    The main requirements are: open source solution on Linux support P2P VoIP calls support presence support multicast VoIP announcements (and maybe some way of setting up such a "conference") preferably serverless (maybe the network can get split and I'd need to keep the functionality for all clients that still see each other) I tried looking at telepathy, in particular telepathy-salut, but it seems to be quite a new technology, so it lacks clear/good documentation and/or working examples. I'm also evaluating SIP (e.g. SofiaSIP), but it's working only if connected to a server.

    I'm currently reading a regularly updated XML file with PHP (simpleXML). I'd like to reduce calls to the remote server by reading a cache file on my web server, then after some time, retrieving a new copy of the remote file. Is this an accepted practice for reading remote XML files, then parsing? Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to go about this in PHP, or perhaps there are some PEAR classes that deal with this?

We are sending FaultContract on the wire in case of exception is caught with the WCF Service Code. We are facing following problem as: A. If we have Synconized proxy call (in case of Window or Web Client), we are able to catch the Fault Contract. B. If we are using Silverlight Client which uses Asyncronized calls, we are unable to catch the Fault Contract. We need help on later problem (B.), Thanks in advance

    Hello, I'm working with some existing code uses an objectDataSource and that calls a sort method inside a DLL that I don't have access to. I'm trying to add a custom field to sort and I basically want to re-sort after the initial sort. I don't know if this can be done but before the GridView is displayed, I need to intercept the code and sort the way I want to sort. Any ideas? I'm lost.

    When building gtk2hs-buildtools with ghc 7.4.2, I get the following warning: c2hs/toplevel/C2HSConfig.hs:110:1: Warning: newtype `CInt' is used in an FFI declaration, but its constructor is not in scope. This will become an error in GHC 7.6.1. When checking declaration: foreign import ccall safe "static bitfield_direction" bitfield_direction :: CInt I get similar warnings with FFI calls, even though I have import Foreign.C.Types(CInt). What is the correct way of getting rid of this warning?

  • Losing context from JQuery post with ASP.Net MVC

    I have a JQuery dialog box on a page that calls something like this: $.post("/MyController/MyAction", { myKey: key} //... And this successfully gets here: [HttpPost] public ActionResult MyAction(int myKey) { //do some stuff return RedirectToAction("AnotherAction"); } The problem is that the RedirectToAction has no effect on the webbrowser. I am guessing this is because the JQuery post is kinda on a different 'tread' so it doesn't know where to send the response? How do I get the browser to load the new response?

The problem is, when the dispatcher tries to call this handler, it loses it's original context. How can I bind the handler with the context of the object that calls the attach function without passing this as an argument and using that?

    I was wondering, is the size() method that you can call on a existing ArrayList<T> cached? Or is it preferable in performance critical code that I just store the size() in a local int? I would expect that it is indeed cached, when you don't add/remove items between calls to size(). Am I right?

When first stepping through my code (which calls this dll's class and method), I get an error (runtime of course) stating that the source cannot be found and if I want to step through disassembly. Easy enough. But what if the response from the PHP file takes a second or two and the user clicks the button rapidly? Then the result handler function may not get called every time, since the call responder gets a new token before it received the last response. Is there a standard way of resolving this issue? I came up with the following workaround, and it works fine, but it seems like this issue would be common enough to have a more built-in solution.     I have this script that calls a .net WebService msg = $.toJSON( $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://[url]/ETS.UI/WebServices/LocationService.asmx/GetMappingLocationDetails", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: $.toJSON({'componentId':994}), dataType: "json", async: false }).responseText ); And I recieve the following value in the msg variable: ""{\"d\":\"{\\"ComponentId\\":994,\\"Latitude\\":32.219627009236405,\\"Longitude\\":-110.96843719482422,\\"LocationName\\":\\"Tucson\\",\\"StreetAddress\\":\\"7201 E 22nd Street \\",\\"City\\":\\"Tucson\\",\\"State\\":\\"AZ\\",\\"PostalCode\\":null}\"}"" I have no idea why this would format this way, seems to only do this in responseText. Does anyone have any ideas?
