  • .net, using PowerShell class to invoke a "[namespace.class]::method" style command

    Hello, I created a powershell object via .net to invoke commands. When I invoke normal commands like 'Get-Process' I had no problems: ps.AddCommand("Get-Process").AddParameter(...).Invoke() but I'm not able to invoke a .net method with the syntax "[namespace.class]::method", just to make an example to invoke [System.IO.File]::Exists("c:\boo.txt"). I tried with ps.AddCommand("[System.IO.File]::Exists(\"c:\boo.txt\")").Invoke() ps.AddCommand("[System.IO.File]::Exists").AddArgument("c:\boo.txt\").Invoke() and some others. It always throws an exception which says that the command specified is not recognized. There is a way to invoke that type of command? Thanks

I want to use hs-dotnet to bridge both worlds, the author claim that it's possible, but provide no sample of this case. The only samples provided are the one to use .net from haskell.     I use SPs and this isn't an SP vs code-behind "Build your SQL command" question. I'm looking for a high-throughput method for a backend app that handles many small transactions. I use SQLDataReader for most of the returns since forward only works in most cases for me. I've seen it done many ways, and used most of them myself. Methods that define and accept the stored procedure parameters as parameters themselves and build using cmd.Parameters.Add (with or without specifying the DB value type and/or length) Assembling your SP params and their values into an array or hashtable, then passing to a more abstract method that parses the collection and then runs cmd.Parameters.Add Classes that represent tables, initializing the class upon need, setting the public properties that represent the table fields, and calling methods like Save, Load, etc I'm sure there are others I've seen but can't think of at the moment as well. I'm open to all suggestions.

I downloaded a PHP proxy script from the Yahoo Developer site, ran it from command line and verified that it receives the XML from the server with a GET request. Now, I'm trying to connect to the PHP script within JS with no results. I have the following: <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.4.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $.ajax({ type:"GET", url:"proxy.php", dataType:"html", success:function(msg){ alert(msg); } }); </script> What this does, though, is to output the source of the PHP script in the alert box, not the XML! Now I want to add a methos inside IDemo. But the "Add Method Wizard" does not allow me to add out/retval type of parameters to the method. I can add in type of parameters.   • In Django, why is user.is_authenticated a method and not a member variable like is_staff

    Hello all, I've lost some time with a bug in my app due to user authentication. I think that it's a bit confusing but maybe someone can explain the reason and it will appear to me very logical. The user.is_staff is a member variable while user.is_authenticated is a method. However is_authenticated only returns True or False depending if the class is User or AnonymousUser (see http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/auth/) Is there a reason for that? Why user.is_authenticated is a method? Thanks in advance

I dont want the request to be received by the tomcat server and process it. For performance based concerns i want this request to be handled at apache level. with all the research i was still unable to get this to run; RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} OPTIONS RewriteRule .* - [R=200m] can somebody assist me with what rewrite rule should be there? or is there an alternative to RewriteEngine? Please Wait"; } What I want to do is when the app has finsihed loading I want to change the preloaders text to "configuring". Then I want to go and do a bunch of setup stuff in my code. Once I've done all the setup I wanted how can I get the Preloader to dispatch its Event.complete from else where in my code? I tried Application.application.preloader but it comes up null. So I guess my question really is how to access a preloader from anywhere in my application. Would a better approach be to have all setup classes as members of my preloader class?

Maybe it's bad design and I should subclass the dict object, but then it only works on the subclasses and I want it to work on any and all future dictionaries. If it's in mycode.js, it's not. Every code example I've see seems to says this should work. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi, I'm trying to produce a master/detail datagrid view. I'm using object data providers. Can I still somehow use the object data provider to return all the records from the database for the detail view if the argument passed to a method has to be an int?     Possible Duplicate: Imaging new hard drive in Windows 7 laptop? I have to image my 320gb Laptop HDD before I send it in for repairs. The HDD is likely going to get replaced, and I would ideally like to be able to restore everything as I have it now without having to reinstall my OSes, programs and place all my files back again. I can make space on an external HDD I have, so am just looking for how I should go about this. Should I just use dd with a linux rescue cd? Or is there perhaps a more suitable program with its own rescue disk?

  • Phonegap / jquery mobile slide transition not workign properly on first call

I want nice transition when changing pages on the app. Unfortunately first time i change to another page, Instead of sliding current pagg out and new page in , current page is immediately replaces by the new page, then slides out... and when it's out of view it's the new page is shown... the second time around it works like a charm though !!!     All, When we are passing an expression as a parameter, how does the evaluation occur? Here is a small example. This is just a pseudocode kind of example: f (x,y) { y = y+1; x = x+y; } main() { a = 2; b = 2; f(a+b, a) print a; } When accessing variable x in f, does it access the address of the temp variable which contains the result of a+b or will it access the individual addresses of a and b and then evaluate the value of a+b Please help.   • How to call a javascript function from one frame to another in Chrome/Webkit

    I have developped an application that has a list of items in one frame; when one clicks on an item it does something in another frame (loads an image). This used to work fine in all browsers, including Chrome 3; now it still works fine in FF but in recent versions of Chrome (I believe since 4) it throws this error: Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL (...) from frame with URL (...). Domains, protocols and ports must match. This is obviously a security "feature" but is it possible to get around it? Here is a simple test: index.html: <html> <frameset> <frame src="left.html" name="left"/> <frame src="right.html" name="right"/> </frameset> </html> left.html: <html> <body> <a href="javascript:parent.right.test('hello');">click me</a> </body> </html> right.html: <html> <body> <script> function test(msg) { alert(msg); } </script> </body> </html> The above works in FF 3.6 and Chrome 3 but in Chrome 5 it throws the above error...
