    Does jQuery validation plugin have some dependencies? For example, I saw blogposts that said delegate plugin should be used... but I don't see this plugin reference at any validation plugin example (for example, here: http://jquery.bassistance.de/validate/demo/milk/). The question arouse because validation plugin doesn't catch submit at my application.

Form w3schools: XML elements must follow these naming rules: Names can contain letters, numbers, and other characters Names cannot start with a number or punctuation character Names cannot start with the letters xml (or XML, or Xml, etc) Names cannot contain spaces I can write a basic regex that will check for rules 1,2 and 4, but it won't account for all punctuation allowed and won't account for 3rd rule \w[\w0-9-]

  • Reusing xalan transformer causing its extension functions break

    I am using xalan 2.7.1 to validate my xml docs with xslt style sheet. It works fine for the first document and returns error message in case of error along with correct line and column number of xml source by making use of NodeInfo.lineNumber and NodeInfo.columnNumber extensions. The problem is when I try to reuse transformer to validate other xml docs, it successfully transforms the document but always returns lineNumber=columnNumber=-1 for all errors. Any idea?     I receive Date and time from CSV file The received Date format is YYYMMDD (string) (there is no ":" ,"-","/" to separate Year month and date). The received time format is HH:MM (24 Hour clock). I have to validate both so that (example) (i) 000011990 could be invalidated for date (ii) 77:90 could be invalidated for time. The question is , Regular expression is the right candidate for do so (or) is there any other way to achieve it?

Now, i figure out that i have to write buddy class for every model or i have to go to designer generated code and put my annotations there (not a good idea though). if someone can suggest me a solution that helps me avoid writing those buddy classes and get the same functionality.     I have an XSD which was transformed from a RELAX NG schema with a few errors I am trying to fix. The big issue I have it with the following <xs:element name="list"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:choice> <xs:sequence> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="preamble"/> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="title"/> </xs:sequence> <xs:sequence> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="title"/> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="preamble"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:choice> <xs:group maxOccurs="unbounded" ref="block-selectionListItem"/> </xs:sequence> <xs:attributeGroup ref="attlist-selectionList"/> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> As you can see the xs:choice block allows you to pick between two xs:sequence blocks. Seems to make sense except that Visual Studio gives the following warning on the second <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="title/> element which is throwing everything off: Multiple definition of element 'title' causes the content model to become ambiguous. A content model must be formed such that during validation of an element information item sequence, the particle contained directly, indirectly or implicitly therein with which to attempt to validate each item in the sequence in turn can be uniquely determined without examining the content or attributes of that item, and without any information about the items in the remainder of the sequence. Because you can only choose one I do not see how this is ambiguous. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Edit: To be a bit more concise here are the possible outputs of the XML that would validate with this schema: <list> <preamble>My Preamble</preamble> <title>My Title</title> </list> or: <list> <title>My Title</title> <preamble>My Preamble</preamble> </list> As you can see it can be either one way or the other but not both. Also you could just have a title or a preamble and not both.

  • floating point precision in ruby on rails model validations

    Hello I am trying to validate a dollar amount using a regex: ^[0-9]+\.[0-9]{2}$ This works fine, but whenever a user submits the form and the dollar amount ends in 0(zero), ruby(or rails?) chops the 0 off. So 500.00 turns into 500.0 thus failing the regex validation. Is there any way to make ruby/rails keep the format entered by the user, regardless of trailing zeros?

  • The iPhone “phone” doesn’t have the provisioning profile with which the application was signed.

    i have tried everything to fix this provision problem and nothing is working. ive reformated my mac, reinstalled the iphone, ive also dragged the provisions (developer and distribution) onto the organizer, itunes, and xcode. in itunes people say to drag the provisions to the iphone icon but that doesnt work its only able to go under library it shows a blue rectangle for me to drop it there. i just have a newly created dummy app with a 57x57 icon. ive also setup the project with the distribution thing with its distribution provision. when i build i get this: The iPhone “myphone” doesn’t have the provisioning profile with which the application was signed. Click “Install and Run” to install the provisioning profile “distribution” on “myphone” and continue running “helloworld.app”. and it has a button "install and run" ive clicked on that hundreths of times and nothing. in orgranizer i see a tab called console ive cleared it and rebuild the app and there is some output that i dont understand. I'm thinking its my problem whats it mean? At the point when I want to stop the thread I do that: counter.interrupt() In my thread I periodically do this check: Thread.interrupted().   • A good way in Visual Studio to have user entered time frame?

    Hi, Does anyone know of a good way to have a user enter an amount of time (hours and minutes) using visual studio controls? At the moment i have two numeric up downs, one for time and one for minutes that i then parse to create a timespan. The only other idea i have is a text box that a user can enter a "00:00" time in, and validate the input. Both of these ways seem a bit bad (in UI terms) though. Any ideas? Thanks
