  • JNI 'problmatic frame' causes JVM to crash

    Hi I'm using JNI to access the exiv2 library (written in C++) in Java and I'm getting a weird runtime error in the JNI code. I've tried using various -Xms and -Xmx options, but that seems to have no affect.   • What is the XML spec for importing into Microsoft Project?

    From our existing, internal tracking system I would like to create an XML export that I can then bring into Microsoft Project 2007 to further display and manipulation. I've been unable to find a straightforward explanation of how the XML should look for this kind of import. I want to be able to create dependencies, assign resources, etc. The Excel/CSV imports don't appear to offer all these capabilities so I think XML is the better way...if I could just get a spec for it.

  • Metro apps crash on startup, driver or permissions issue?

    After installing Win8 x64 RC, Metro apps worked correctly, but desktop OpenGL apps were slow and unresponsive. I installed the latest Win8 nVidia drivers, and the OpenGL apps started working correctly. At the same time, because of annoying permission messages, I changed the C:\ drive and all its files ownerships to my user, and gave it full permission. I restarted my pc after installing the drivers, and now Metro apps only show the splash screen, then crash. I tried installing other versions of the nVidia drivers, with the same result. My GPU is a GeForce GTX275. Is this a known problem with nVidia drivers? Or maybe changing the ownership of C:\ is the real problem? Thank you. More information (after looking in the event viewer) I've managed to find the problem and the error in the Event Viewer. I still cannot solve it. But still i get this, PHP Fatal error: Class 'mysqli' not found i tried enabling dynamic loading and initialize php scripts with dl("mysqli.so"); i also tried recompiling the php source: ./configure --with-mysql=/usr/lib64/mysql --with- mysqli=/usr/lib64/mysql/mysql_config even this didn't work. Can anybody help me solve my problem? Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5 (Tikanga). x86_64 GNU/Linux. No access to RHN. Thanks.

I am set to block popups but not javascript in chrome and have a blackout theme installed. any ideas?

I'd like to implement the following feature and would like some suggestions on how to do this: Once I get a junk call, I typically hang up. I think want to dial some number (like *23 or something) and I'd like the last number that was received to be put in a database. Any future call from that number will be directed to VM or a busy tone. I'd appreciate some pointers on how I'd go about doing this.. I prefer an open source solution.

    I'm trying to get GD into my PHP. So I compiled it, made php.ini point to it, restarted apache etc. But no GD. So in apache error log it says PHP Warning: PHP Startup: gd: Unable to initialize module\nModule compiled with module API=20060613\nPHP compiled with module API=20090115\nThese options need to match\n in Unknown on line 0 So a bit of googling says I should not use the phpize I have before configuring and making these. I should use a new one called phpize5. I surely don't have any such thing. Unless its packed up inside something else in my php5.3. distro. Where do you get it. In Ubuntu I could just run sudo apt-get install php-dev, (apparently) and it would just appear by magic. At least that's what the webpage said. Unfortunately I am running MacOSX version Leopard. How can I build this GD module so that it will match the API number in my PHP?

    I have a foswiki installation for keeping ISO and other documents. I would like to create a PDF from each page. How can I create a topic template with different headers and footers for each topic template? More info: When a user creates a new topic, they can choose a template. I've made several templates for Functional and Programming specs. The functional spec and programming spec require different document numbers. I would like for the software engineers to be able to create a new topic, choose the template, then be able to generate a PDF from the wiki page, pulling the appropriate document number, and some other text into the headers and footers. I am not very familiar, and haven't been able to find any examples on doing this. Any help would be appreciated!

    What is the easiest way to permanently change association (program which opens etc.) for several file extensions at once? What I mean? Let's say you used TextEditorUncool up until now to open txt, dat, bat and abc files. Now you got TextEditorReallyCool and you wish if there was an application which on the left had a name of the program, and on the right a list of file extensions associated with it (which it, let's say, opens). Is there such a thing? Usually programs change this thing during installation (some even ask before), but in the case of portable programs one usually has to do it by hand, and for editors which open a gazillion of different file extensions, it gets tiresome really fast. All ideas welcomed !

  • Microsoft Arc Mouse OS X

    I recently bought a new Mac Book Pro with Mountain Lion 10.8 on it. The only portable mouse I have is my Microsoft Arc Mouse. I wanted to use it with the laptop so I installed the IntelliPoint 8.2 for Mac from Microsofts website. According to their website, this driver is for OS X 10.4-10.7. Now I thought that wouldnt be too much of an issue but unfortunately for me, the driver installs fine and the mouse is detected but I get no movement and when I click the buttons nothing happens. I took the mouse with me on a business trip to EU and before I left I checked if the mouse worked with my desktop which is running Windows 7 and it worked without any hiccups. I'm not too sure where the OS differs from 10.7 to 10.8. I found an article online but it doesn't pertain to my mouse, although it could be of assistance.
