    I am working on a project that stores multiple versions in the same svn repo but in different directories. For ease of reference for the coders working on the project I'd like to be able to add a commented tag similarly to # $Revision: 144 $ However, instead of the file revision it should contain a simple version number like so: # $Version: 1.63 $ # $Version: 1.64 $ # $Version: 2.0 $ Is there a way to get subversion to do this automatically for a specific directory and all sub-directories as well as for any new files added to those?

    Once in a while I have read here and there the size of a project expressed in a matter of days-person or person-day. I may understand what this means, but I don't know on what do people base themselves to calculate it. What are the variables considered into this calculation? How these variables are used in the calculation formula? Otherwise, how to estimate it grossly, when something is missing from the formula's variables? Thanks! =)

  • How to prevent PHP variables from being arrays or objects?

    I think that (the title) is the problem I am having. I set up a MySQL connection, I read an XML file, and then I insert those values into a table by looping through the elements. The problem is, instead of inserting only 1 record, sometimes I insert 2 or 3 or 4. It seems to depend on the previous values I have read. I think I am reinitializing the variables, but I guess I am missing something -- hopefully something simple. Here is my code. I originally had about 20 columns, but I shortened the included version to make it easier to read. $ctr = 0; $sql = "insert into csd (id,type,nickname,hostname,username,password) ". I also tagged this SimpleXML because that is how I am reading the file, though that code is not included above. When I display the bind array before inserting, it looks like this. Note that I also count the rows before and after, so there are 0 rows, then I insert 1, then there are 2: 0 CSDs on that ITEM now.   • QLocale, what is the scope of the global QLocale::setDefault()?

    Problem: I have a QT based multiplatform (win,mac,*nix) application that parses ascii files containing decimal numbers. parsing is done using a variety of different code pieces that use anything from qt string stuff, c++ stdin, oldstyle scanf, etc. ascii files have always the '.' (dot) as separated decimal (e.g. in the file to be parsed 1/10 is written 0.1 as standard in many countries). people using the application within a OS localized for using comma separated decimal encounter a lot of problems (e.g. for french users scanf expect to find 0,1 as a valid textual representation of 1/10 and if they find 0.1 scanf will parse it as 0) How can I be sure that the OS Locale indication of how decimal point has to be written is always ignored? Is it safe assuming that adding QLocale::setDefault(QLocale(QLocale::English,QLocale::UnitedStates)); is enough to get rid of all these problems? Any suggestion for portable ways of setting the locale globally?

I just need 2 short lines of code, the rest like detecting if and where to execute I've figured out. I've tried delete map[i][j].item; with no results. Help appreciated.

    As per this question, I understand that core.autocrlf=true in git will cause CRLF to LF translations. However when I type : git config core.autocrlf I see: false However, when I stage modified files that are already in the repo, I still get these warnings: Warning: CRLF will be replaced by LF in File1.X. The file will have its original line endings in your working directory. My guess is that the repo copy of the file is already set to "autocrlf=true". Questions: A. How do I query whether a file or git repo is already forcing AutoCrlf? B. How do I turn it autocrlf off?

    I'm new to this and have already searched for this with not much luck :( Lets say I have defined a struct array globally and filled the array with data on an Ajax ModalPopupExtender. I then have a ddl_SelectedIndexChanged event that does a postback and seems to recycle my array. Is there a way to fire the ddl_SelectedIndexChanged event to perform some code without doing a postback? Or is there an easy way to make the array of type struct retain it's values? (I am creating a website btw) Thanks in advance...
