    When i request a page using browser / AJAX request i see lot of spaces and newlines which i think must be adding some overhead for retrieving the response as they too belong to characters means bytes and size. right ? Is there some way it can be removed while sending from the server ? how ? (I am using IIS and asp.net for development)

  • Cocoa: NSOpenPanel Threads

    I am monitoring my application using Activity Monitor and whenever NSOpenPanel is called the application appears as having 9 threads and stays like that until the application is closed. Is there a way to release those threads?, Or am I simply misunderstanding what the threads number means?, surely it isn't a good thing to have them open for no reason. Any help would be appreciated

I've read somewehre that I might need a virtual path to the image folder but I am not really sure what that means as my chart is embedded in the report....Maybe I am missing something. If we instead declare a dynamic array var Arr: array of MyType and later allocate N - 1 elements by means of SetLength(Arr, N - 1) then the elements will be indexed from 0 to N - 2. Is it possible to make them indexed from 2 to N (say) instead?

    I have a list which I shuffle with the Python built in shuffle function (random.shuffle) However, the Python reference states: Note that for even rather small len(x), the total number of permutations of x is larger than the period of most random number generators; this implies that most permutations of a long sequence can never be generated. Now, I wonder what this "rather small len(x)" means. 100, 1000, 10000,... Can anybody clarify? Thanks!

    Hi, I try to use the SQL statement SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY column via an PDO-Object in PHP. Problem is, that I always get an error (Call to a member function fetchall() on a non-object - that means, the query did not return a PDO-object) when using the names of all columnname EXCEPT for ID. When I query SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY ID it works. ID is the PRIMARY INTEGER KEY, all other columns are TEXT or NUMERIC, neither of them would works with the ORDER BY clause. Any ideas?
