  • Automatically create bug resolution task using the TFS 2010 API

    - by Bob Hardister
    My customer requires bug resolution to be approved and tracked.  To minimize the overhead for developers I implemented a TFS 2010 server-side plug-in to automatically create a child resolution task for the bug when the “CCB” field is set to approved. The CCB field is a custom field.  I also added the story points field to the bug WIT for sizing purposes. Redundant tasks will not be created unless the bug title is changed or the prior task is closed. The program writes an audit trail to a log file visible in the TFS Admin Console Log view. Here’s the code. BugAutoTask.cs /* SPECIFICATION * When the CCB field on the bug is set to approved, create a child task where the task: * name = Resolve bug [ID] - [Title of bug] * assigned to = same as assigned to field on the bug * same area path * same iteration path * activity = Bug Resolution * original estimate = bug points * * The source code is used to build a dll (Ows.TeamFoundation.BugAutoTaskCreation.PlugIns.dll), * which needs to be copied to * C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010\Application Tier\Web Services\bin\Plugins * on ALL TFS application-tier servers. * * Author: Bob Hardister. */ using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.IO; using System.Xml; using System.Text; using System.Diagnostics; using System.Linq; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Common; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Server; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Server; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Client; using System.Collections; namespace BugAutoTaskCreation { public class BugAutoTask : ISubscriber { public EventNotificationStatus ProcessEvent(TeamFoundationRequestContext requestContext, NotificationType notificationType, object notificationEventArgs, out int statusCode, out string statusMessage, out ExceptionPropertyCollection properties) { statusCode = 0; properties = null; statusMessage = String.Empty; // Error message for for tracing last code executed and optional fields string lastStep = "No field values found or set "; try { if ((notificationType == NotificationType.Notification) && (notificationEventArgs.GetType() == typeof(WorkItemChangedEvent))) { WorkItemChangedEvent workItemChange = (WorkItemChangedEvent)notificationEventArgs; // see ConnectToTFS() method below to select which TFS instance/collection // to connect to TfsTeamProjectCollection tfs = ConnectToTFS(); WorkItemStore wiStore = tfs.GetService<WorkItemStore>(); lastStep = lastStep + ": connection to TFS successful "; // Get the work item that was just changed by the user. • Hibernate : load and

    - by Albert Kam
    According to the tutorial : http://jpa.ezhibernate.com/Javacode/learn.jsp?tutorial=27hibernateloadvshibernateget, If you initialize a JavaBean instance with a load method call, you can only access the properties of that JavaBean, for the first time, within the transactional context in which it was initialized. If you try to access the various properties of the JavaBean after the transaction that loaded it has been committed, you'll get an exception, a LazyInitializationException, as Hibernate no longer has a valid transactional context to use to hit the database. But with my experiment, using hibernate 3.6, and postgres 9, it doesnt throw any exception at all. Am i missing something ? Here's my code : import org.hibernate.Session; public class AppLoadingEntities { /** * @param args */ public static void main(String[] args) { HibernateUtil.beginTransaction(); Session session = HibernateUtil.getSession(); EntityUser userFromGet = get(session); EntityUser userFromLoad = load(session); // finish the transaction session.getTransaction().commit(); // try fetching field value from entity bean that is fetched via get outside transaction, and it'll be okay System.out.println("userFromGet.getId() : " + userFromGet.getId()); System.out.println("userFromGet.getName() : " + userFromGet.getName()); // fetching field from entity bean that is fetched via load outside transaction, and it'll be errornous // NOTE : but after testing, load seems to be okay, what gives ? ask forums try { System.out.println("userFromLoad.getId() : " + userFromLoad.getId()); System.out.println("userFromLoad.getName() : " + userFromLoad.getName()); } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("error while fetching entity that is fetched from load : " + e.getMessage()); } } private static EntityUser load(Session session) { EntityUser user = (EntityUser) session.load(EntityUser.class, 1l); System.out.println("user fetched with 'load' inside transaction : " + user); return user; } private static EntityUser get(Session session) { // safe to set it to 1, coz the table got recreated at every run of this app EntityUser user = (EntityUser) session.get(EntityUser.class, 1l); System.out.println("user fetched with 'get' : " + user); return user; } } And here's the output : 88 [main] INFO org.hibernate.annotations.common.Version - Hibernate Commons Annotations 3.2.0.Final 93 [main] INFO org.hibernate.cfg.Environment - Hibernate 3.6.0.Final 94 [main] INFO org.hibernate.cfg.Environment - hibernate.properties not found 96 [main] INFO org.hibernate.cfg.Environment - Bytecode provider name : javassist 98 [main] INFO org.hibernate.cfg.Environment - using JDK 1.4 java.sql.Timestamp handling 139 [main] INFO org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration - configuring from resource: /hibernate.cfg.xml 139 [main] INFO org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration - Configuration resource: /hibernate.cfg.xml 172 [main] WARN org.hibernate.util.DTDEntityResolver - recognized obsolete hibernate namespace http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/. • Crash when trying to get NSManagedObject from NSFetchedResultsController after 25 objects?

    - by Jeremy
    Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to Core Data on iOS, but I think I've been getting better with it. I've been experiencing a bizarre crash, however, in one of my applications and have not been able to figure it out. I have approximately 40 objects in Core Data, presented in a UITableView. When tapping on a cell, a UIActionSheet appears, presenting the user with a UIActionSheet with options related to the cell that was selected. So that I can reference the selected object, I declare an NSIndexPath in my header called "lastSelection" and do the following when the UIActionSheet is presented: // Each cell has a tag based on its row number (i.e. first row has tag 0) lastSelection = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:[sender tag] inSection:0]; NSManagedObject *managedObject = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:lastSelection]; BOOL onDuty = [[managedObject valueForKey:@"onDuty"] boolValue]; UIActionSheet *actionSheet = [[UIActionSheet alloc] initWithTitle:@"Status" delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:nil destructiveButtonTitle:nil otherButtonTitles:nil]; if(onDuty) { [actionSheet addButtonWithTitle:@"Off Duty"]; } else { [actionSheet addButtonWithTitle:@"On Duty"]; } actionSheet.actionSheetStyle = UIActionSheetStyleBlackOpaque; // Override the typical UIActionSheet behavior by presenting it overlapping the sender's frame. This makes it more clear which cell is selected. CGRect senderFrame = [sender frame]; CGPoint point = CGPointMake(senderFrame.origin.x + (senderFrame.size.width / 2), senderFrame.origin.y + (senderFrame.size.height / 2)); CGRect popoverRect = CGRectMake(point.x, point.y, 1, 1); [actionSheet showFromRect:popoverRect inView:[sender superview] animated:NO]; [actionSheet release]; When the UIActionSheet is dismissed with a button, the following code is called: - (void)actionSheet:(UIActionSheet *)actionSheet willDismissWithButtonIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex { // Set status based on UIActionSheet button pressed if(buttonIndex == -1) { return; } NSManagedObject *managedObject = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:lastSelection]; if([actionSheet.title isEqualToString:@"Status"]) { if([[actionSheet buttonTitleAtIndex:buttonIndex] isEqualToString:@"On Duty"]) { [managedObject setValue:[NSNumber numberWithBool:YES] forKey:@"onDuty"]; [managedObject setValue:@"onDuty" forKey:@"status"]; } else { [managedObject setValue:[NSNumber numberWithBool:NO] forKey:@"onDuty"]; [managedObject setValue:@"offDuty" forKey:@"status"]; } } NSError *error; [self.managedObjectContext save:&error]; [tableView reloadData]; } This might not be the most efficient code (sorry, I'm new!), but it does work. That is, for the first 25 items in the list. Selecting the 26th item or beyond, the UIActionSheet will appear, but if it is dismissed with a button, I get a variety of errors, including any one of the following: [__NSCFArray section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c6bf90 Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS” [_NSObjectID_48_0 section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c54710 [__NSArrayM section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c619a0 [NSComparisonPredicate section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x6088790 [NSKeyPathExpression section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c18950 If I comment out NSManagedObject *managedObject = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:lastSelection]; it doesn't crash anymore, so I believe it has something do do with that. Can anyone offer any insight? Please let me know if I need to include any other information. Thanks! EDIT: Interestingly, my fetchedResultsController code returns a different object every time. Is this expected, or could this be a cause of my issue? The code looks like this: - (NSFetchedResultsController *)fetchedResultsController { /* Set up the fetched results controller. */ // Create the fetch request for the entity. NSFetchRequest *fetchRequest = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; // Edit the entity name as appropriate. NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Employee" inManagedObjectContext:self.managedObjectContext]; [fetchRequest setEntity:entity]; // Set the batch size to a suitable number. [fetchRequest setFetchBatchSize:80]; // Edit the sort key as appropriate. NSString *sortKey; BOOL ascending; if(sortControl.selectedSegmentIndex == 0) { sortKey = @"startTime"; ascending = YES; } else if(sortControl.selectedSegmentIndex == 1) { sortKey = @"name"; ascending = YES; } else { sortKey = @"onDuty"; ascending = NO; } NSSortDescriptor *sortDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:sortKey ascending:ascending]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:sortDescriptor, nil]; [fetchRequest setSortDescriptors:sortDescriptors]; // Edit the section name key path and cache name if appropriate. NSFetchedResultsController *aFetchedResultsController = [[NSFetchedResultsController alloc] initWithFetchRequest:fetchRequest managedObjectContext:self.managedObjectContext sectionNameKeyPath:nil cacheName:@"Root"]; aFetchedResultsController.delegate = self; self.fetchedResultsController = aFetchedResultsController; [aFetchedResultsController release]; [fetchRequest release]; [sortDescriptor release]; [sortDescriptors release]; NSError *error = nil; if (![fetchedResultsController_ performFetch:&error]) { /* Replace this implementation with code to handle the error appropriately. abort() causes the application to generate a crash log and terminate. You should not use this function in a shipping application, although it may be useful during development. If it is not possible to recover from the error, display an alert panel that instructs the user to quit the application by pressing the Home button. */ //NSLog(@"Unresolved error %@, %@", error, [error userInfo]); abort(); } return fetchedResultsController_; } This happens when I set a breakpoint: (gdb) po [self fetchedResultsController] <NSFetchedResultsController: 0x61567c0> (gdb) po [self fetchedResultsController] <NSFetchedResultsController: 0x4c83630>

  • Mixing inheritance mapping strategies in NHibernate

    - by MylesRip
    I have a rather large inheritance hierarchy in which some of the subclasses add very little and others add quite a bit. I don't want to map the entire hierarchy using either "table per class hierarchy" or "table per subclass" due to the size and complexity of the hierarchy. Ideally I'd like to mix mapping strategies such that portions of the hierarchy where the subclasses add very little are combined into a common table a la "table per class hierarchy" and subclasses that add a lot are broken out into a separate table. Using this approach, I would expect to have 2 or 3 tables with very little wasted space instead of either 1 table with lots of fields that don't apply to most of the objects, or 20+ tables, several of which would have only a couple of columns. In the NHibernate Reference Documentation version 2.1.0, I found section 8.1.4 "Mixing table per class hierarchy with table per subclass". This approach switches strategies partway down the hierarchy by using: ... <subclass ...> <join ...> <property ...> ... </join> </subclass> ... This is great in theory. In practice, though, I found that the schema was too restrictive in what was allowed inside the "join" element for me to be able to accomplish what I needed. Here is the related part of the schema definition: <xs:element name="join"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element ref="subselect" minOccurs="0" /> <xs:element ref="comment" minOccurs="0" /> <xs:element ref="key" /> <xs:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"> <xs:element ref="property" /> <xs:element ref="many-to-one" /> <xs:element ref="component" /> <xs:element ref="dynamic-component" /> <xs:element ref="any" /> <xs:element ref="map" /> <xs:element ref="set" /> <xs:element ref="list" /> <xs:element ref="bag" /> <xs:element ref="idbag" /> <xs:element ref="array" /> <xs:element ref="primitive-array" /> </xs:choice> <xs:element ref="sql-insert" minOccurs="0" /> <xs:element ref="sql-update" minOccurs="0" /> <xs:element ref="sql-delete" minOccurs="0" /> </xs:sequence> <xs:attribute name="table" use="required" type="xs:string" /> <xs:attribute name="schema" type="xs:string" /> <xs:attribute name="catalog" type="xs:string" /> <xs:attribute name="subselect" type="xs:string" /> <xs:attribute name="fetch" default="join"> <xs:simpleType> <xs:restriction base="xs:string"> <xs:enumeration value="join" /> <xs:enumeration value="select" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> </xs:attribute> <xs:attribute name="inverse" default="false" type="xs:boolean"> </xs:attribute> <xs:attribute name="optional" default="false" type="xs:boolean"> </xs:attribute> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> As you can see, this allows the use of "property" child elements or "component" child elements, but not both. It also doesn't allow for "subclass" child elements to continue the hierarchy below the point at which the strategy was changed. Is there a way to accomplish this?

  • solved: puppet master REST API returns 403 when running under passenger works when master runs from command line

  • I never really understood: what is CGI?

    - by claws
    CGI is a Comman Gateway Interface. As the name says, it is a "common" gateway interface for everything. It is so trivial and naive from the name. I feel that I understood this and I felt this every time I encountered this word. But frankly, I didn't. I'm still confused. I am a PHP programmer. I did lot of web development. user (client) request for page --- webserver(-embedded PHP interpreter) ---- Server side(PHP) Script --- MySQL Server. Now say my PHP Script can fetch results from MySQL Server && MATLAB Server && Some other server. So, now PHP Script is the CGI? because its interface for the between webserver & All other servers? I don't know. Sometimes they call CGI, a technology & othertimes they call CGI a program or someother server. What exactly is CGI? Whats the big deal with /cgi-bin/*.cgi? Whats up with this? I don't know what is this cgi-bin directory on the server for. I don't know why they have *.cgi extensions. Why does Perl always comes in the way. CGI & Perl (language). I also don't know whats up with these two. Almost all the time I keep hearing these two in combination "CGI & Perl". This book is another great example CGI Programming with Perl Why not "CGI Programming with PHP/JSP/ASP". I never saw such things. CGI Programming in C this confuses me a lot. in C?? Seriously?? I don't know what to say. I"m just confused. "in C"?? This changes everything. Program needs to be compiled and executed. This entirely changes my view of web programming. When do I compile? How does the program gets executed (because it will be a machine code, so it must execute as a independent process). How does it communicate with the web server? IPC? and interfacing with all the servers (in my example MATLAB & MySQL) using socket programming? I'm lost!! They say that CGI is depreciated. Its no more in use. Is it so? What is its latest update? Once, I ran into a situation where I had to give HTTP PUT request access to web server (Apache HTTPD). Its a long back. So, as far as I remember this is what I did: Edited the configuration file of Apache HTTPD to tell webserver to pass all HTTP PUT requests to some put.php ( I had to write this PHP script) Implement put.php to handle the request (save the file to the location mentioned) People said that I wrote a CGI Script. Seriously, I didn't have clue what they were talking about. Did I really write CGI Script? I hope you understood what my confusion is. (Because I myself don't know where I'm confused). I request you guys to keep your answer as simple as possible. I really can't understand any fancy technical terminology. At least not in this case. EDIT: I found this amazing tutorial "CGI Programming Is Simple!" - CGI Tutorial Which explains the concepts in simplest possible way. I've only have one complaint about this tutorial. Just to make what ever he explained complete he should have shown the C code he used for generating response for those GET / POST requests. I've also added link to this tutorial to Wikipedia's article : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Gateway_Interface

  • Hibernate Query Language Problem

    - by Sarang
    Well, I have implemented a distinct query in hibernate. It returns me result. But, while casting the fields are getting interchanged. So, it generates casting error. What should be the solution? As an example, I do have database, "ProjectAssignment" that has three fields, aid, pid & userName. I want all distinct userName data from this table. I have applied query : select distinct userName, aid, pid from ProjectAssignment Whereas the ProjectAssignment.java file has the fields in sequence aid, pid & userName. Now, here the userName is first field in output. So, Casting is not getting possible. Also, query : select aid, pid, distinct userName from ProjectAssignment is not working. What is the proper query for the same ? Or what else the solution ? The code is as below : System Utilization Service Bean Method where I have to retrieve data : public List<ProjectAssignment> getProjectAssignments() { projectAssignments = ProjectAssignmentHelper.getAllResources(); //Here comes the error return projectAssignments; } ProjectAssignmentHelper from where I fetch Data : package com.hibernate; import java.util.List; import org.hibernate.Query; import org.hibernate.Session; public class ProjectAssignmentHelper { public static List<ProjectAssignment> getAllResources() { List<ProjectAssignment> projectMasters; Session session = HibernateUtil.getSessionFactory().openSession(); Query query = session.createQuery("select distinct aid, pid, userName from ProjectAssignment"); projectMasters = (List<ProjectAssignment>) query.list(); session.close(); return projectMasters; } } Hibernate Data Bean : package com.hibernate; public class ProjectAssignment implements java.io.Serializable { private short aid; private String pid; private String userName; public ProjectAssignment() { } public ProjectAssignment(short aid) { this.aid = aid; } public ProjectAssignment(short aid, String pid, String userName) { this.aid • NSOutlineView not refreshing when objects added to managed object context from NSOperations

    - by John Gallagher
    Background Cocoa app using core data Two processes - daemon and a main UI Daemon constantly writing to a data store UI process reads from same data store NSOutlineView in UI is bound to an NSTreeController which is bound to Application with key path of delegate.interpretedMOC What I want When the UI is activated, the outline view should update with the latest data inserted by the daemon. The Problem Main Thread Approach I fetch all the entities I'm interested in, then iterate over them, doing refreshObject:mergeChanges:YES. This works OK - the items get refreshed correctly. However, this is all running on the main thread, so the UI locks up for 10-20 seconds whilst it refreshes. Fine, so let's move these refreshes to NSOperations that run in the background instead. NSOperation Multithreaded Approach As soon as I move the refreshObject:mergeChanges: call into an NSOperation, the refresh no longer works. When I add logging messages, it's clear that the new objects are loaded in by the NSOperation subclass and refreshed. Not only that, but they are What I've tried I've messed around with this for 2 days solid and tried everything I can think of. Passing objectIDs to the NSOperation to refresh instead of an entity name. Resetting the interpretedMOC at various points - after the data refresh and before the outline view reload. I'd subclassed NSOutlineView. I discarded my subclass and set the view back to being an instance of NSOutlineView, just in case there was any funny goings on here. Added a rearrangeObjects call to the NSTreeController before reloading the NSOutlineView data. Made sure I had set the staleness interval to 0 on all managed object contexts I was using. I've got a feeling this problem is somehow related to caching core data objects in memory. But I've totally exhausted all my ideas on how I get this to work. I'd be eternally grateful of any ideas anyone else has. Code Main Thread Approach // In App Delegate -(void)applicationDidBecomeActive:(NSNotification *)notification { // Delay to allow time for the daemon to save [self performSelector:@selector(refreshTrainingEntriesAndGroups) withObject:nil afterDelay:3]; } -(void)refreshTrainingEntriesAndGroups { NSSet *allTrainingGroups = [[[NSApp delegate] interpretedMOC] fetchAllObjectsForEntityName:kTrainingGroup]; for(JGTrainingGroup *thisTrainingGroup in allTrainingGroups) [interpretedMOC refreshObject:thisTrainingGroup mergeChanges:YES]; NSError *saveError = nil; [interpretedMOC save:&saveError]; [windowController performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(refreshTrainingView) withObject:nil waitUntilDone:YES]; } // In window controller class -(void)refreshTrainingView { [trainingViewTreeController rearrangeObjects]; // Didn't really expect this to have any effect. • Problem with entityForName & ManagedObjectContext when extending tutorial material

    - by Martin KS
    Afternoon all, I tried to add a second data entity to the persistent store in the (locations) coredata tutorial code, and then access this in a new view. I think that I've followed the tutorial, and checked that I'm doing a clean build etc, but can't see what to change to prevent it crashing. I'm afraid I'm at my wits end with this one, and can't seem to find the step that I've missed. I've pasted the header and code files below, please let me know if I need to share any more of the code. The crash seems to happen on the line: NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Album" inManagedObjectContext:[self managedObjectContext]]; There is one other line in the code that refers to galleryviewcontroller at the moment, and that's in the main application delegate: galleryViewController.managedObjectContext = [self managedObjectContext]; GalleryViewController.h #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @interface GalleryViewController : UIViewController { NSManagedObjectContext *managedObjectContext; int rowNumber; IBOutlet UILabel *lblMessage; UIBarButtonItem *addButton; NSMutableArray *imagesArray; } @property (readwrite) int rowNumber; @property (nonatomic,retain) UILabel *lblMessage; @property (nonatomic,retain) NSMutableArray *imagesArray; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSManagedObjectContext *managedObjectContext; @property (nonatomic, retain) UIBarButtonItem *addButton; -(void)updateRowNumber:(int)theIndex; -(void)addImage; @end GalleryViewController.m #import "RootViewController.h" #import "LocationsAppDelegate.h" #import "Album.h" #import "GalleryViewController.h" #import "Image.h" @implementation GalleryViewController @synthesize lblMessage,rowNumber,addButton,managedObjectContext; @synthesize imagesArray; /* // The designated initializer. • SQL query performance optimization (TimesTen)

    - by Sergey Mikhanov
    Hi community, I need some help with TimesTen DB query optimization. I made some measures with Java profiler and found the code section that takes most of the time (this code section executes the SQL query). What is strange that this query becomes expensive only for some specific input data. Here’s the example. We have two tables that we are querying, one represents the objects we want to fetch (T_PROFILEGROUP), another represents the many-to-many link from some other table (T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS). We are not querying linked table. These are the queries that I executed with DB profiler running (they are the same except for the ID): Command> select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; < 1169655247309537280 > < 1169655249792565248 > < 1464837997699399681 > 3 rows found. Command> select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; < 1169655247309537280 > 1 row found. This is what I have in the profiler: 12:14:31.147 1 SQL 2L 6C 10825P Preparing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272 12:14:31.147 2 SQL 4L 6C 10825P sbSqlCmdCompile ()(E): (Found already compiled version: refCount:01, bucket:47) cmdType:100, cmdNum:1146695. 12:14:31.147 3 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Opening: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.147 4 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.148 5 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.148 6 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.228 7 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.228 8 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Closing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:35.243 9 SQL 2L 6C 10825P Preparing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928 12:14:35.243 10 SQL 4L 6C 10825P sbSqlCmdCompile ()(E): (Found already compiled version: refCount:01, bucket:44) cmdType:100, cmdNum:1146697. 12:14:35.243 11 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Opening: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; 12:14:35.243 12 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; 12:14:35.243 13 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; 12:14:35.243 14 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Closing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; It’s clear that the first query took almost 100ms, while the second was executed instantly. It’s not about queries precompilation (the first one is precompiled too, as same queries happened earlier). We have DB indices for all columns used here: T_PROFILEGROUP.M_ID, T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS.M_ID_OID and T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS.M_ID_EID. My questions are: Why querying the same set of tables yields such a different performance for different parameters? Which indices are involved here? Is there any way to improve this simple query and/or the DB to make it faster? UPDATE: to give the feeling of size: Command> select count(*) from T_PROFILEGROUP; < 183840 > 1 row found. Command> select count(*) from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS; < 2279104 > 1 row found.

  • Flex ItemRenderer/Editor ComboBox Issue...Puhleezz Help

    - by Mohit
    Hi EveryOne Beginner in Flex ...Even worse with item renderers... Have managed to add a Combobox to a datagrid using a itemEditor... I want to change the options in a combo box depending on the value selected by the user on a previous combo.. In the combo box i want to display a certain value (Model Name ) but for quering a table i'll pass the corresponding code of the model :(... sounds simple enough ..unfortunately not able to implement it I have found this problem on this site but the solution seems an overkill for my "small" problem..was hoping if anyone could guide me towards a more simpler solution... My xml comes as <item><mstValue>CH1</mstValue><mstRemarks>CARRIER</mstRemarks></item> <item><mstValue>CH2</mstValue><mstRemarks>TRANS</mstRemarks></item> <item><mstValue>CH3</mstValue><mstRemarks>YORK</mstRemarks></item> Now i have been able to show the values in a combo .if user selects CARRIER i want to pass CH1(dont know how to do it with itemeditors)...and then fetch values corresponding to CH1 from a table (second part of the problem)...in the sample below i used this.parentDocument.modelComboChanged(this.selectedItem) to pass the selected value ...instedd i need to pass the code for it which comes from the xml...Pls help this making me go crazy.... <mx:DataGrid id="chillerGrid" dataProvider="{chillerGridDp}" editable="true" itemRollOver="{ComponentUtil.setTooltip(event,this)}" itemRollOut="ComponentUtil.resetTooltip(event)" width="70%" height="160"> <mx:columns> <mx:DataGridColumn id="test" headerText="Model" dataField="model" editorDataField="value" editable="true" backgroundColor="#f4f2bd" width="100" > <mx:itemEditor> <mx:Component> <mx:ComboBox creationComplete="{if(text=='')selectedIndex=0;if(data &amp;&amp; data.contactType!=undefined)text=data.contactType.text();}" change="{if(text == ''){selectedIndex=0;if(data &amp;&amp; data.contactType!=undefined)text=data.contactType.text();};this.parentDocument.modelComboChanged(this.selectedItem)}" dataProvider="{this.parentDocument.arrColl1}" text="mstRemarks" labelField="mstRemarks" editable = "false" > <!--<mx:dataProvider > <mx:String></mx:String> <mx:String>Model1</mx:String> <mx:String>Model2</mx:String> <mx:String>Model3</mx:String> <mx:String>Model4</mx:String> <mx:String>Model5</mx:String> </mx:dataProvider>--> </mx:ComboBox> <!--<components:ComboBoxIn dataProvider="{this.parentDocument.arrColl1}" labelField="mstRemarks" /> --> </mx:Component> </mx:itemEditor> </mx:DataGridColumn> <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Make" dataField="make" editorDataField="value" editable="true" backgroundColor="#f4f2bd" width="100" > <mx:itemEditor> <mx:Component> <mx:ComboBox creationComplete="{if(text=='')selectedIndex=0;if(data &amp;&amp; data.contactType!=undefined)text=data.contactType.text();}" change="{if(text == ''){selectedIndex=0;if(data &amp;&amp; data.contactType!=undefined)text=data.contactType.text();} }" labelField="@label" editable = "false" > <mx:dataProvider> <mx:String></mx:String> <mx:String>Carrier</mx:String> <mx:String>York</mx:String> <mx:String>Trane</mx:String> </mx:dataProvider> </mx:ComboBox> </mx:Component> </mx:itemEditor> </mx:DataGridColumn> <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Chillers" dataField="chillers" width="200" editable="true"> <mx:itemEditor> <mx:Component> <mx:TextInput maxChars="49" /> </mx:Component> </mx:itemEditor> </mx:DataGridColumn> </mx:columns> </mx:DataGrid>

  • Google Web Toolkit Deferred Binding Issue

    - by snctln
    I developed a web app using GWT about 2 years ago, since then the application has evolved. In its current state it relies on fetching a single XML file and parsing the information from it. Overall this works great. A requirement of this app is that it needs to be able to be ran from the filesystem (file:///..) as well as the traditional model of running from a webserver (http://...) Fetching this file from a webserver works exactly as expected using a RequestBuilder object. When running the app from the filesystem Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Chrome all behave as expected. When running the app from the filesystem using IE7 or IE8 the RequestBuilder.send() call fails, the information about the error suggests that there is a problem accessing the file due to violating the same origin policy. The app worked as expected in IE6 but not in IE7 or IE8. So I looked at the source code of RequestBuilder.java and saw that the actual request was being executed with an XMLHttpRequest GWT object. So I looked at the source code for XMLHttpRequest.java and found out some information. Here is the code (starts at line 83 in XMLHttpRequest.java) public static native XMLHttpRequest create() /*-{ if ($wnd.XMLHttpRequest) { return new XMLHttpRequest(); } else { try { return new ActiveXObject('MSXML2.XMLHTTP.3.0'); } catch (e) { return new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } } }-*/; So basically if an XMLHttpRequest cannot be created (like in IE6 because it is not available) an ActiveXObject is used instead. I read up a little bit more on the IE implementation of XMLHttpRequest, and it appears that it is only supported for interacting with files on a webserver. I found a setting in IE8 (Tools-Internet Options-Advanced-Security-Enable native XMLHTTP support), when I uncheck this box my app works. I assume this is because I am more of less telling IE to not use their implementation of XmlHttpRequest, so GWT just uses an ActiveXObject because it doesn't think the native XmlHttpRequest is available. This fixes the problem, but is hardly a long term solution. I can currently catch a failed send request and verify that it was trying to fetch the XML file from the filesystem using normal GWT. What I would like to do in this case is catch the IE7 and IE8 case and have them use a ActiveXObject instead of a native XmlHttpRequest object. There was a posting on the GWT google group that had a supposed solution for this problem (link). Looking at it I can tell that it was created for an older version of GWT. I am using the latest release and think that this is more or less what I would like to do (use GWT deferred binding to detect a specific browser type and run my own implementation of XMLHttpRequest.java in place of the built in GWT implementation). Here is the code that I am trying to use package com.mycompany.myapp.client; import com.google.gwt.xhr.client.XMLHttpRequest; public class XMLHttpRequestIE7or8 extends XMLHttpRequest { // commented out the "override" so that eclipse and the ant build script don't throw errors //@Override public static native XMLHttpRequest create() /*-{ try { return new ActiveXObject('MSXML2.XMLHTTP.3.0'); } catch (e) { return new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } }-*/; // have an empty protected constructor so the ant build script doesn't throw errors // the actual XMLHttpRequest constructor is empty as well so this shouldn't cause any problems protected XMLHttpRequestIE7or8() { } }; And here are the lines that I added to my module xml <replace-with class="com.mycompany.myapp.client.XMLHttpRequestIE7or8"> <when-type-is class="com.google.gwt.xhr.client.XMLHttpRequest"/> <any> <when-property-is name="user.agent" value="ie7" /> <when-property-is name="user.agent" value="ie8" /> </any> </replace-with> From what I can tell this should work, but my code never runs. Does anyone have any idea of what I am doing wrong? Should I not do this via deferred binding and just use native javascript when I catch the fail case instead? Is there a different way of approaching this problem that I have not mentioned? All replies are welcome.

  • Monotouch UITableView image "flashing" while background requests are fetched

    - by Themos Piperakis
    I am in need of some help from you guys. I have a Monotouch UITableView which contains some web images. I have implemented a Task to fetch them asynchronously so the UI is responsive, an even added some animations to fade them in when they are fetched from the web. My problems start when the user scrolls down very fast down the UITableView, so since the cells are resusable, several background tasks are queued for images. When he is at the bottom of the list, he might see the thumbnail displaying an image for another cell, then another, then another, then another, as the tasks are completed and each image replaces the other one. I am in need of some sort of checking whether the currently displayed cell corresponds to the correct image url, but not sure how to do that. Here is the code for my TableSource class. using System; using MonoTouch.UIKit; using MonoTouch.Foundation; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Threading; using System.Threading.Tasks; using System.Diagnostics; { public class ListDelegate:UITableViewDelegate { private UINavigationController nav; public override float GetHeightForRow (UITableView tableView, NSIndexPath indexPath) { return 128; } public override void RowSelected (UITableView tableView, NSIndexPath indexPath) { DealViewController c = new DealViewController(((ListDataSource)tableView.DataSource).deals[indexPath.Row].Id,nav); nav.PushViewController(c,true); tableView.DeselectRow(indexPath,true); } public ListDelegate(UINavigationController nav) { this.nav = nav; } } public class ListDataSource:UITableViewDataSource { bool toggle=true; Dictionary<string,UIImage> images = new Dictionary<string, UIImage>(); public List<MyDeal> deals = new List<MyDeal>(); Dictionary<int,ListCellViewController> controllers = new Dictionary<int, ListCellViewController>(); public ListDataSource(List<MyDeal> deals) { this.deals = deals; } public override int RowsInSection (UITableView tableview, int section) { return deals.Count; } public override UITableViewCell GetCell (UITableView tableView, MonoTouch.Foundation.NSIndexPath indexPath) { UITableViewCell cell = tableView.DequeueReusableCell("cell"); ListCellViewController cellController = null; if (cell == null || !controllers.ContainsKey(cell.Tag)) { cellController = new ListCellViewController(); NSBundle.MainBundle.LoadNib("ListCellViewController", cellController, null); cell = cellController.Cell; cell.Tag = Environment.TickCount; controllers.Add(cell.Tag, cellController); } else { cellController = controllers[cell.Tag]; } if (toggle) { cell.BackgroundView = new UIImageView(UIImage.FromFile("images/bg1.jpg")); } else { cell.BackgroundView = new UIImageView(UIImage.FromFile("images/bg2.jpg")); } toggle = !toggle; MyDeal d = deals[indexPath.Row]; cellController.SetValues(d.Title,d.Price,d.Value,d.DiscountPercent); GetImage(cellController.Thumbnail,d.Thumbnail); return cell; } private void GetImage(UIImageView img, string url) { img.Alpha = 0; if (url != string.Empty) { if (images.ContainsKey(url)) { img.Image = images[url]; img.Alpha = 1; } else { var context = TaskScheduler.FromCurrentSynchronizationContext (); Task.Factory.StartNew (() => { NSData imageData = NSData.FromUrl(new NSUrl(url)); var uimg = UIImage.LoadFromData(imageData); images.Add(url,uimg); return uimg; }).ContinueWith (t => { InvokeOnMainThread(()=>{ img.Image = t.Result; RefreshImage(img); }); }, context); } } } private void RefreshImage(UIImageView img) { UIView.BeginAnimations("imageThumbnailTransitionIn"); UIView.SetAnimationDuration(0.5f); img.Alpha = 1.0f; UIView.CommitAnimations(); } } } Here is the ListCellViewController, that contains a custom cell using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using MonoTouch.Foundation; using MonoTouch.UIKit; { public partial class ListCellViewController : UIViewController { #region Constructors // The IntPtr and initWithCoder constructors are required for items that need // to be able to be created from a xib rather than from managed code public ListCellViewController (IntPtr handle) : base(handle) { Initialize (); } [Export("initWithCoder:")] public ListCellViewController (NSCoder coder) : base(coder) { Initialize (); } public ListCellViewController () : base("ListCellViewController", null) { Initialize (); } void Initialize () { } public UIImageView Thumbnail { get{return thumbnailView;} } public UITableViewCell Cell { get {return cell;} } public void SetValues(string title,decimal price,decimal valuex,decimal discount,int purchases) { } #endregion } } All help is greatly appreciated

  • How to filter Backbone.js Collection and Rerender App View?

    - by Jeremy H.
    Is is a total Backbone.js noob question. I am working off of the ToDo Backbone.js example trying to build out a fairly simple single app interface. While the todo project is more about user input, this app is more about filtering the data based on the user options (click events). I am completely new to Backbone.js and Mongoose and have been unable to find a good example of what I am trying to do. I have been able to get my api to pull the data from the MongoDB collection and drop it into the Backbone.js collection which renders it in the app. What I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do is filter that data and re-render the app view. I am trying to filter by the "type" field in the document. Here is my script: (I am totally aware of some major refactoring needed, I am just rapid prototyping a concept.) $(function() { window.Job = Backbone.Model.extend({ idAttribute: "_id", defaults: function() { return { attachments: false } } }); window.JobsList = Backbone.Collection.extend({ model: Job, url: '/api/jobs', leads: function() { return this.filter(function(job){ return job.get('type') == "Lead"; }); } }); window.Jobs = new JobsList; window.JobView = Backbone.View.extend({ tagName: "div", className: "item", template: _.template($('#item-template').html()), initialize: function() { this.model.bind('change', this.render, this); this.model.bind('destroy', this.remove, this); }, render: function() { $(this.el).html(this.template(this.model.toJSON())); this.setText(); return this; }, setText: function() { var month=new Array(); month[0]="Jan"; month[1]="Feb"; month[2]="Mar"; month[3]="Apr"; month[4]="May"; month[5]="Jun"; month[6]="Jul"; month[7]="Aug"; month[8]="Sep"; month[9]="Oct"; month[10]="Nov"; month[11]="Dec"; var title = this.model.get('title'); var description = this.model.get('description'); var datemonth = this.model.get('datem'); var dateday = this.model.get('dated'); var jobtype = this.model.get('type'); var jobstatus = this.model.get('status'); var amount = this.model.get('amount'); var paymentstatus = this.model.get('paymentstatus') var type = this.$('.status .jobtype'); var status = this.$('.status .jobstatus'); this.$('.title a').text(title); this.$('.description').text(description); this.$('.date .month').text(month[datemonth]); this.$('.date .day').text(dateday); type.text(jobtype); status.text(jobstatus); if(amount > 0) this.$('.paymentamount').text(amount) if(paymentstatus) this.$('.paymentstatus').text(paymentstatus) if(jobstatus === 'New') { status.addClass('new'); } else if (jobstatus === 'Past Due') { status.addClass('pastdue') }; if(jobtype === 'Lead') { type.addClass('lead'); } else if (jobtype === '') { type.addClass(''); }; }, remove: function() { $(this.el).remove(); }, clear: function() { this.model.destroy(); } }); window.AppView = Backbone.View.extend({ el: $("#main"), events: { "click #leads .highlight" : "filterLeads" }, initialize: function() { Jobs.bind('add', this.addOne, this); Jobs.bind('reset', this.addAll, this); Jobs.bind('all', this.render, this); Jobs.fetch(); }, addOne: function(job) { var view = new JobView({model: job}); this.$("#activitystream").append(view.render().el); }, addAll: function() { Jobs.each(this.addOne); }, filterLeads: function() { // left here, this event fires but i need to figure out how to filter the activity list. } }); window.App = new AppView; });

  • Why wont this sort in Solr work?

    - by Camran
    I need to sort on a date-field type, which name is "mod_date". It works like this in the browser adress-bar: http://localhost:8983/solr/select/?&q=bmw&sort=mod_date+desc But I am using a phpSolr client which sends an URL to Solr, and the url sent is this: fq=+category%3A%22Bilar%22+%2B+car_action%3AS%C3%A4ljes&version=1.2&wt=json&json.nl=map&q=%2A%3A%2A&start=0&rows=5&sort=mod_date+desc // This wont work and is echoed after this in php: $queryString = http_build_query($params, null, $this->_queryStringDelimiter); $queryString = preg_replace('/%5B(?:[0-9]|[1-9][0-9]+)%5D=/', '=', $queryString); This wont work, I dont know why! Everything else works fine, all right fields are returned. But the sort doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks BTW: The field "mod_date" contains something like: 2010-03-04T19:37:22.5Z EDIT: First I use PHP to send this to a SolrPhpClient which is another php-file called service.php: require_once('../SolrPhpClient/Apache/Solr/Service.php'); $solr = new Apache_Solr_Service('localhost', 8983, '/solr/'); $results = $solr->search($querystring, $p, $limit, $solr_params); $solr_params is an array which contains the solr-parameters (q, fq, etc). Now, in service.php: $params['version'] = self::SOLR_VERSION; // common parameters in this interface $params['wt'] = self::SOLR_WRITER; $params['json.nl'] = $this->_namedListTreatment; $params['q'] = $query; $params['sort'] = 'mod_date desc'; // HERE IS THE SORT I HAVE PROBLEM WITH $params['start'] = $offset; $params['rows'] = $limit; $queryString = http_build_query($params, null, $this->_queryStringDelimiter); $queryString = preg_replace('/%5B(?:[0-9]|[1-9][0-9]+)%5D=/', '=', $queryString); if ($method == self::METHOD_GET) { return $this->_sendRawGet($this->_searchUrl . $this->_queryDelimiter . $queryString); } else if ($method == self::METHOD_POST) { return $this->_sendRawPost($this->_searchUrl, $queryString, FALSE, 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded'); } The $results contain the results from Solr... So this is the way I need to get to work (via php). This code below (also on top of this Q) works but thats because I paste it into the adress bar manually, not via the PHPclient. But thats just for debugging, I need to get it to work via the PHPclient: http://localhost:8983/solr/select/?&q=bmw&sort=mod_date+des // Not via phpclient, but works UPDATE (2010-03-08): I have tried Donovans codes (the urls) and they work fine. Now, I have noticed that it is one of the parameters causing the 'SORT' not to work. This parameter is the "wt" parameter. If we take the url from top of this Q, (fq=+category%3A%22Bilar%22+%2B+car_action%3AS%C3%A4ljes&version=1.2&wt=json&json.nl=map&q=%2A%3A%2A&start=0&rows=5&sort=mod_date+desc), and just simply remove the "wt" parameter, then the sort works. BUT the results appear differently, thus making my php code not able to recognize the results I believe. Donovan would know this I think. I am guessing in order for the PHPClient to work, the results must be in a specific structure, which gets messed up as soon as I remove the wt parameter. Donovan, help me please... Here is some background what I use your SolrPhpClient for: I have a classifieds website, which uses MySql. But for the searching I am using Solr to search some indexed fields. Then Solr returns an array of ID:numbers (for all matches of the search criteria). Then I use those ID:numbers to find everything in a MySql db and fetch all other information (example is not searchable information). So simplified: Search - Solr returns all matches in an array of ID:nrs - Id:numbers from Solr are the same as the Id numbers in the MySql db, so I can just make a simple match agains every record with the ID matching the ID from the Solr results array. I don't use Faceting, no boosting, no relevancy or other fancy stuff. I only sort by the latest classified put, and give the option to users to also sort on the cheapest price. Nothing more. Then I use the "fq" parameter to do queries on different fields in Solr depending on category chosen by users (example "cars" in this case which in my language is "Bilar"). I am really stuck with this problem here... Thanks for all help

  • Hibernate without primary keys generated by db?

    - by Michael Jones
    I'm building a data warehouse and want to use InfiniDB as the storage engine. However, it doesn't allow primary keys or foreign key constraints (or any constraints for that matter). Hibernate complains "The database returned no natively generated identity value" when I perform an insert. Each table is relational, and contains a unique integer column that was previously used as the primary key - I want to keep that, but just not have the constraint in the db that the column is the primary key. I'm assuming the problem is that Hibernate expects the db to return a generated key. Is it possible to override this behaviour so I can set the primary key field's value myself and keep Hibernate happy? -- edit -- Two of the mappings are as follows: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE hibernate-mapping PUBLIC "-//Hibernate/Hibernate Mapping DTD 3.0//EN" "http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-3.0.dtd"> <!-- Generated Jun 1, 2010 2:49:51 PM by Hibernate Tools 3.2.1.GA --> <hibernate-mapping> <class name="com.example.project.Visitor" table="visitor" catalog="orwell"> <id name="id" type="java.lang.Long"> <column name="id" /> <generator class="identity" /> </id> <property name="firstSeen" type="timestamp"> <column name="first_seen" length="19" /> </property> <property name="lastSeen" type="timestamp"> <column name="last_seen" length="19" /> </property> <property name="sessionId" type="string"> <column name="session_id" length="26" unique="true" /> </property> <property name="userId" type="java.lang.Long"> <column name="user_id" /> </property> <set name="visits" inverse="true"> <key> <column name="visitor_id" /> </key> <one-to-many class="com.example.project.Visit" /> </set> </class> </hibernate-mapping> and: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE hibernate-mapping PUBLIC "-//Hibernate/Hibernate Mapping DTD 3.0//EN" "http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-3.0.dtd"> <!-- Generated Jun 1, 2010 2:49:51 PM by Hibernate Tools 3.2.1.GA --> <hibernate-mapping> <class name="com.example.project.Visit" table="visit" catalog="orwell"> <id name="id" type="java.lang.Long"> <column name="id" /> <generator class="identity" /> </id> <many-to-one name="visitor" class="com.example.project.Visitor" fetch="join" cascade="all"> <column name="visitor_id" /> </many-to-one> <property name="visitId" type="string"> <column name="visit_id" length="20" unique="true" /> </property> <property name="startTime" type="timestamp"> <column name="start_time" length="19" /> </property> <property name="endTime" type="timestamp"> <column name="end_time" length="19" /> </property> <property name="userAgent" type="string"> <column name="user_agent" length="65535" /> </property> <set name="pageViews" inverse="true"> <key> <column name="visit_id" /> </key> <one-to-many class="com.example.project.PageView" /> </set> </class> </hibernate-mapping>

  • PHP Array issue - not looping through foreach...

    Ok, Here is the code: function fetch_questions($page) { global $link; $proc = mysqli_prepare($link, "SELECT * FROM tquestions_cwh WHERE page = ?"); mysqli_stmt_bind_param($proc, "i", $page); mysqli_stmt_execute($proc); $rows = array(); stmt_bind_assoc($proc, $rowq); // loop through all result rows while ($proc->fetch()) { // print_r($rowq); $rows[]=$rowq; } mysqli_stmt_close($proc); mysqli_clean_connection($link); return($rows); } I then add this to a php variable, like so: $qs = fetch_questions($page); I then loop through is, like so: foreach($qs as $value){ echo "<tr>".$value['qnum']." is the questions number and the question text is ".$value['qtext'].". The page and q values are ".$value['page']." and ".$value['questions']." respectively.</tr>"; The output, however is this: 8 is the questions number and the question text is I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives. The page and q values are 1 and q8 respectively.8 is the questions number and the question text is I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives. The page and q values are 1 and q8 respectively.8 is the questions number and the question text is I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives. The page and q values are 1 and q8 respectively. Which is not what I want, for information purposes, the array using the print function looks like this: Array ( [0] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [1] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [2] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [3] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [4] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [5] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [6] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) [7] => Array ( [questions] => q8 [qnum] => 8 [qtext] => I know how what I do fits into my team's objectives [page] => 1 ) ) Clearly it's not looping through and displaying each row as it should...any advice?   • Backbone.js Model validation fails to prevent Model from saving

    - by Benjen
    I have defined a validate method for a Backbone.js Model. The problem is that even if validation fails (i.e. the Model.validate method returns a value) the post/put request is still sent to the server. This contradicts what is explained in the Backbone.js documentation. I cannot understand what I am doing wrong. The following is the Model definition: /** * Model - Contact */ var Contact = Backbone.Model.extend({ urlRoot: '/contacts.json', idAttribute: '_id', defaults: function() { return { surname: '', given_name: '', org: '', phone: new Array(), email: new Array(), address: new Array({ street: '', district: '', city: '', country: '', postcode: '' }) }; } validate: function(attributes) { if (typeof attributes.validationDisabled === 'undefined') { var errors = new Array(); // Validate surname. if (_.isEmpty(attributes.surname) === true) { errors.push({ type: 'form', attribute: 'surname', message: 'Please enter a surname.' }); } // Validate emails. if (_.isEmpty(attributes.email) === false) { var emailRegex = /^[a-z0-9._%+-]+@[a-z0-9.-]+\.[a-z]{2,6}$/i; // Stores indexes of email values which fail validation. var emailIndex = new Array(); _.each(attributes.email, function(email, index) { if (emailRegex.test(email.value) === false) { emailIndex.push(index); } }); // Create error message. if (emailIndex.length > 0) { errors.push({ type: 'form', attribute: 'email', index: emailIndex, message: 'Please enter valid email address.' }); } } if (errors.length > 0) { console.log('Form validation failed.'); return errors; } } } }); Here is the View which calls the Model.save() method (see: method saveContact() below). Note that other methods belonging to this View have not been included below for reasons of brevity. /** * View - Edit contact form */ var EditContactFormView = Backbone.View.extend({ initialize: function() { _.bindAll(this, 'createDialog', 'formError', 'render', 'saveContact', 'updateContact'); // Add templates. this._editFormTemplate = _.template($('#edit-contact-form-tpl').html()); this._emailFieldTemplate = _.template($('#email-field-tpl').html()); this._phoneFieldTemplate = _.template($('#phone-field-tpl').html()); // Get URI of current page. this.currentPageUri = this.options.currentPageUri; // Create array to hold references to all subviews. this.subViews = new Array(); // Set options for new or existing contact. this.model = this.options.model; // Bind with Model validation error event. this.model.on('error', this.formError); this.render(); } /** * Deals with form validation errors */ formError: function(model, error) { console.log(error); }, saveContact: function(event) { var self = this; // Prevent submit event trigger from firing. event.preventDefault(); // Trigger form submit event. eventAggregator.trigger('submit:contactEditForm'); // Update model with form values. this.updateContact(); // Enable validation for Model. Done by unsetting validationDisabled // attribute. This setting was formerly applied to prevent validation // on Model.fetch() events. See this.model.validate(). this.model.unset('validationDisabled'); // Save contact to database. this.model.save(this.model.attributes, { success: function(model, response) { if (typeof response.flash !== 'undefined') { Messenger.trigger('new:messages', response.flash); } }, error: function(model, response) { console.log(response); throw error = new Error('Error occured while trying to save contact.'); } }, { wait: true }); }, /** * Extract form values and update Contact. */ updateContact: function() { this.model.set('surname', this.$('#surname-field').val()); this.model.set('given_name', this.$('#given-name-field').val()); this.model.set('org', this.$('#org-field').val()); // Extract address form values. var address = new Array({ street: this.$('input[name="street"]').val(), district: this.$('input[name="district"]').val(), city: this.$('input[name="city"]').val(), country: this.$('input[name="country"]').val(), postcode: this.$('input[name="postcode"]').val() }); this.model.set('address', address); } });

    Latest roll up patch for 10.1.3.4.1 is now out in the wild. Yep, there are bug fixes but the guys have implemented some great enhancements. I'll be covering some of them over the coming weeks, from collapsing bookmarks in your PDFs to better MS AD support to 'true' Excel templates, yes you read that correctly! Patch is available from Oracle's support site. Just search for patch 9546699. Here's the contents and readme, apologies for the big list but at least you can search against it for a particular fix. This patch contains backports of following bugs for BI Publisher Enterprise 10.1.3.4.0 and 10.1.3.4.1. 6193342 - REG:SAMPLE DATA FILE FOR PDF FORM MAPPING IS NOT VALIDATED 6261875 - ERRONEOUS PRECISION VALIDATION ON ONLINE ANALYZER 6439437 - NULL POINTER EXCEPTION WHEN PROCESSING TABLE OF CONTENT 6460974 - BACS EFT PAYMENT INSTRUCTION OUTPUT FILE IS EMPTY 6939721 - BIP: REPORT BUSTING DELIVERY KEY VALUES CANNOT CONTAIN SEVERAL SPECIAL CHARACTER 6996069 - USING XML DB FOR BI REPOSITORY FAILS WITH RESOURCENOTFOUNDEXCEPTION 7207434 - TIMEZONE:SHOULD NOT DO TIMEZONE CONVERSION AGAINST CANONICAL DATE YYYY-MM-DD 7371531 - SUPPORT FOR CSV OUTPUT FOR STRUCTURED XML AND NON SQL DATA SOURCES 7596148 - ER: LDAP FOR MS AD TO SEARCH FROM AD ROOT 7646139 - WEBSERVICES ERROR 7829516 - BIP STANDALONE FAILS TO BURST USING XSL-FO TEMPLATES 8219848 - PDF TEMPLATE REPORT NOT PERFORMING PAGE BREAK 8232116 - PARAMETER VALUE IS PASSED AS NULL,IF IT CONTAINS 'AND' WITHIN THE STRING 8250690 - NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD TEMPLATE VIA BIP API 8288459 - ER: QUERY BUILDER OPTION TO NOT INCLUDE TABLENAME. • Passing parameters between Silverlight and ASP.NET – Part 1

    - by mohanbrij
    While working with Silverlight applications, we may face some scenarios where we may need to embed Silverlight as a component, like for e.g in Sharepoint Webpars or simple we can have the same with ASP.NET. The biggest challenge comes when we have to pass the parameters from ASP.NET to Silverlight components or back from Silverlight to ASP.NET. We have lots of ways we can do this, like using InitParams, QueryStrings, using HTML objects in Silverlight, etc. All these different techniques have some advantages or disadvantages or limitations. Lets see one by one why we should choose one and what are the ways to achieve the same. 1. InitParams: Lets start with InitParams, Start your Visual Studio 2010 IDE, and Create a Silverlight Application, give any name. Now go to the ASP.NET WebProject which is used to Host the Silverlight XAP component. You will find lots of different tags are used by Silverlight object as <params> tags. To use InitParams, Silverlight provides us with a tag called InitParams which we can use to pass parameters to Silverlight object from ASP.NET. 1: <object data="data:application/x-silverlight-2," type="application/x-silverlight-2" width="100%" height="100%"> 2: <param name="source" value="ClientBin/SilverlightApp.xap"/> 3: <param name="onError" value="onSilverlightError" /> 4: <param name="background" value="white" /> 5: <param name="minRuntimeVersion" value="4.0.50826.0" /> 6: <param name="initparams" id="initParams" runat="server" value=""/> 7: <param name="autoUpgrade" value="true" /> 8: <a href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=149156&v=4.0.50826.0" style="text-decoration:none"> 9: <img src="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161376" alt="Get Microsoft Silverlight" style="border-style:none"/> 10: </a> 11: </object> Here in the code above I have included a initParam as a param tag (line 6), now in the page load I will add a line 1: initParams.Attributes.Add("value", "key1=Brij, key2=Mohan"); This basically add a value parameter inside the initParam. So thats all we need in our ASP.NET side, now coming to the Silverlight Code open the code behind of App.xaml and add the following lines of code. 1: private string firstKey, secondKey; 2: private void Application_Startup(object sender, StartupEventArgs e) 3: { 4: if (e.InitParams.ContainsKey("key1")) 5: this.firstKey = e.InitParams["key1"]; 6: if (e.InitParams.ContainsKey("key2")) 7: this.secondKey = e.InitParams["key2"]; 8: this.RootVisual = new MainPage(firstKey, secondKey); 9: } This code fetch the init params and pass it to our MainPage.xaml constructor, in the MainPage.xaml we can use these variables according to our requirement, here in this example I am simply displaying the variables in a Message Box. 1: public MainPage(string param1, string param2) 2: { 3: InitializeComponent(); 4: MessageBox.Show("Welcome, " + param1 + " " + param2); 5: } This will give you a sample output as Limitations: Depending on the browsers you have some limitation on the overall string length of the parameters you can pass. To get more details on this limitation, you can refer to this link :http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/misc/urllength.html 2. QueryStrings To show this example I am taking the scenario where we have a default.aspx page and we are going to the SIlverlightTestPage.aspx, and we have to work with the parameters which was passed by default.aspx in the SilverlightTestPage.aspx Silverlight Component. So first I will add a new page in my application which contains a button with ID =btnNext, and on click of the button I will redirect my page to my SilverlightTestAppPage.aspx with the required query strings. Code of Default.aspx 1: protected void btnNext_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) 2: { 3: Response.Redirect("~/SilverlightAppTestPage.aspx?FName=Brij" + "&LName=Mohan"); 4: } Code of MainPage.xaml.cs 1: public partial class MainPage : UserControl 2: { 3: public MainPage() 4: { 5: InitializeComponent(); 6: this.Loaded += new RoutedEventHandler(MainPage_Loaded); 7: } 8: 9: void MainPage_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) 10: { 11: IDictionary<string, string> qString = HtmlPage.Document.QueryString; 12: string firstName = string.Empty; 13: string lastName = string.Empty; 14: foreach (KeyValuePair<string, string> keyValuePair in qString) 15: { 16: string key = keyValuePair.Key; 17: string value = keyValuePair.Value; 18: if (key == "FName") 19: firstName = value; 20: else if (key == "LName") 21: lastName = value; 22: } 23: MessageBox.Show("Welcome, " + firstName + " " + lastName); 24: } 25: } Set the Startup page as Default.aspx, now run the application. This will give you the following output: Since here also you are using the Query Strings to pass your parameters, so you are depending on the browser capabilities of the length of the query strings it can pass. Here also you can refer the limitation which I have mentioned in my previous example for the length of parameters you can use.   3. Using HtmlPage.Document Silverlight to ASP.NET <—> ASP.NET to Silverlight: To show this I setup a sample Silverlight Application with Buttons Get Data and Set Data with the Data Text Box. In ASP.NET page I kep a TextBox to Show how the values passed to and From Silverlight to ASP.NET reflects back. My page with Silverlight control looks like this. When I Say Get Data it pulls the data from ASP.NET to Silverlight Control Text Box, and When I say Set data it basically Set the Value from Silverlight Control TextBox to ASP.NET TextBox. Now let see the code how it is doing. This is my ASP.NET Source Code. Here I have just created a TextBox named : txtData 1: <body> 2: <form id="form1" runat="server" style="height:100%"> 3: <div id="silverlightControlHost"> 4: ASP.NET TextBox: <input type="text" runat="server" id="txtData" value="Some Data" /> 5: <object data="data:application/x-silverlight-2," type="application/x-silverlight-2" width="100%" height="100%"> 6: <param name="source" value="ClientBin/SilverlightApplication1.xap"/> 7: <param name="onError" value="onSilverlightError" /> 8: <param name="background" value="white" /> 9: <param name="minRuntimeVersion" value="4.0.50826.0" /> 10: <param name="autoUpgrade" value="true" /> 11: <a href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=149156&v=4.0.50826.0" style="text-decoration:none"> 12: <img src="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161376" alt="Get Microsoft Silverlight" style="border-style:none"/> 13: </a> 14: </object><iframe id="_sl_historyFrame" style="visibility:hidden;height:0px;width:0px;border:0px"></iframe> 15: </div> 16: </form> 17: </body> My actual logic for getting and setting the data lies in my Silverlight Control, this is my XAML code with TextBox and Buttons. 1: <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White" Height="100" Width="450" VerticalAlignment="Top"> 2: <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> 3: <ColumnDefinition Width="110" /> 4: <ColumnDefinition Width="110" /> 5: <ColumnDefinition Width="110" /> 6: <ColumnDefinition Width="110" /> 7: </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> 8: <TextBlock Text="Silverlight Text Box: " Grid.Column="0" VerticalAlignment="Center"></TextBlock> 9: <TextBox x:Name="DataText" Width="100" Grid.Column="1" Height="20"></TextBox> 10: <Button x:Name="GetData" Width="100" Click="GetData_Click" Grid.Column="2" Height="30" Content="Get Data"></Button> 11: <Button x:Name="SetData" Width="100" Click="SetData_Click" Grid.Column="3" Height="30" Content="Set Data"></Button> 12: </Grid> Now we have to write few lines of Button Events for Get Data and Set Data which basically make use of Windows.System.Browser namespace. 1: private void GetData_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) 2: { 3: DataText.Text = HtmlPage.Document.GetElementById("txtData").GetProperty("value").ToString(); 4: } 5:  6: private void SetData_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) 7: { 8: HtmlPage.Document.GetElementById("txtData").SetProperty("value", DataText.Text); 9: } That’s it so when we run this application my Form will look like this. 4. Using Object Serialization. This is a useful when we want to pass Objects of Data from our ASP.NET application to Silverlight Controls and back. This technique basically uses the above technique I mentioned in Pint 3 above. Since this itself is a length topic so details of this I am going to cover in Part 2 of this Post with Sample Code Example very soon.

  • How to avoid the Portlet Skin mismatch

    - by Martin Deh
    here are probably many on going debates whether to use portlets or taskflows in a WebCenter custom portal application.  Usually the main battle on which side to take in these debates are centered around which technology enables better performance.  The good news is that both of my colleagues, Maiko Rocha and George Maggessy have posted their respective views on this topic so I will not have to further the discussion.  However, if you do plan to use portlets in a WebCenter custom portal application, this post will help you not have the "portlet skin mismatch" issue.   An example of the presence of the mismatch can be view from the applications log: The skin customsharedskin.desktop specified on the requestMap will be used even though the consumer's skin's styleSheetDocumentId on the requestMap does not match the local skin's styleSheetDocument's id. This will impact performance since the consumer and producer stylesheets cannot be shared. The producer styleclasses will not be compressed to avoid conflicts. A reason the ids do not match may be the jars are not identical on the producer and the consumer. For example, one might have trinidad-skins.xml's skin-additions in a jar file on the class path that the other does not have. Notice that due to the mismatch the portlet's CSS will not be able to be compressed, which will most like impact performance in the portlet's consuming portal. The first part of the blog will define the portlet mismatch and cover some debugging tips that can help you solve the portlet mismatch issue.  Following that I will give a complete example of the creating, using and sharing a shared skin in both a portlet producer and the consumer application. Portlet Mismatch Defined  In general, when you consume/render an ADF page (or task flow) using the ADF Portlet bridge, the portlet (producer) would try to use the skin of the consumer page - this is called skin-sharing. When the producer cannot match the consumer skin, the portlet would generate its own stylesheet and reference it from its markup - this is called mismatched-skin. This can happen because: The consumer and producer use different versions of ADF Faces, or The consumer has additional skin-additions that the producer doesn't have or vice-versa, or The producer does not have the consumer skin For case (1) & (2) above, the producer still uses the consumer skin ID to render its markup. For case (3), the producer would default to using portlet skin. If there is a skin mis-match then there may be a performance hit because: The browser needs to fetch this extra stylesheet (though it should be cached unless expires caching is turned off) The generated portlet markup uses uncompressed styles resulting in a larger markup It is often not obvious when a skin mismatch occurs, unless you look for either of these indicators: The log messages in the producer log, for example: The skin blafplus-rich.desktop specified on the requestMap will not be used because the styleSheetDocument id on the requestMap does not match the local skin's styleSheetDocument's id. It could mean the jars are not identical. For example, one might have trinidad-skins.xml's skin-additions in a jar file on the class path that the other does not have. View the portlet markup inside the iframe, there should be a <link> tag to the portlet stylesheet resource like this (note the CSS is proxied through consumer's resourceproxy): <link rel=\"stylesheet\" charset=\"UTF-8\" type=\"text/css\" href=\"http:.../resourceproxy/portletId...252525252Fadf%252525252Fstyles%252525252Fcache%252525252Fblafplus-rich-portlet-d1062g-en-ltr-gecko.css... Using HTTP monitoring tool (eg, firebug, httpwatch), you can see a request is made to the portlet stylesheet resource (see URL above) There are a number of reasons for mismatched-skin. For skin to match the producer and consumer must match the following configurations: The ADF Faces version (different versions may have different style selectors) Style Compression, this is defined in the web.xml (default value is false, i.e. compression is ON) Tonal styles or themes, also defined in the web.xml via context-params The same skin additions (jars with skin) are available for both producer and consumer.  Skin additions are defined in the trinidad-skins.xml, using the <skin-addition> tags. These are then aggregated from all the jar files in the classpath. If there's any jar that exists on the producer but not the consumer, or vice veras, you get a mismatch. Debugging Tips  Ensure the style compression and tonal styles/themes match on the consumer and producer, by looking at the web.xml documents for the consumer & producer applications It is bit more involved to determine if the jars match.  However, you can enable the Trinidad logging to show which skin-addition it is processing.  To enable this feature, update the logging.xml log level of both the producer and consumer WLS to FINEST.  For example, in the case of the WebLogic server used by JDeveloper: $JDEV_USER_DIR/system<version number>/DefaultDomain/config/fmwconfig/servers/DefaultServer/logging.xml Add a new entry: <logger name="org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.skin.SkinUtils" level="FINEST"/> Restart WebLogic.  Run the consumer page, you should see the following logging in both the consumer and producer log files. Any entries that don't match is the cause of the mismatch.  The following is an example of what the log will produce with this setting: [SRC_CLASS: org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.skin.SkinUtils] [APP: WebCenter] [SRC_METHOD: _getMetaInfSkinsNodeList] Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/announcement-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/calendar-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/custComps-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/forum-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/page-service-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/peopleconnections-kudos-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/peopleconnections-wall-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/portlet-client-adf-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/rtc-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/serviceframework-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/smarttag-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.skin/in1ar8/APP-INF/lib/spaces-service-skins.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/oracle.webcenter.composer/3yo7j/WEB-INF/lib/custComps-skin.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/adf.oracle.domain.webapp/q433f9/WEB-INF/lib/adf-richclient-impl-11.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/adf.oracle.domain.webapp/q433f9/WEB-INF/lib/dvt-faces.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml Processing skin URL:zip:/tmp/_WL_user/adf.oracle.domain.webapp/q433f9/WEB-INF/lib/dvt-trinidad.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml   The Complete Example The first step is to create the shared library.  The WebCenter documentation covering this is located here in section 15.7.  In addition, our ADF guru Frank Nimphius also covers this in hes blog.  Here are my steps (in JDeveloper) to create the skin that will be used as the shared library for both the portlet producer and consumer. Create a new Generic Application Give application name (i.e. MySharedSkin) Give a project name (i.e. MySkinProject) Leave Project Technologies blank (none selected), and click Finish Create the trinidad-skins.xml Right-click on the MySkinProject node in the Application Navigator and select "New" In the New Galley, click on "General", select "File" from the Items, and click OK In the Create File dialog, name the file trinidad-skins.xml, and (IMPORTANT) give the directory path to MySkinProject\src\META-INF In the trinidad-skins.xml, complete the skin entry.  for example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?> <skins xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/skin">   <skin>     <id>mysharedskin.desktop</id>     <family>mysharedskin</family>     <extends>fusionFx-v1.desktop</extends>     <style-sheet-name>css/mysharedskin.css</style-sheet-name>   </skin> </skins> Create CSS file In the Application Navigator, right click on the META-INF folder (where the trinidad-skins.xml is located), and select "New" In the New Gallery, select Web-Tier-> HTML, CSS File from the the Items and click OK In the Create Cascading Style Sheet dialog, give the name (i.e. mysharedskin.css) Ensure that the Directory path is the under the META-INF (i.e. MySkinProject\src\META-INF\css) Once the new CSS opens in the editor, add in a style selector.  For example, this selector will style the background of a particular panelGroupLayout: af|panelGroupLayout.customPGL{     background-color:Fuchsia; } Create the MANIFEST.MF (used for deployment JAR) In the Application Navigator, right click on the META-INF folder (where the trinidad-skins.xml is located), and select "New" In the New Galley, click on "General", select "File" from the Items, and click OK In the Create File dialog, name the file MANIFEST.MF, and (IMPORTANT) ensure that the directory path is to MySkinProject\src\META-INF Complete the MANIFEST.MF, where the extension name is the shared library name Manifest-Version: 1.1 Created-By: Martin Deh Implementation-Title: mysharedskin Extension-Name: mysharedskin.lib.def Specification-Version: 1.0.1 Implementation-Version: 1.0.1 Implementation-Vendor: MartinDeh Create new Deployment Profile Right click on the MySkinProject node, and select New From the New Gallery, select General->Deployment Profiles, Shared Library JAR File from Items, and click OK In the Create Deployment Profile dialog, give name (i.e.mysharedskinlib) and click OK In the Edit JAR Deployment dialog, un-check Include Manifest File option  Select Project Output->Contributors, and check Project Source Path Select Project Output->Filters, ensure that all items under the META-INF folder are selected Click OK to exit the Project Properties dialog Deploy the shared lib to WebLogic (start server before steps) Right click on MySkin Project and select Deploy For this example, I will deploy to JDeverloper WLS In the Deploy dialog, select Deploy to Weblogic Application Server and click Next Choose IntegratedWebLogicServer and click Next Select Deploy to selected instances in the domain radio, select Default Server (note: server must be already started), and ensure Deploy as a shared Library radio is selected Click Finish Open the WebLogic console to see the deployed shared library The following are the steps to create a simple test Portlet Create a new WebCenter Portal - Portlet Producer Application In the Create Portlet Producer dialog, select default settings and click Finish Right click on the Portlets node and select New IIn the New Gallery, select Web-Tier->Portlets, Standards-based Java Portlet (JSR 286) and click OK In the General Portlet information dialog, give portlet name (i.e. MyPortlet) and click Next 2 times, stopping at Step 3 In the Content Types, select the "view" node, in the Implementation Method, select the Generate ADF-Faces JSPX radio and click Finish Once the portlet code is generated, open the view.jspx in the source editor Based on the simple CSS entry, which sets the background color of a panelGroupLayout, replace the <af:form/> tag with the example code <af:form>         <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1" styleClass="customPGL">           <af:outputText value="background from shared lib skin" id="ot1"/>         </af:panelGroupLayout>  </af:form> Since this portlet is to use the shared library skin, in the generated trinidad-config.xml, remove both the skin-family tag and the skin-version tag In the Application Resources view, under Descriptors->META-INF, double-click to open the weblogic-application.xml Add a library reference to the shared skin library (note: the library-name must match the extension-name declared in the MANIFEST.MF):  <library-ref>     <library-name>mysharedskin.lib.def</library-name>  </library-ref> Notice that a reference to oracle.webcenter.skin exists.  This is important if this portlet is going to be consumed by a WebCenter Portal application.  If this tag is not present, the portlet skin mismatch will happen.  Configure the portlet for deployment Create Portlet deployment WAR Right click on the Portlets node and select New In the New Gallery, select Deployment Profiles, WAR file from Items and click OK In the Create Deployment Profile dialog, give name (i.e. myportletwar), click OK Keep all of the defaults, however, remember the Context Root entry (i.e. MyPortlet4SharedLib-Portlets-context-root, this will be needed to obtain the producer WSDL URL) Click OK, then OK again to exit from the Properties dialog Since the weblogic-application.xml has to be included in the deployment, the portlet must be deployed as a WAR, within an EAR In the Application dropdown, select Deploy->New Deployment Profile... By default EAR File has been selected, click OK Give Deployment Profile (EAR) a name (i.e. MyPortletProducer) and click OK In the Properties dialog, select Application Assembly and ensure that the myportletwar is checked Keep all of the other defaults and click OK For this demo, un-check the Auto Generate ..., and all of the Security Deployment Options, click OK Save All In the Application dropdown, select Deploy->MyPortletProducer In the Deployment Action, select Deploy to Application Server, click Next Choose IntegratedWebLogicServer and click Next Select Deploy to selected instances in the domain radio, select Default Server (note: server must be already started), and ensure Deploy as a standalone Application radio is selected The select deployment type (identifying the deployment as a JSR 286 portlet) dialog appears.  Keep default radio "Yes" selection and click OK Open the WebLogic console to see the deployed Portlet The last step is to create the test portlet consuming application.  This will be done using the OOTB WebCenter Portal - Framework Application.  Create the Portlet Producer Connection In the JDeveloper Deployment log, copy the URL of the portlet deployment (i.e. http://localhost:7101/MyPortlet4SharedLib-Portlets-context-root Open a browser and paste in the URL.  The Portlet information page should appear.  Click on the WSRP v2 WSDL link Copy the URL from the browser (i.e. http://localhost:7101/MyPortlet4SharedLib-Portlets-context-root/portlets/wsrp2?WSDL) In the Application Resources view, right click on the Connections folder and select New Connection->WSRP Connection Give the producer a name or accept the default, click Next Enter (paste in) the WSDL URL, click Next If connection to Portlet is succesful, Step 3 (Specify Additional ...) should appear.  Accept defaults and click Finish Add the portlet to a test page Open the home.jspx.  Note in the visual editor, the orange dashed border, which identifies the panelCustomizable tag. From the Application Resources. select the MyPortlet portlet node, and drag and drop the node into the panelCustomizable section.  A Confirm Portlet Type dialog appears, keep default ADF Rich Portlet and click OK Configure the portlet to use the shared skin library Open the weblogic-application.xml and add the library-ref entry (mysharedskin.lib.def) for the shared skin library.  See create portlet example above for the steps Since by default, the custom portal using a managed bean to (dynamically) determine the skin family, the default trinidad-config.xml will need to be altered Open the trinidad-config.xml in the editor and replace the EL (preferenceBean) for the skin-family tag, with mysharedskin (this is the skin-family named defined in the trinidad-skins.xml) Remove the skin-version tag Right click on the index.html to test the application   Notice that the JDeveloper log view does not have any reporting of a skin mismatch.  In addition, since I have configured the extra logging outlined in debugging section above, I can see the processed skin jar in both the producer and consumer logs: <SkinUtils> <_getMetaInfSkinsNodeList> Processing skin URL:zip:/JDeveloper/system11.1.1.6.38.61.92/DefaultDomain/servers/DefaultServer/upload/mysharedskin.lib.def/[email protected]/app/mysharedskinlib.jar!/META-INF/trinidad-skins.xml
