct role in dealing with the css. I've downloaded everything on the ftp but have no idea how to get this set up.   Hi. I have a plan to build a web-site which running CGI made with Cocoa. My final goal is develop on Mac OS X, and run on FreeBSD. Is this possible? As I know, there is a free implementation of some NextStep classes, the GNUStep. The web-site is almost built with only strings. I read GNUStep documents, classes are enough. DB connection will be made with C interfaces. Most biggest problem which I'm concerning is linking and binary compatibility. I'm currently configuring FreeBSD on VirtualBox, but I wanna know any possibility informations about this from experts. This is not a production server. Just a trial. Please feel free to saying anything.

• Why are my downloads up to ~1500KByte/sec only, when the ADSL connection locks at 13611Kbit/s?

  No uploading is going on other than the overhead of downloading which appears to be not high for the abilities of the connection: Only about 30-40KByte/s when the router locks at 1012Kb/s and other direct uploads or uploading overheads can reach more than 100KByte/sec so I don't think it's a congestion at uploading that is doing it. Is there something I miss? Because I assume 13611Kbit/s should be ~1701Kbyte/sec. Is it an overheard at the ADSL level I don't understand? Could it be the ISP doing it? If it's active throttling it can't be on single connections since 2 high speed connections still go up to ~1500KByte/sec. It's not an example on torrents or other complex situations. The tests were on Ethernet, but I doubt the results would be different on wireless. I wonder if the settings of those connections at my end could be doing it, e.g. MTU settings, though I haven't touched the defaults of a common Realtek NIC.

  I simply would like to upload a file to my database using ColdFusion. I understand how to upload an image to a directory, but I would like to place it directly in the database. I have set a database field to varbinary(MAX) to accept the image and have the stored procedure to insert it. Currently my code for uploading the image to my file system is: <cfif isdefined("form.FileUploadImage")> <cffile action="upload" filefield="FileUploadImage" destination="#uploadfolder#" nameconflict="overwrite" accept="image/*" > </cfif> I've obviously left some of the supporting code out, but really all I need to do is get a binary representation of the file stored in memory, instead of the file system.   We are trying to rewrite to another folder if the file does not exist in the document root, but does exist in the other folder. The other folder is in a completely different location, which is located using "Alias" in the vhosts. So, what we have so far (from this post How to rewrite URI from root if file exists in folder?) is: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/legacy/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ legacy/$1 [QSA,L] This works to an extent, but seems to direct everything to the legacy folder, not just when the file doesn't exist in the first location and does exist in legacy. • Wireless only connects to Google

  I am using a netgear wireless router to connect to create a wireless network. When connected to the router via an Ethernet cable everything works correctly. When connecting to the router via wireless only Google can be accessed. I've done searches via Google using random words to make sure that it is not a cached page, and these all work. However, trying to connect to any non Google domain the page fails to load. I've accessed the connection with two different laptops, both are running Windows Vista. The network connection is strong on both, but the issue persists for both. Edit: I have configured the wireless networks name and password, and connect to that using the credentials I have defined. I am sure I am not connecting to a neighbors wireless network. Edit2: Typing in the direct IP address for CNN.com ( http://157.166.255.19 ) would not resolve.

  Hello , Can somebody help me out in creating compiled queries where input is to be a list of class objects? I have seen examples where Func<DataContext, somematchobject, IQueryable<T>> is created and compiled. But can I do something like Func<List<T>, matchObject, T>, and compile it? Basically I want an object(T) meeting certain conditions (as in matchObject) to be returned from a list of objects(List<T>). Will CompiledQuery.Compile help me in this? Please help me experts!!

I want to perform an: apt-get install <package_name> Is there a way to somehow delegate the process of downloading the required files to another machine by exporting the server configuration so as to satisfy all dependencies while running: apt-get install --download-only <package_name> Can, in effect, apt-get install read a configuration from an exported archive rather than from the local package database? Can the list of packages to be downloaded be retrieved, along with an installation script to perform the installation, instead of the actual packages? (a further level of indirection which would help me schedule this with wget at appropriate times...)

  I have a Windows server running IIS. I wish to run a piece of software that hosts a web interface on a non-standard HTTP port (let's say, port 9999). I have static DNS entries on my router for two FQDNs, both of which direct to the Windows server. I wish to have requests to 'website1' to continue to go to the IIS website on port 80, but requests for 'website2' to instead go to port 9999 to be handled by the other application. How can I accomplish this? Right now I can get to the application by going to 'website1:9999' or 'website2:9999'.

(Many examples I've seen talk about directing mail to [email protected] into the same mail box as [email protected] - but this is not what I'm looking for.)   Are there any quality products (ideally open source) that allow me to run an arbitrary SQL query that results in 2 columns (username, group name) and they adds that username in AD to a group of that name in AD? If the username doesn't exist it is ignored. If the group name doesn't exist ideally it gets created. Updated for Clarity: I have a MSSQL based system that is the authoritative source for some of the Active Directory Security groups, and their members. I want to be able to to have those Active Directory Security Groups populated by a one-way sync originating from MSSQL. Sadly the MSSQL based system does not have a good API, so I will have to do this with direct SQL calls. Is there anything that does this well?

  Hi, Experts: Can you please give some suggestions on sqlite using at xcode? Within my application, I use a sqlite DB to store all local data. Two methods can be used to retrieve those data during running time. 1, Load all the data into memory at initialization stage. (More memory used, less DB open/close operation needed) 2, Read corresponding records when necessary, free the occupied memory after using. (Good habit for memory using, but much DB open/close operations needs). I prefer to use method 2, but not sure whether too many DB opening/closing operations could affect app's efficiency. Or do you think I can 'upgrade' method 2 by opening DB when app launches and closing DB when app quits? Thanks for your suggestions very much!
