Right now, my solution consists in adding the activeX as a reference in a VB6 project, then use the object explorer (F2). Is there anything quicker than that?   Hello, Q1 - As far as I know, Visual Studio doesn’t use aspnet_compiler.exe when compiling web application projects. And since Web Deployment Projects (WDP) tool is only used for manipulation the output created by aspnet_compiler.exe, I don’t understand how VS 2008 also has an option for using WDP with web application projects?!   For one of my clients I'm currently building an application that communicates with a legacy Microsoft Access database. Migrating to SQL server is unfortunately not (yet) an option. I currently write the queries using OleDbConnection, OleDbCommand and –good old- text based queries. • Specify ApplicationName when using ASP.NET Web Site Administration Tool

  This tool is supposed to configure users and roles etc., but when I use it on a new web site, with a new aspnetdb database, it adds a record to the aspnet_Applications table with the ApplicationName and the LoweredApplicationName fields set to /. I think it would make more sense if it actually used the application name, i.e. the web site name. Can I safely just change the application name? Is there a better way of configuring these things?
