  • Mapi session exceeds maximum count of type objtMessage

    one client (it's allways the same client) has often problems with mapi sessions killed by the exchange server. The Application Eventlog on the exchange logs eventid 9646 with source MSExchangeIS: Die MAPI-Sitzung '/o=xx/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=xxxx' hat die maximal zulässige Anzahl von 250 Objekten vom Typ 'objtMessage' überschritten. The client has no eventlogs logged about this error. I looked for installed Outlook Add-Ins and found the default add-ins from microsoft, an adobe pdf add-in (which I deactivated because it's not needed) and an "Octopus" plugin from telekom. Octopus is a CTI-application that connects to Outlook. My guess is, that Octopus (or its add-in) causes this error because this client has over 1100 contacts. My question is: how can I find out, which application/add-in causes this problem? Edit: I already looked at eventid.net but nothing helped. Edit2: Exchange-Cache-Mode is not used nor are there any shared folders / mailboxes open.

  • Improper output in SSH session on OSX using FreeSSHd on Windows with cygwin bash/sh shell

    I am testing out running an SSH server on a local Windows VM. I have installed FreeSSHd and set the command shell to "c:\cygwin\bin\sh --login -i" (bash as well) with "Use new console engine" unchecked.   • Command window missing default 8x12 font

    Installation: Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Service role When I logon locally my command window (cmd.exe) displays with default font that is 8x12. But when I logon remotely and open command window, it opens with the smallest possible font selection. Opening window properties and setting font size, the default 8x12 font is missing from the list. What should I do to get this font back in the list? Following screenshots show settings when logged on locally and remotely.   • Getting HAPROXY to redirect http to https in users browser session

    We are currently using a Internet cloud provider to host our SaaS platform. The platform consists of a Firewall - Cloud Provider SLB - - Apache Web Server - HAPROXY SLB - Liferay Platform We have had to use HAPROXY because of an issue with the cloud providers SLB that meant we were unable to use it for load balancing the Liferay platform applications. I have implemented HAPROXY in our secure tier and that seems to do the trick of load balancing the requests quite adequately. However during testing we encountered a functional issue whereby selecting a sub-menu from the web portal resulted in the application hanging, using an http analyser we saw that the request being passed back to the users browser was in http, from discussing this with the software vendor it transpires that the Liferay application has some hard-coded http links, and that other customers have worked around this by using physical NLB's such as F5 and redirecting the http traffic to https. After started the service I can connet to the machine Log (in EventViewer app) but when i clik on any log as "Application" or "Security" I receive a "privilege" error. Could someone help me, please?

    Here’s what I dream of: I install Windows 7 Home on my parents’ PC. They have a regular user account that they use, meaning they can’t install anything. I have an administrator account, meaning I can install things for them. I install some sort of VNC software on their machine that lets me access their computer remotely under the administrator account, so that I can install software for them (or do other administrator tasks, e.g. updates) without actually going to their house. Is there any VNC or VNC-like software that supports the above? (I guess I might be better off buying them Windows 7 Professional, and using Remote Desktop. At some point I’ll give up and get them an iPad, but for now, remote Windows admin is the dream.)

    I have a Linux Ubuntu desktop at home, ssh enabled, vnc server installed, router rule configured. It all works, and at home I can connect via the local network from my Mac. From the outside I can login via ssh. I've configured putty as follows: session: host name and port number connection ssh tunnel: forwarded ports: L5900|192.168.0.23 the local address is: 192.168.1.45 When I make the connection I can login to the remote machine. Then I open Remote Desktop Viewer. I click connect protocol: vnc host: ? use host as ssh tunnel: ? I don't know what to use for the last two options. Which ip-addresses should I use?

  • Unable to connect to sites using IIS7 Manager

    I'm a developer who has been assigned the task of managing and configuring a new IIS7 instance on a remote server. My domain account has been added as to the local Administrators group on the box, but IIS7 has been configured to accept connections only from accounts with Windows credentials. I've added my domain account to the IIS Manager Permissions for one of my sites, but I'm still unable to connect to either that site, the IIS instance or the server in general from my local machine. There's obviously a missing element to the configuration of this setup but I don't know where to start looking. The event logs on the IIS box show audit failures for my account when trying to connect remote via the IIS7 Manager tool on my local machine. Suggestions gratefully received.

    I am attempting to connect MySQLWorkbench to a remote MySQL Server. The server has granted access to user@IPAddress However, when I try to connect MySQLWorkbench, it sends user@computername instead. How do I configure the connection to use the IP address instead in MySQLWorkbench? Reference: The remote server is on the local network, so I need to use the local IP address assigned to my client. EDIT What I have tried so far: from the server: mysql -u user@IPAddress -p --host=(ServerIPAddress) Returns: mysql> So that tells me the user account is operational. Furthermore, I confirmed it exists using: select user from mysql.user; returning a table of all users, of which the user I am using is present. I have also opened the port 3306: sbin/iptables -A INPUT -i eth0 -s clientIPAddress -p tcp --destination-port3306 -j ACCEPT Still I encounter Access Denied

  • Linux/Gentoo: KDM, startx & session problem

    I'm using startx in my .bashrc file to start X (I'm using KDE 4.3.4) when I login at tty1 instead of using a display manager like KDM. Now the problem is since KDM is not running I'm not able to use the shut down button from the KDE menu (because it needs root privileges to do so, of course) and some other features are gone as well. Is there a way to start KDM when I run startx in my .bashrc, like just running KDM in the background? The point is that I want no login display, so I'm sure there must be a way to just start KDM silently. Regards & I hope for answers!

Since I'm in a select agreement, I've gone into the Volume Licensing Service Center and downloaded the following three ISOs: Office Multilanguage Packs 2007 (DVD) Office Multilanguage Packs 2007 (CD) Office Multilanguage Pack 2007 Service Pack 1 But having mounted the ISOs in my RDS host, I still can't install anything they contain. I am quite probably doing something wrong, or maybe I need to be running Office pro version? please F1

    It is possible to access the Windows Store from a remote desktop session and initiate the Windows 8.1 Update from the Windows Store, but the update hangs after the first reboot, likely waiting for the user to accept the license check. This leaves the computer unusable remotely. Is there a way to pre-accept the license terms so that the update can complete autonomously? Perhaps an UNATTEND.XML such as would be used for an unattended clean install? Failing that, is there a way to connect with remote desktop during that phase of the install (it appears to be GUI-mode setup running with the usual Windows kernel and full OS)?

    I am running Windows 7 at my office and Windows XP at home. I have seen the new Remote Desktop and want to use (I have three monitors at office and three at home) In the specs I saw where in order to use the multimon features you must connect to a Windows 7 client (I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit in my office) When I connect to it (from XP running RDP 7) I can't get all my monitors to come up, just one Is there something I am doing wrong?   • NX Client for Windows 7 Opens Remote Desktop in Multiple Windows

    What I'm trying to do: access my Ubuntu desktop remotely via NX Client on my Windows 7 laptop. My environment: server: Ubuntu 10.10 on AMD 1Ghz/512MB RAM PC client: Windows 7 on ThinkPad sl510 Software: server is running NXServer 3.4.0. Using xfce4 window manager. Laptop is using NXClient for Windows In my NX Client "Desktop" settings I've selected "Unix" and "Custom" for OS and environment. I've also specified "startxfce4" as the application to launch when NX connects. I am able to authenticate an NX session on my laptop. By this I mean, I can start the client on my laptop, enter credentials for my Linux user, and NX establishes a connection to the server and attempts to open a remote desktop window. The problem, though, is that this remote desktop is "fragmented" into many Windows. One window will display the bulk of my desktop (complete with desktop icons for "Home," "File System," and "Trash") while another window will contain the taskbar, and another window will contain the application strip. I can select each of these Windows individually, but I cannot click on any objects within them. I've searched Super User, Ubuntu Forums, NX help, Server Fault, and tried many Google searches - none have turned up another case of this particular problem. I'm stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might try? I'm guessing the problem has to do with my xfce config files, but I've only just setup this server - it's been a long time since I've used Linux and there's a lot I just don't know. What I am NOT trying to do: use Desktop sharing from Ubuntu, whereby I VNC into a desktop that I've already established on the server. I am trying to configure this Linux box as a headless server that I can stash someplace out-of-the-way in my house, then interact with through my laptop. I don't want to have a monitor or keyboard connected to the Linux box. Thanks for your help! edit: 1/19/2011 Well, this is truly bizarre. To my knowledge I've made no changes to either system - the laptop or the server. But today after starting up the server for the first time in a few days, and making sure that nxserver was running, I was able to connect with the nxclient from my laptop with no problems. I have a full desktop in a single window and I am able to interact with it normally. This is really weird, but the problem seems to be resolved.
