  Is there any function in pandas that can directly read a rotated csv file? To be specific, the header information in the first col instead of the first row. For example: A 1 2 B 3 5 C 6 7 and I would like the final DataFrame this way A B C 1 3 5 2 5 7 Of corse we can get around this problem using some data wangling techniques like transpose and slicing. I am wondering there should be a quick way in API but I could not find it.

  Did a quick search but could not find anything about this. I guess all of you know that the Visual Studio Code Analysis is quite nitpicking and gives warnings about a lot of things. Does anybody know how well Microsoft follow this themselves..? That is, if I were to run a code analysis on their assemblies, would the warnings be none or very few (perhaps surpress warning with a justification..?).

• C# DLL: Need to know when application is closing

  Is there a way to monitor when an application that is using the dll closes? The DLL and the application are both C#, neither are Windows Forms. I can check when the main application is closing, but I would like for the DLL to see "hey the program is closing and releasing me, I should do this real quick before I die". Any way to do it? Or am I stuck having the application dish out "do this before you die"?

I'm creating a folder to cache images inside Documents with my iPhone App. I want to be able to keep the size of this folder down to 1MB, so I need to to check the size in bytes of my folder.   I'm trying to write a quick app to modify some registry keys. When I'm browsing via RegEdit, I can modify and delete the keys with no problems. But when I try to use RegistryKey.DeleteSubKey() it throws an UnauthorizedAccessException Is there anyway to gain the privileges to do this? Also, why would there be a problem if my user account obviously has access to make the changes?

  Hi all, Quick question: How do I specify the number of characters in a split window? C-x-3 Splits my window into two windows evenly, but a subsequent split will split one of the windows in half. I'd like 3 equal sized windows. The documentation says that I should be able to specify the number of characters for the left buffer as a parameter, but I cant seem to get that to work.   I have a web application running on LAMP with a testing server and a production server. Is there a standard practice for keeping the data on the testing server in sync with the production server? The data on the testing server gets out of date pretty quick and I feel like there must be an easier way than just dumping the production server and copying it onto the testing server every so often. It's not important that the data is in total sync, just that the testing server represents the production enviornment as accurately as possible.

  I am using a database to persist the state of a search form. I am using the onPause method to persist the data and the onResume method to restore it. My opinion is that restoring and persisting state should be a blocking operation so I plan to perform the database operations on the UI thread. I know this is generally discouraged but the operations should be quick and I think if they were done asynchronously they could lead to inconsistent UI behaviour. Any advice

  Open a file in the Visual Studio binary editor that contains a null byte (0x00), then use the Quick Find feature (Ctrl +F) to find null bytes. I would have thought I could use a regular expression such as \x00 to match null bytes but it doesn't work. Searching for any other hex value using this method works fine. Is this a VS bug, 'feature', or am I just missing something? Is there a work around?

  Hey everybody, Im trying to write a quick console app that outputs data to an HTML file, however im having trouble accessing the System.Web.UI namespace. Adding System.Web to my references places a warning icon on top of the reference name in the solution explorer and System.Web is not available in the .NET reference list (in order for me to actually add it to the project I have to go to the object browser and add it from there).   If I do --strip-debug or --strip-unneeded, I have the .ko that lists all function names with nm, if I do just strip foo.ko I have a kernel module that refuses to load.
