  • VirtualBox error VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND

    I am using Fedora 12, with kernel stv-fedora 2.6.31.12-174.2.22.fc12.i686 I have install VirtualBox OSE v3.1.4-1.fc12. When I start VirtualBox I get the following error: Failed to start the virtual machine WinXP32. Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-eth0' (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND). One of the kernel modules was not successfully loaded. Make sure that no kernel modules from an older version of VirtualBox exist. Then try to recompile and reload the kernel modules by executing '/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup' as root (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND). However, if I run /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup I get this error: -bash: /etc/init.d/vboxdrv: No such file or directory How do I get rid of the error and run VirtualBox?

  • Internal only DNS?

    We are running a research project with hundreds (becoming thousands) of remote hosts. Each host is running OpenVPN so we can find them regardless of what their 'assigned' IP is. We have been using DynDNS to manage this but we're running into some issues with them ( API is weak/nonexistent, size constraints, etc). Im looking into setting up a internal-only domain (EG "our.stuff" so a host would be "site1.our.stuff" or "site3.net4.our.stuff") that I can configure with the info from the OpenVPN server. Since we'd have to point our internal DNS to this machine it would have to be able to route/cache requests for 'external' machines as well. I've been trying to read about 'internal DNS', 'private', 'non-routeable' but I'm not having much success. Summary: need info on internal, caching DNS server. Something with open-source would be ideal. If not, I can script out changes to .conf, etc.

PHP Extension curl is loaded PHP Extension dom is loaded PHP Extension gd is loaded PHP Extension hash is loaded PHP Extension iconv is loaded PHP Extension mcrypt is loaded PHP Extension pcre is loaded PHP Extension pdo is loaded PHP Extension pdo_mysql is loaded PHP Extension simplexml is loaded These are all installed on Magento Server For the Database Connection, I used: The Database server only has MySQL 5.5 Server installed on it Host - Internal IP address User Name - The User I created when setting up database Password - The Password I created when setting up database For the password, I did some research and found out that Magento only accepts alphanumeric, so I went and set it up again and used only alphanumeric for the User password Now, I am still getting Accessed denied for database Connection. Also, I have tryed to setup mysql on independant Linux Server but kept getting errors. When, I found the solution. Wouldn't work, so I decided to try Windows. These is the questions, I have been asking and researching to debug this issue Is it because I am using Linux for magento and Windows for Database. I have had no luck in finding a reason why this wouldn't work There must be something, I am missing I also researched the difference between linux sql databases and windows sql databases but have not come to conclusion, if installing Mysql on windows would make a difference in syntax and coding. I have spent a lot of time looking into this and need some help with direction on how to complete my project. Any type of help would be appreciated.

    If I've got a typical home router -- say a Net Gear -- which has certain ports forwarded to a internal server, is there a way to tweak the router to let me access that internal server using the external IP address from within the same network? Is there a non-enterprise grade router that can handle this type of thing? In case that was strangely worded, let me re-phrase with an example. My external IP is 1.2.3.4. My internal server is 10.4.3.100 Port 1178 is being forwarded from the router to 10.4.3.100. I'd like to be able to be able to hit 10.4.3.100 from an internal ip of 10.4.3.10 by using the external ip of 1.2.3.4. Possible?

    When I'm viewing the job history of a particular SQL Agent Job, I typically want to see whether it succeeded, its duration and maybe the duration of the individual steps of the job. When I open the history in the Log File Viewer, I always need to scroll over and shrink the 'Message' column and drag the 'Duration' column over next to the 'Step Name' column. Is there a way to configure the layout of the Log File Viewer (e.g. reposition columns, resize columns) and save it for future sessions? Thanks!

  • OpenWRT based gateway with dnsmasq and internal server with bind

    I have router based on OpenWRT which has dnsmasq 2.59. Inside my local area network I have a NS server bind. This server has internal and external views for a couple of my domains. My router forwards port 53 TCP and UDP from outside IP (router WAN) to this server. For the external clients everything works fine. In order to organize the internal view, I decided to add the exception to /etc/dnsmasq.conf server=/mydomain1.com/192.168.1.1 server=/mydomain2.com/192.168.1.1 server=/mydomain3.com/192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1 - IP address of the NS server) According to dnsmasq manstrong text: More specific domains take precendence over less specific domains, so: --server=/google.com/1.2.3.4 --server=/www.google.com/2.3.4.5 will send queries for *.google.com to 1.2.3.4, except *www.google.com, which will go to 2.3.4.5 this domain name with all the sub-domains is supposed to be forward to my NS server. They will be in the same network but not in the same domain, both windows server 2008 and the database server is sql server 2008. My question being, what is the best way to secure data in transport between the servers? I've looked into IPSEC and SSL but not sure how to go about implementing either.

  • List Squid's internal ip:port to external ip:port mapping table

    I'm assuming that squid keeps a list of internal ip:port that a request is made on and the matching external ip:port that the request is fulfilled with. In the case of a long transfer, such as a file download, it would be nice to be able to see which internal ip:port is downloading the file. I am able to see the traffic and get the external ip:port that squid is using easily with tcpdump or iptraf but I can't find a way to map this back to an internal ip:port.

  • How to stop access to file while it is being uploded by FTP on Windows server 2008

    I'm using FTP 7.5 on Windows 2008 R2. When I upload a file and it is partially uploaded I'm able to move it before it has completed. Is there a way to stop this? I see an option under Advanced settings-Behaviour-File Handling-Allow reading files while uploading but this doesn't seem to do the trick. I guess it's write access that I need to stop. It seemed to have this functionality by default on IIS6.

  • Route multiple subdomains on one external ip to multiple internal ips

    i have several subdomains(git.example.org, build.example.org, etc.), i have a router with an external ip and i have several virtual machines on a host computer with internal ips. Now i want to route git.example.org to internal ip 10.0.2.1 and build.example.org to internal ip 10.0.2.2. How can I do this? I setup in the Router that all traffic on port 80 is comming to my host computer with internal ip 10.0.2.3 and installed Squid on that computer. I added the following lines to the squid.conf file: cache_peer 10.0.2.1 parent 80 0 no-query originserver name=server_1 cache_peer_domain server_1 git.example.org cache_peer 10.0.2.2 parent 80 0 no-query originserver name=server_2 cache_peer_domain server_2 build.example.org But this is not working for me. :( Any help appreciated.   • Untangle VPN setup, how to see internal addresses?

    So Untangle is setup as the default gateway at 192.168.100.1/24, it is the authorative DHCP server issuing addresses from 192.168.100.100 to 192.168.100.200 and is successfully connected to the Internet. Untangle uses OpenVPN for remote access. Accessing the VPN gives me the address 192.168.40.5. However, I cannot ping any machines on the internal 192.168.100.x network remotely. Clearly, there is something basic that I am missing. What is it and how is it solved? Update: The VPN was not setup with the internal network. Since Untangle only allows editing the VPN setup once, the VPN had to be removed and reinstalled with the internal network exported. Now it works. The lesson is that the internal network must be setup before configuring the VPN.

    I am running cPanel/WHM on Apache server and have just installed an SSL certificate for a single domain. Domain/server is on a fixed dedicated IP address. I'm given the 'successfully installed' message when installing the SSL certificate, however when trying to visit the domain using https, the 500 Internal Server Error message appears: The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

  • How to work around Windows error 8x90070057?

    So today I was trying to copy a simple .PDF file from a local folder on my machine to a network folder and every time I tried to move the file I would get an error dialog box which would state that I was passing a wrong parameter and give me the error code of 8x90070057. Does anyone know of a way to work around this error so that I can get this file copied? I have tried renaming the file with an underscore in front. I have tried copying from my local folder to my desktop and then to the remote folder. I have tried hunting down anything that might be using the file. An example of the file name is: Flowers & Trees.pdf

GoDaddy allows you to setup a 404 in their control panel, but I can't override this, or setup any additional error redirects, specifically a 500-server error.   • Issue Creating SQL Login for AppPoolIdentity on Windows Server 2008

    IIS7 introduced the option to run your application pool as AppPoolIdentity. With the release of IIS7.5, AppPoolIdentity was promoted to the default option.  You see this change if you’re running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.  On my Windows 7 machine, I’m able to define my Application Pool Identity and then create an associated database login via the SQL Server Management Studio interface.  No problem.  However, I ran into some troubles when recently installing my web application onto a Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit machine.  Strange, but the same approach failed as SSMS couldn’t find the AppPoolIdentity user.  Instead of using the tools, I created and executed the login via script and it worked fine.  Here’s the script, based off of the DefaultAppPool identity, if the same happens to you: CREATE LOGIN [IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool] FROM WINDOWS WITH DEFAULT_DATABASE=[master] USE [Chinook] CREATE USER [IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool] FOR LOGIN [IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool]

Every so often, I either get a new developer or need to deploy wide-scale schema changes to the production server. My main concern is deploying schema + data updates to developer machines from the "master" development copy. Is there some built-in functionality or tools for publishing schema + data in such a fashion? I'd like it to take as little time as possible. Can it be done from within SSMS?
