  • Send SMS through Asp.net via gsm modem

    Is it possible to detect GSM mobile (any kind) which connected through serial port to computer and then be able to send SMS through this mobile phone to other mobile phones from asp.net website running under iis(only 1 system), could anyone help me and guide me, I wrote a program which could open COM port but still couldn't detect mobile phone and send SMS through it.

  • Using multiple column layout with HTML 5 and CSS 3

You can find the other posts here , here and here.In this post I will provide a hands-on example with HTML 5 and CSS 3 on how to create a page with multiple columns and proper layout.I will show you how to use CSS 3 to create columns much easier than relying on DIV elements and the float CSS rule.I will also show you how to use browser-specific prefix rules (-ms for Internet Explorer and -moz for Firefox ) for browsers that do not fully support CSS 3.In order to be absolutely clear this is not (and could not be) a detailed tutorial on HTML 5. There are other great resources for that.Navigate to the excellent interactive tutorials of W3School.Another excellent resource is HTML 5 Doctor.Two very nice sites that show you what features and specifications are implemented by various browsers and their versions are http://caniuse.com/ and http://html5test.com/. At this times Chrome seems to support most of HTML 5 specifications.Another excellent way to find out if the browser supports HTML 5 and CSS 3 features is to use the Javascript lightweight library Modernizr.In this hands-on example I will be using Expression Web 4.0.This application is not a free application.     I'm getting a NullPointerException in a Nokia S40. I want to know what is causing this exception. The device shows: NullPointerException java/lang/NullPointerException This error only occurs in the device, running in the emulator the application works fine. I use microlog to debug my application. But the application works fine if the log is enabled. Is there a way to get the stack trace when I get this NullPointerException? I don't need all details like the line number just which method cause this exception. UPDATE: I installed the same application in another Nokia S40 and the same error didn't occur.     I am trying to sign and encrypt .mobileconfig profiles for iOS devices. Signing works perfectly using openssl::pkcs7 sign function in ruby, however using encrypt function, I get an encrypted data but Safari fails to install the profile saying "Invalid Profile". There are two questions in this regard: Which data from the .mobileconfig profile is actually encrypted that goes into the .. section of the EncryptedPayloadContent ? Is the data in binary format (.der) or base64 encoded? Any help in this regard would be helpful as APPLE severly lacks any documentation in encrypting the profiles.

    I have a modal pop up function on my website, but i don't want this to run if the browser is smaller than 480px. I have found that if I put an if statement such as: if (window.innerWidth && window.innerWidth > 480) { run function() } Then it should run only if the browsers innerWidth is 480. However its not working and I think its because I have page scaling on this website. Can any one help me with a conditional statement if page scaling is on? Thanks.

    I have a nascent bridge scoring app that is meant to be stored locally on an iPod touch/iPhone (iPad? Would probably be fugly...) So far so good, got a custom icon rolling and basic JS navigation laid out, but my problem is that it retains its state when I quit the app. Is there a simple magic Apple meta tag for this? Or is it achieved with javascript? Thanks for any insight.

    Hello, I'm running some tests and need to be able to get Windows Phone 7 Series emulator synced with an exchange account or local Outlook account via the Device Center. I'm using the unlocked version of the emulator so that i actually have a reasonable set of software on the phone to work with. When the emulator launches i expect the Device Center to detect it and start syncing (or prompt me for settings). This does not happen. I've tried adjusting the Connection Settings (COM2 and DMA) in the Device Center with no luck. Is this possible? Has anyone done it? Thanks in advance!
