  • Joomla, Drupal, DotNetNuke or something else for a sport club?

    I am setting up a web site for a football club and I am wondering which CMS to use. I am a developer but I am doing this as a favour to a friend and would rather grab something with modules in it (registration, events, calender, etc etc) already. I need to be able to customise it but I had a look around and Wordpress looks like a blogging tool. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the above or any others and if shed some light.     Hi lads, After obtaining the urls for various blogspots, tumblr and wordpress pages, I faced some problems processing the html pages. The thing is, i wish to distinguish between the content,title and date for each blog post. I might be able to get the date through regex, but there are so many custom scripts people are using now that the html classes and structure is so different. Does anyone has a solution that may help?

  • Apache shows different sites on same vhost

    on a plesk 9.3.0 running Apache on CentOS I have 6 vhosts setup. All of them run wordpress, installed via installatron. Sometimes, when I request mynewsite.com (last site created) it instead shows firstsite.com (first site setup in this VPS). this only happens on mynewsite.com. It has never occurred on any of the other sites in this VPS. I am baffled. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

    One day, wordpress suddenly jumped from pots id 9110 to 890000000 post. Days later I'd like to move back new posts to continue from id 9111. I'm sure that id will never reach id 890000000, no problem here, but id is an autoincrement field and "ALTER TABLE wp8_posts AUTO_INCREMENT =9111" is not working. Can I force id to continue from 9111 ?

    I have a Drupal-6 module that needs the following mod-rewrite rule added to the .htaccess file of the site's root directory in order to work. RewriteRule ^blog/([0-9]{4}/[0-9]{2}/[0-9]{2}/.*)$ wordpress/$1 How can I add this line pro-grammatically when the module is first installed? Can I use custom_url_rewrite_inbound(&$result, $path, $path_language) to do this? If so, could you please show me an example? Thanks, D

    I have a sample Solr schema as follows isPublic = boolean source = facebook| twitter | wordpress I want to write a query which returns all documents from the index which matches either the isPublic = true or isPublic is false and source= facebook. Something like this solrUrl/?q=blah&fq=(isPublic:true OR (isPublic:false AND source:facebook)) Is such a thing possible or should I search the index two times with each of these conditions and then combine + de-duplicate the results?

    I'd basically like to get /path/file+name+with+plusses.mp3 to rewrite to /path/file name with plusses.mp3 In my case wordpress is intercepting the request and giving a 404. But the file does indeed exist. Given the constraints of the regex in mod_rewrite implementation, I haven't yet seen a straightforward way of doing this.
