  • PackageManager: Not granting permission

    Im trying to force my phone to go to sleep as soon as i turn my screen off, but whenever i install with adb, packagemanager informs me that it wont grant the permission i need, so my service throws an exception. I was able to install another app called power save mode toggle which has the same permission, and it seems to work, so i should be able to get this to work, right?

    I'm using lxml as follows to parse an exported XML file from another system: xmldoc = open(filename) etree.parse(xmldoc) But im getting: lxml.etree.XMLSyntaxError: Entity 'eacute' not defined, line 4495, column 46 Obviously it's having problems with unicode entity names - but how would i get round this? Via open() or parse()?

  • Cross browser issues with IE

    Im really annoyed with Internet Explorer.I designed a site using css. The really annoying part is the cross browser issues.. The site works fine in all versions of FireFox and Chrome but when it comes to internet explorer. IE5 - The complete site is messed up with the alignments IE6 - Major Alignment problems. IE7 and 8 Works pretty good. Can someone please suggest some good methods to get rid of the cross browser issues with IE??

    Does anyone have any experience and/or tips wrt using Xcode to build winlib binaries on the Mac? As part of a Windows - Mac OS X crossplatform port i'm looking at an initial winelib port of the app before reworking the windowing to use Cocoa. None of the winelib tutorials ive seen so far mention anything other than command line builds using make files and winegcc, so Im wondering if its worth bothering at all trying to get an Xcode project built linking against winelib.

    I have an nsis installer script for the application im working on and it can place a shortcut on the desktop and in the start menu folder but each shortcut has the wrong start in path and as such the app saves data files to where the short cut is. Is there an easy way to change the start in path as the documentation was less than helpful on the matter? When I'm in editing mode i want to reorder the cell but e when I drag a cell at the bottom of the screen it's allowed to go down as much as the TableView height and down the last tableViewCell. I've only 4 cell and i want that when Im dragging a cell it's not allowed to go down after the fourth cell. Can Anyone help me?!?

Or is there some better documentation of both methods, i.e. getSnapshot and createImage than the Java API reference?

    My application requires the user to enter their business name, which the application will automatically create into a unique identifier to be used in URLs, ie "Bob's Cafe" will become "bobs-cafe" But if there are duplicate names I would like the application to add a number so if there is already a "bobs-cafe" we will use "bobs-cafe-1" and likewise if there is already a "bobs-cafe-1" we will use "bobs-cafe-2" Ive used explode and also looked at a regular expressions but I dont know the best way to approach this. Im stuck in being able to grab the number and incrementing it and returning the string
