• open-source LAMP package for simple accouting and receiving?

  Hello. I am involved with a computer-based charity where we take donation of old equipment, often recycle it, mostly rehabilitate it and make it available through grants and 'adoptions', and sell some items. What we're looking for is a LAMP package that can handle our records of donations of equipment, print receipts for donators, and also track our thrift store sales with receipts. Donators will want receipts of their donations for tax deduction purposes. We'll want to print reports of incoming items from time to time, say monthly and yearly. For the thrift store, we'll also need receipts for that, reports of cash, especially for reconciling cash drops, and also reports of items sold from time to time. I'm thinking this might be a single package, but it might be two. We don't want to track our shop inventory with either of these programs -- that's another program/project. We just need to know what was donated and what was sold. It must be open source, and ideally we'd like it to run on LAMP -- Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, but we will consider other open-source platforms.

• How can an IBM WebSphere MQ's Queue Manager's local queues be enumerated?

  I'm trying to write a simple tool for monitoring the state of a Queue Manager. One of the things I'd like to monitor is the current queue depth of each queue. I haven't been able to find a way to programmatically enumerate all of the queues on a particular Queue Manager, though. Do any of the MQ APIs provide this functionality? I'd prefer to do this with C, but if it's only possible with another language's bindings, I'd at least like to know that.

As soon as I kill all sessions I was able to recompile but encounter the same behavior (i.e. locked package) and I wonder what tools are avail to identify what could of obtain it and never release it? • How do I add a WMware ESXi Host to Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager?

  I am trying to manage virtual machines running on a VMware ESXi host using Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. I was able to add the ESXi machine using the "Add VMware VirtualCenter server" option, but can't access any of the VMs on the datastore associated with this ESXi server. The datastore of the ESXi box is showing up with the correct name, but it won't let me see any of the VMs that have already been created; I get "There are no virtual machines on this host." Because I couldn't get any of the existing virtual machines to show up, I tried creating some new ones. When using VMM to connect to ESXi and create new VMs, I get the following error messages in the "rating explanation" section: The virtualization software on the selected host does not support virtual hard disks on an IDE bus. and The virtualization software on the host XXXXXX does not support the creation of dynamic virtual hard disk. Any ideas on why I can't manage existing machines and why I can't create new ones? The existing machines were created in vSphere. I should note that the ESXi server and the server running SCVMM are both on the same domain. I should also note that although the ESXi box has been added as a VirtualCetner server, when I try to add it through the "Add Host" option, I get an error message saying "Virtual Machine Manager cannot complete the VirtualCenter action on server EXSi because of the following error: The operation is not supported on the object."

  I'm building packages of our internal software products using EPM, and over time these packages (of which we have a large number) clutter up the output of pkg_delete and pkg_add with the following general kind of messages: err: pkg_add: package MYPACKAGE has no origin recorded I can see from some old FreeBSD lists that the +CONTENTS file in the package must have a line like this: @comment ORIGIN:some_source_path What I don't see is a way to get this line in place using EPM. Can somebody tell me how to do this?

• RHEL 5.3 Kickstart - How specify location of individual package in Workstation folder?

  I keep getting "package does not exist" errors during the install. I made a kickstart ISO to create an unattended install of a RHEL 5.3 build machine for C++ software releases. It pulls the kickstart config file from our internal web server. This is handy; it makes it easy to test and modify without having to make a new ISO. And I plan to check it in to version control if I can get it working. Anyway, the rpm packages are located in two folders on the disk; Client and Workstation. The packages install fine for the ones that are physically located under the Client folder. It cannot find those under the Workstation folder such as as doxygen and subversion complaining that packages do not exist.   Everything works as expected but I would like to improve the directory structure that the .zip produces. When I create a deployment package I have it create in a custom directory which works fine but the .zip it creates is in the structure of: content/c_c/users/pcName/documents/VS2010/Projects/ProjectName/obj/release/package/packageTmp Only in the packageTmp directory do I get to the files I want! Is there a way for the created zip to not include all of those empty directories?

• Bluetooth DUN Tethering fails

  I have an HTC Desire HD, with Android Froyo (2.2) and PDANet installed. I am using Ubuntu 10.10. I cannot tether it over Bluetooth either with Network Manager or BlueMan. (note, I installed Blueman only after failing with NetWork manager, and I even tried the last version from the PPA). With both my device is discovered, paired, setup. But connecting always fail. • Unable to install Konstruktor program

  I've recently switched to Linux, having a good knowledge of how it works before switching, since I've had experience working with Ubuntu-based servers for several months. I've been trying to install a LEGO CAD program that I have found based on an open source library. Information on that is here. The program I'm looking at is called Konstruktor, and for the most part it should be working. One dependency however does not seem to be able to install. The missing dependency is "kdelibs5", which I know what it is and what it's for, but can't get it to install. I tried the package "kdelibs5-dev", which installed fine, but "kdelibs5" won't, and Konstruktor still won't install. I am on Ubuntu 13.10 with GNOME shell on amd64 architecture. • Ubuntu Software Center will not load and cannot be removed

  My Ubuntu Software Center has stopped working and I have been trying to uninstall/re-install it. This is the error that I repeatedly keep receiving: drew@drew-Aspire-5750:~$ sudo apt-get remove software-center [sudo] password for drew: Reading package lists... Error!
