  I have a quick, newbie question... I just started looking through authrozation services and Apple's BetterAuthorizationSample... for some reason, I just can't get the hang of it. For example... I deleted the HelperTool and InstallTool and SampleTool.c and all references, but why does the program seem to continue work like nothing happened at all even after a clean build? Even commenting out all the code in SampleTOol.c doesn't seem to affect the way the program runs? Thanks

• I am currently serving my static files in Django. How do I use Apache2 to do this?

  In a module residing inside a package, i have the need to use a function defined within the __init__.py of that package. how can i import the package within the module that resides within the package, so i can use that function? Importing __init__ inside the module will not import the package, but instead a module named __init__, leading to two copies of things with different names... Is there a pythonic way to do this?

Supposing that I'm using nginx as front end to apache mod_wsgi. UPDATE: I'm comparing django built in fastcgi(./manage.py method=threaded maxchildren=15) and mod_wsgi in 'daemon' mode(WSGIDaemonProcess example threads=15).   Hi, I'm a newbie to the world of ANN. I'm aware of the Gradient Desecent Rule and the Backpropagation Theorem. What I don't get is , when is using a bias important? For example, when mapping the AND function, when i use 2 inputs and 1 output, it does not give the correct weights, however , when i use 3 inputs(1 of which is a bias), it gives the correct weights.

  Say I'm writing a Django app, and all the templates in the app require a certain variable. The "classic" way to deal with this, afaik, is to write a context processor and add it to TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS in the settings.py. My question is, is this the right way to do it, considering that apps are supposed to be "independent" from the actual project using them? In other words, when deploying that app to a new project, is there any way to avoid the project having to explicitly mess around with its settings?

• Is it possible to have all "git diff" commands use the "Python diff", in all git projects?

  When including the line *.py diff=python in a local .gitattributes file, git diff produces nice labels for the different diff hunks of Python files (with the name of the function where the lines changed take place, etc.). Is is possible to ask git to use this diff mode for all Python files across all git projects? I tried to set a global ~/.gitattributes, but it is not used by local git repositories. Is there a more convenient method than initializing each new git project with a ln -s ~/.gitattributes?
