• Why do I get so many errors building my Android project with Ant?

  Now that I sort of know my way around the SDK/API, I've switched from Eclipse back to my favorite text editor, which means I have to use ant to build my project, however: It seems every other time I compile the project, a lot of drawables get corrupted, resources lose their ids (resulting in NPEs in the code), or classes throw "Verify Errors". The only way to fix this is by removing the bin and gen folders, and recompiling, which is obviously annoying. Is there any way to avoid this? btw, I'm using ant 1.7.1, java version "1.6.0_20"

I would like to know, in terms an idiot can understand, exactly what application lifetime means in ASP.NET (and therefore when you can expect application start and end events to run). What's the best way for me to get the string back?   I am using Subversion with some files that are managed by another application. I would like to rename the files, but the rename must be done from within the application so that it correctly updates its own metadata. This means that I cannot simply use SVN's rename command — the application's metadata will become inconsistent. So how can I can I tell SVN that the files in the working copy have been renamed by this application, so that it preserves history in the same way as per the rename command?

  When I type in Borland C++,it types over the line,not on a new one.That means that every time I press enter,it doesn't give me a fresh,new,empty line in which to type but goes to the one underneath. And there when I try to type I expect the symbols,numbers and letters to move as I add text behind them in the line,but the new symbols keep overwriting the old ones.Sort of deleting them and replacing them with the new characters as I type. Could it be some kinda option I've activated unvoluntarily?

  I have an ajax app that will run functions on every interaction. I'd like to be able to run my setup function each time so all my setup code for that function remains encapsulated. However, binding elements more than once means that the handler will run more than once, which is obviously undesirable. Is there an elegant way in jQuery to call bind on an element more than once without the handler being called more than once?

I would like to be able to execute a criteria query where I select only responses submitted by teachers - so this means putting a class restriction on an associated entity. Any ideas on this?   All of the NHibernate examples I've see that use hbm files have the hbm.xml file set as an embedded resource with "do not copy" chosen in the file properties. This means that if a database column name were to change in production, the app would have to be recompiled with the changes in the hbm.xml file during build time. Is there any way to make NHibernate load the hbm.xml files from the file system at application startup instead of using an embedded version?

• Is it possible to profile CPU / memory inside an Adobe AIR application?

  Couldn`t find any ActionScript native APIs even in the beta documentation, am I right supposing that this means the only way to measure CPU / memory consumption is by cooking up a custom native solution, hooking it up with AIR and making it work on each targeted platform? Basically the aim is to be able to have this information available inside AIR and not having to use an external application for profiling, not even Flex / Flash builder.
