  • Can you iterate over chunks() with request.POST in Django?

    I'm trying to optimize a site I'm building with Django/Flash and am having a problem using Django's iterate over chunks() feature. I'm sending an image from Flash to Django using request.POST data rather than through a form (using request.FILES). The problem I foresee is that if there is large user volume, I could potentially kill memory. But it seems that Django only allows iterating over chunks with request.FILES. Is there a way to: 1) wrap my request.POST data into a request.FILES (thus spoofing Django) or 2) use chunks() with request.POST data

    I have one flash player , which have full-screen functionality . which is not working in FF and MAC Chrome . and throws an error as below.   • Im having trouble getting SWFUplader to play ball in my codeigniter application

    I have this peice of code in my handler.js, I'm getting the correct serverData value throught ajax, ( Well it's echoed correctly un the alert box) but no matter what, i just cant seem to enter either of the 'if' blocks. I have double checked the type and it is a string.     How to I get my security policy working? My parent swf parses an XML doc and loads 2 children. It throws a 2148 security error, and only works in the Flash IDE. PARENT SWF flash.system.Security.loadPolicyFile("crossdomain.xml"); I've referenced my security file from my swf. I Also published my parent swf as 'network only' and put all the crossdomain.xml and everything else in the same folder. I need to click on the animations and have them place from a local computer at a kiosk. Any suggestions?   • Need to dynamically-generate a "sticky note" text

    Working on a website that has an image of a sticky note which will change text somewhat frequently (every month or so) as new "todo" items are created on it. Font I'm currently using is not Web Safe and the text is slightly angled to match the skew of the sticky note as well. Now I'm a pragmatist, and in situations like this I would normally secede defeat and opt for something more CSS/HTML practical. But no more! I'm falling a bit behind on what's going on with HTML5, CSS3, PNG graphics, Flash (ugh), and/or any other rich visuals. I'm decent with PHP/CSS/JS (jquery), have dabbled in Flash/actionscript too. My question is: what tools/method should I be looking at here?

  • how can I get jquery.sIFR plugin to display sIFR-alternate text for print?

    I'm struggling with this. I've used the jquery sIFR plugin as opposed to sIFR it prevented conflicts with other jquery I am using on my pages. It works fine in its prime function: replacing html text with Flash. However, the .sIFR-alternate class is given an inline style of 'opacity: 0' which persists when flashblock is on. So alternate text does not appear. Neither does it appear when printng the page (yes I have included styles for sIFR-print). I've tried replacing the opacity:0 inline style with display: none but this causes height issues with the output flash. Any one else had this or have any ideas?

  • Getting Emacs ansi-term and Zsh to play nicely

    I've been trying to use Zsh within my emacs session, without emacs remapping all the Zsh keys. I found ansi-term works pretty well for this but, I'm still having some problems. I was getting lots of junk characters outputted with, I was able to fix it with: ## Setup proper term information for emacs ansi-term mode [[ $TERM == eterm-color ]] && export TERM=xterm But everything still doesn't work perfectly. Now I am having trouble with output being drawn offscreen , especially when using something like C-r for search. Any thoughts. Anyone else have Zsh + Ansi-term working properly?

  • Safari 4.0.5 will not play any HTML5 (H.264) video

    The html5test.com tells me that my browser does not support the <video> element, and when I try example page, I get the fallback message, usually "Your browser does not support HTML5 video." I know this should work in Safari. I am on Windows 7, 64-bit (running 32-bit Safari). Video works in Safari for everyone else in the office. (Windows 7 setup exactly like mine, Vista, OSX.) I have tries uninstalling, deleting all user preferences, and reinstalling. Anything else I should try?

    I need to model Owners and Rentees in an application, so you have stuff that is always owned by someone and can be rented for someone else. I first approached this problem with Single Table Inheritance because both types of person will share all attributes, so you would have a model called Person associated to a table people with Owner and Rentee inheriting from Person. The problem is that Single type inheritance discerns subtypes using a field type and therefore a record in the table can represent either an Owner or a Rentee but not both at the same time, while in the real context you can have an Owner which is renting something from another Owner and therefore that person is at the same time an Owner and a Rentee. How would you approach this problem? Would you use separated tables fro owners and rentees? Is there any other type of table inheritance in Rails?

    Hello, First, excuse my english :) I've read on apple developer website that video playback provides by the framework supports only full screen mode. I will need to develop an application where video can be played in reduce screen mode. I've see that Orange TV make something which looks like what i need to do. http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/1228/tvplayerorange.jpg The application is available on app store but you need to have a subscription to test this application. Whatever, to resume it, we can see video (tv stream video) in a reduce mode and if we click on the screen it switch to a full screen mode. So my question, what i want to do is possible (Orange TV made it) but i wonder the difficulty to make it. It seems that I have to make a video player. If it take a bunch of time, I tkink I will use Media Player Framework of iPhone even isn't the optimal solution for me. Feel free to ask me more details ;) Thank you for your answers.

    The title suggests that i've already an idea what's going on, but i cannot explain it. I've tried to order a List<string[]> dynamically by each "column", beginning with the first and ending with the minimum Length of all arrays. So in this sample it is 2, because the last string[] has only two elements: List<string[]> someValues = new List<string[]>(); someValues.Add(new[] { "c", "3", "b" }); someValues.Add(new[] { "a", "1", "d" }); someValues.Add(new[] { "d", "4", "a" }); someValues.Add(new[] { "b", "2" }); Now i've tried to order all by the first and second column. I could do it statically in this way: someValues = someValues .OrderBy(t => t[0]) .ThenBy(t => t[1]) .ToList(); But if i don't know the number of "columns" i could use this loop(that's what I thought): int minDim = someValues.Min(t => t.GetLength(0)); // 2 IOrderedEnumerable<string[]> orderedValues = someValues.OrderBy(t => t[0]); for (int i = 1; i < minDim; i++) { orderedValues = orderedValues.ThenBy(t => t[i]); } someValues = orderedValues.ToList(); // IndexOutOfRangeException But that doesn't work, it fails with an IndexOutOfRangeException at the last line. The debugger tells me that i is 2 at that time, so the for-loop condition seems to be ignored, i is already == minDim. Why is that so?

    For an internship, I'm gonna have to develop a desktop application. The focus is creating a rich UI ( cool effects, sound etc ). Which tech should I go with ? - Flash ? ( in this case, shoud I go with a flex project ? AIR ? what is the gain between this and a simple raw flash project ) - C#/Silverlight ? Any other possibility ?     I want to develop a program that will run on the background of my Ubuntu 12.04 so when some text is selected in some textbox of any running program and some key-combination is pressed (like ctrl-F12), the text will be cut, reversed, and pasted in the same place. I know some programs that do it on windows. It is useful in some programs and web-pages that do not support right-to-left languages like arabic and hebrew - the letters are printed from left to right so the text becomes reversed. More specifically I need it in Prezi that has this kind of bug in their embedded flash editor (I thought about writing a chrome-plugin, but I don't think such plugin can manipulate the selected text inside a flash objects). Do you know if such a program exist? Where should I start reading in order to develop a program with such capabilities (manipulate selected text in other programs)? Thanks
