  I have a table like the one below. How can I get Excel to put borders around groups with the same number in the 4th column so that there is a border around the groups. I was thinking conditional formatting could do it but I can't think how. So I think the only option is a macro. What I have to do is to generate a XML-string (that works) an save that directly into a file on an sftp-server. So far, so good... I used the following code with ftp and it works to, but not with ftps. So I either need another options-configuration for the stream or a different way to solve that task.   My userscript has the following code var scrpt=document.getElementsByTagName('script'); i included this to know the number of scripts of each page i access. This works fine with some websites but for some sites i am not getting all the scripts present. I installed the user script in both firefox and chrome the issue is the number of scripts for the same site is different in both browsers. For example when i access this link Help extracting text from html tag with Java and Regex i am getting the number of scripts in firefox as:17 and in chrome as:15 but when i view the page source there are 22 script tags Please help me to slove the problem. I even tried document.scripts but still i get the same result.

However, that code will not give any output and just keeps waiting in the tun.stdout. When I kill the newtunnel process externally, it flushes all the data to tun.stdout. So it seems that I can't get any data from the tun.stdout while it is still running. Why is that? How can I get the information? Note that the default bufsize for Popen is 0 (unbuffered). I can also specify bufsize=0 but that doesn't change anything.

  Hi, I've got a collection of object which contains data as follows: FromTime Duration 2010-12-28 24.0000 2010-12-29 24.0000 2010-12-30 24.0000 2010-12-31 22.0000 2011-01-02 1.9167 2011-01-03 24.0000 2011-01-04 24.0000 2011-01-05 24.0000 2011-01-06 24.0000 2011-01-07 22.0000 2011-01-09 1.9167 2011-01-10 24.0000 In the "FromTime" column, there are data "gaps" i.e. 2011-01-01 and 2011-01-08 are "missing". So what I'd like to do is to loop through a range of dates (in this instance 2010-12-28 to 2011-01-10) and "fill in" the "missing" data with a duration of 0. As I've just started with LINQ, I feel that it should be "fairly" easy but I can't quite get it right. I'm reading the book "LINQ in Action" but feel that I'm still quite a way off before I can resolve this particular issue. So any help would be much appreciated. David

  I have a strange layout for an ItemsControl. I have a 4x6 grid with the following pattern: 1 2 3 4 13 14 15 16 5 6 7 8 17 18 19 20 9 10 11 12 21 22 23 24 Is there an easy way to do this? should I be using 6 Items Controls and take "sections" of my list? is there a good way to do this? What about notification? It's important to note that I may, or may not, have all 24 entries present, but the layout needs to be maintained (think of it like filled slots on a bingo card or something)

• How to very efficiently assign lat/long to city boundary described by shape ?

  I have a huge shapefile of 36.000 non-overlapping polygones (city boundaries). I want to easily determine the polygone into which a given lat/long falls. What would the best way given that it must be extremely computationaly efficient ? I was thinking of creating a lookup table (tilex,tiley,polygone_id) where tilex and tiley are tile identifiers at zoom levels 21 or 22. Yes, the lack of precision of using tile numbers and a planar projection is acceptable in my application. I would rather not use postgres's GIS extension and am fine with a program that will run for 2 days to generate all the INSERT statements.

• Vertically align UILabel

  I am trying to vertically align the text in the UILabel view of my app. The problem is that I want the text to be vertically aligned to the top and the size of the label to be 280 x 150. I am only able to achieve one of these 2 things. If I remove the line [myLabel sizeToFit]; then the alignment of the text is alright but the size is messed up. But if I add the above line, then the alignment is messed up but the size is alright. How do I fix this problem. • Getting data from JFrame AFTER the form is filled

  I'm trying to get data for my application from a form set in an external window (getDataWindow extends javax.swing.JFrame). The problem is that functions are executed before form is filled in. getDataWindow dataW=new getDataWindow(); dataW.setVisible(true); size=dataW.returnSize(); I've tried also adding additional boolean variable to getDataWindow getDataWindow dataW=new getDataWindow(); dataW.setVisible(true); while(!dataW.checkIfReady()){wait();} size=dataW.returnSize(); But it makes also the window wait (it appears but it's black inside and nothing happens). I think i should create some threads for that - I've tried to call a window making function getDataWindow in java.awt.EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable()) but I had to initialize dataW earlier so dataW.checkIfReady() could be called, so it is a catch 22.

• Starting socket server in ruby on rails on cloud environments (heroku)

  Hi, I'm using heroku, and I can push a Ruby on Rails app just fine, I'm trying to convert this to a Socket server, basically I would need to bind to an open port, in this case, I know Heroku only does 80 22 and 443. Is it possible to bind to port 80 on those environments? Also, how would I setup the entry point for this socket server, all I know is that when script/server it boots up the app. Do I have to put the function call there? How can a socket server start instead of the rails app on top of whatever webserver heroku has.

I am new to image processing and I think in this case p_value is 25 and around 25 that are many pixel values in that range but don't exactly know to construct a convolution filter out of it.

• what changes when your input is giga/terabyte sized?

  I just took my first baby step today into real scientific computing today when I was shown a data set where the smallest file is 48000 fields by 1600 rows (haplotypes for several people, for chromosome 22). And this is considered tiny. I write Python, so I've spent the last few hours reading about HDF5, and Numpy, and PyTable, but I still feel like I'm not really grokking what a terabyte-sized data set actually means for me as a programmer. For example, someone pointed out that with larger data sets, it becomes impossible to read the whole thing into memory, not because the machine has insufficient RAM, but because the architecture has insufficient address space! It blew my mind. What other assumptions have I been relying in the classroom that just don't work with input this big? What kinds of things do I need to start doing or thinking about differently? (This doesn't have to be Python specific.)

  I have two identically-sized numpy.array objects (both one-dimensional), one of which contains a list of starting index positions, and the other of which contains a list of ending index positions (alternatively you could say I have a list of starting positions and window lengths). In case it matters, the slices formed by the starting and ending positions are guaranteed to be non-overlapping. I am trying to figure out how to use these starting and ending positions to form an index for another array object, without having to use a loop.
