  • How do bezier handles work?

    On Wikipedia I found information about bezier curves and made a function to generate the inbetween points for a bezier polygon. I noticed that Expression Design uses bezier handles. This allows a circle to be made with 4 points each with a bezier handle. I'm just not sure mathematically how this works in relation with the formula for bezier point at time T. How do these handle vectors work to modify the shape? Basically what's there relation to the bezier formula? Thanks

    How can I change my avatar on stackoverflow.com? I click the change picture link in my profile but it link to gravatar website, then I select the picture for my gravatar associated with my email. But my avatar on stackoverflow.com still not changes after 24hours as announced. Somebody has a work-around? Please help!

  • #validate does not seem to work correctly with :on => :create/:update

    Greetings, I have a custom validation in my exemplary Movie model: class Movie < ActiveRecord::Base validate :it, :on => :create private def it self.errors.add 'foo', 'bar' end end This works on movie creation but also on updating an existing movie. :on => :update will also work for both. I use API(8) level 2.2 and having KILL_BACKGROUND_PROCESSES permission in manifest. ActivityManager activityManager = (ActivityManager)getApplicationContext().getSystemService(Context.ACTIVITY_SERVICE); activityManager.killBackgroundProcesses("com.android.settings"); "com.android.settings" is checked by getPackageName of getRunningTasks in ActivityManager.

    I am unable to get Axis2 to work on my NetBeans 6.5. I have everything that written here http://netbeans.org/kb/61/websvc/gs-axis.html I am using embedded tomcat of Netbeans. So the problem I am getting is that I can see tomcat welcome page at http://localhost:8084/ but at http://localhost:8084/axis2/ I am getting HTTP Status 404.

    Hey there, i have tried to render some files with HAML in Rails 3. But HAMl doesn`t work. My testfiles have the extension .html.haml. In the GEMFile i have written gem 'haml' and executed the bundle install When i call my testapp i become an error like this: Template is missing Missing template posts/index with {:locale=>[:en, :en], :formats=>[:html], :handlers=>[:rjs, :rhtml, :rxml, :builder, :erb]} in view paths "/Users/piet/Sites/blog/app/views" Hope, i become some help here.   • How to get jQuery to work with Prototype

    Ok so here is the situation. Been pulling my hair out on this one. I'm a noob at this. Only been using rails for about 6 weeks. I'm using the standard setup package, and my code leverages prototype helpers heavily. Like I said, noob ;) So I'm trying to put in some jQuery effects, like PrettyPhoto. But what happens is that when the page is first loaded, PrettyPhoto works great. However, once someone uses a Prototype helper, like a link created with link_to_remote, Prettyphoto stops working. I've tried jRails, all of the fixes proposed on the JQuery site to stop conflicts... http://docs.jquery.com/Using_jQuery_with_Other_Libraries ...even done some crazy things likes renaming all of the $ in prototype.js to $$$ to no avail. Either the prototype helpers break, or jQuery breaks. Seems nothing I do can get these to work together. Any ideas?   • Which versions of NLog work with VS2010 RTM?

    Taking a look at NLog, it's unclear what version works with VS2010. It says that NLog 1.0 Refresh works with VS2010 beta but nothing else is indicated. There's an NLog 2.0 that is pre-beta that I'd rather not use if I didn't have to but it clearly does work with VS2010. So I'm wondering if I'm able to use 1.0 Refresh or do I need to go with 2.0 Preview 2?

  • iPhone OS: Tap status bar to scroll to top doesn't work after remove/add back

    Using this method to hide the status bar: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:YES]; When setting "hidden" back to NO, the tap-to-scroll-to-top (in UIWebView, UITableView, whatever) doesn't work any more, and requires a restart of the app to get the functionality back. Is this a bug (I filed a rdar anyhow) or have I missed a step? Should I perhaps expect this behavior since the statusBar "loses touch" somehow with the respective view?

    I use LinkButton linkBtn = (LinkButton)FindControl(ControlID); inside a method in my baseclass... This works within a normal aspx page when given, LinkButton linkBtn = (LinkButton)FindControl("lnkBtn1"); But when it is a contentpage included within a masterpage it doesn't work... LinkButton linkBtn = (LinkButton)FindControl("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_lnkbtn"); i get the error Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
