• undefined reference errors in C++

  I have files Record.h and Record.cpp. When I just include the Record.h file, I get several undefined reference errors to functions defined in those files. When I also include Record.cpp then the errors go away. Why is that? Record.h has the forward declarations for the functions it says are an undefined reference.

My question is: is there any advantage in coding against the JPA or JDO specs instead of accessing directly the low level api for datastore ?   I have a table with 42 million records. 32 million have a null value and I would like to generate a new guid for each one. Should I do this in batches? Also, going forward, I would like a new guid added to the field on the insert of a new record. What is the best way to do this?   Is it possible to either use the System.IO.Path class, or some similar object to format a unix style path, providing similar functionality to the PATH class? For example, I can do: Console.WriteLine(Path.Combine("c:\\", "windows")); Which shows: "C:\\windows" But is I try a similar thing with forward slashes (/) it just reverses them for me. Console.WriteLine(Path.Combine("/server", "mydir")); Which shows: "/server\\mydir"

• Simple way to play a single frequency in java?

  I just want to play a very simple, straight forward note by giving my computer a certain frequency as an integer, and from there I can figure out how to make it play the note longer or shorter. It does not necessarily have to come out of the actual sound card - if it's generated and output by the internal speaker that's okay. I looked at the midi libraries that java has included, and they are way more than what I want to do. This just needs to be very basic.

  I'd like to do the following with Python: Computer 1 starts SSH server (probably using twisted or paramiko) Computer 1 connects to Server 1 (idle connection) Computer 2 connects to Server 1 Server 1 forwards Computer 2's connection to Computer 1 (connection no longer idle) Computer 1 forwards Server 1's connection to listening SSH port (on computer 1) Result being Computer 2 now has a SSH session with Computer 1, almost as if Computer 2 had started a normal SSH session (but with Server 1's IP instead of Computer 1's) I need this because I can't port forward on Computer 1's network (the router doesn't support it).
