  • "ResolveAssemblyReference" task fails and System.BadImageFormatException, but assembly isn't used an

    I am getting an error about the assembly "C:\Ora10g\bin\Zip.exe". The trouble is this solution does NOT use anything in Oracle at all. I could not find a single reference to 10g anywhere in the project. I inherited this from another person who left our group. He never had this issue. Another member of my team said he got this before but reinstalling the client portion of 10g fixed it. No such luck there. I even tried using WinGrep to search the entire solution folder for "Ora10g" but it wasn't there. Any ideas? I can't build this solution until I can figure out how to get rid of this false reference to Oracle. VS 2005 solution. Contains a couple WinForm apps, a couple class libraries, and a web service. The error occurs in the main class library project. Here is the error message: Error 1 The "ResolveAssemblyReference" task failed unexpectedly. System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'C:\Ora10g\bin\Zip.exe' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest. When I try to add reference to my business layer assembly in the Silverlight 2 project (VS2008); It gets rejected, because it's not a Silverlight assembly. Is their a way to include and reference a non-Silverlight assembly in a Silverlight app?

  • What is this obscure error in Google Analytics tracking code on a _trackEvent() call?

    I am calling the Google Analytics _trackEvent() function on a web page, and get back an error from the obfuscated Google code. In Firebug, it comes back "q is undefined". In Safari developer console: "TypeError: Result of expression 'q' [undefined] is not an object." As a test, I have reduced the page to only this call, and still get the error back. Besides the necessary elements and the standard Google tracking code, my page is: <script> pageTracker._trackEvent('Survey', 'Checkout - Survey', 'Rating', 3); </script> Results is that error. What's going on here?

  • Environment variables get lost between MSBuild projects

    Hi, I have a .NET solution containing following projects: web application (WAP) web deployment (WDP, .wdproj) wix setup (WIX, .wixproj) In the WDP I've used a custom MSBuild task (SetEnvVar) to set some env. variables for further use in the build process. After setting them I can use them without prob. in the WDP but in the WIX they are empty/undefined. The strange thing is that when I reference those env. vars in the WIX files (by using properties in .wxs or preproc vars in .wxi) I get the values as expected. Do you have any idea why the env. vars get lost/are undefined in .wixproj? By the way the (solution) build process is triggered from inside VS 2010.

In IE6 and IE7, I see the following two alerts: Data in: (52,16),(100,90) After if: undefined undefined The "Data in" alert matches in all browsers. Any ideas?

If I assign an object that implements IDisposable to a weak reference, will Dispose be called if the weak reference collects the object?

    I have put the attribute [FaultContract(typeof(ExceptionDetail))] for my operation contract. When I am trying to add the service th' a client app, I get this error - "Custom tool error: Failed to generate code for the service reference 'ServiceReference1'. Please check other error and warning messages for details." But when I comment out the FaultContract Attribute, I am able to add the wcf service reference th' my client app. Would appreciate if somebody can help me solve this mystery. Thanks

    In Ruby 1.9.1 strings are no longer enumerable and string.each is undefined. This causes a problem when parsing values for an array of generated checkboxes since the field value, when submitted, becomes an array of strings. For example: <% for map in Map.find(:all) %> <%= check_box_tag "listing[map_ids][]", map.id %> <%= map.title %> <% end %> This will result in an error, undefined method `each' for "1":String, in process_parameter_filter because map_ids is being passed as "map_ids"=["1","2"] (if checkboxes with values 1 and 2 have been checked that is). What is the recommended way to fix this?

    I am creating a class with custom slots in Qt: class CustomEdit : public QTextEdit { Q_OBJECT public: CustomEdit(QWidget* parent); public slots: void onTextChanged (); }; However, I'm getting thise linker error: undefined reference to 'vtable for CustomEdit' The documentation says: if you get compiler errors along the lines of "undefined reference to vtable for LcdNumber", you have probably forgotten to run the moc or to include the moc output in the link command. ... but it is not obvious what that means. Is there something I need to add to my class, or to the .pro file?

    Hi, I have two, third party assemblies: Foo.dll and ReferencesFoo.dll As noted, ReferencesFoo.dll is an assembly that has a reference to Foo.dll For my application, I need to resign these assemblies. I use ildasm/ilasm in combination along with a signing key to resign them, however, ReferencesFoo.dll still contains (in it's manifest?) the reference to the Foo.dll old public key and public key token. So, how do I sign both dll's with my key, and update the references in ReferencesFoo.dll without getting the source code and recompiling?
