• localhost lookup fails, browser tries www.localhost.com instead

  I used to run web applications all the time on my laptop, no problems, I am using VWD 2008 Express, i have the latest framework, Windows Vista Home Basic...etc.. Now, when ever i try to run a website, or even chose to Show a Page in Browser from Within VWD, the browser (both IE and Firefox) keeps looking for www.localhost.com... I tried to copy the address of and paste it directly in the title bar, nothing, same problem i tried to get that address from the balloon notification (the one that pops up when you run any ASP.net project), still nothing happens... My colleague is facing the same problem, but for him, he can simply copy and paste the url in the address bar, but its not working with me....Heeeeeellllllllllllllllp

• Problems with video playback in iPad.

  I'm trying to implement a MPMoviePlayerView but I can't play the video files, I don't have a device yet to try it on, now I'm testing with simulator, I don't know if this is the cause. So far I've been able to present the view and it shows the first frame of the video, but if I click play, it doesn't play I can move the progress bar and it shows the images, but there's no movement, it stays still. Has anyone experienced something like this? The code of my UIViewController goes like this: NSURL *movieURL=[NSURL fileURLWithPath:@"video.mp4"]; MPMoviePlayerViewController *playerView=[[MPMoviePlayerViewController alloc] initWithContentURL:movieURL]; [self presentMoviePlayerViewControllerAnimated:playerView]; As I said, it shows up, I can move the progress bar back and forth, I see a still image, but no movement. Am I missing something here? or is it the simulator? Thank you

• Unable to hide TabBar on sub view in iphone

  Hello Everyone, My app flow requires Navigation and TabBar controller. So I decided to use TabBar template. Since my first page is login which do not require TabBar, I used presentModelViewController to show Login screen which have Navigation bar if user Navigate to Forgot password. LoginView *rootView = [[[LoginView alloc] init] autorelease]; navigationController= [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:rootView] autorelease]; [tabBarController presentModalViewController:navigationController animated:FALSE]; Ones the user login I dismiss view controller and show TabBar with 5 Tab and Each Tab contain TabaleView. User select any row and navigate to sub view. The issue is, on sub view I dont need tab bar. (TabBar is needed ONLY on dashboard). If I hide tabBar a white space remain there. • How can I get TFS 2010 to build each project to a separate directory?

  In our project, we'd like to have our TFS build put each project into its own folder under the drop folder, instead of dropping all of the files into one flat structure. To illustrate, we'd like to see something like this: DropFolder/ Foo/ foo.exe Bar/ bar.dll Baz baz.dll This is basically the same question as was asked here, but now that we're using workflow-based builds, those solutions don't seem to work. The solution using the CustomizableOutDir property looked like it would work best for us, but I can't get that property to be recognized. I customized our workflow to pass it in to MSBuild as a command line argument (/p:CustomizableOutDir=true), but it seems MSBuild just ignores it and puts the output into the OutDir given by the workflow. I looked at the build logs, and I can see that the CustomizableOutDir and OutDir properties are both getting set in the command line args to MSBuild. I still need OutDir to be passed in so that I can copy my files to TeamBuildOutDir at the end. Any idea why my CustomizableOutDir parameter isn't getting recognized, or if there's a better way to achieve this?

• UIScrollview doesnt resize in NavigationController when rotated

  Hey, I have been dealing with this issue for 2 days now, not able to find a solution. I have a navigationcontroller as a root view controller. This one pushes a UIViewcontroller which in turn has a UIScrollview I created with IB. Additionally there is the Navigation bar. My problem arises, when I rotate the IPhone to Landscape mode. In -(void) didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)fromInterfaceOrientation I want my scrollview to take up the full width (480 px) which it doesnt. I am able to set the frame of the navigation bar to full width perfectly fine, but not the scrollview. I have read that this might be because of the autoresizing masks set in the rooviewcontroller but I have tried out a couple of solutions - none worked for me. Any ideas on how to challenge the problem? Dont know where to start looking.

  Try as I might, I cannot get this to work. Here is my latest attempt. Can someone clue me in as to why this does not work? In a method which is called by my view controller's init method: UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed: @"window22.png"]; UITabBarItem *item = [[UITabBarItem alloc] initWithTitle: @"Some Title" image: image tag: 0]; self.tabBarItem = item; All it does is put a big square where the image should be. The title in the tab bar remains the same as the view controller's title. Everything is being instantiated programmatically here, including the tab bar controller.

• how to prevent MPMoviePlayer controls from hiding

  I am trying to implement a custom MPMoviePlayer to play mp3 audio. I have got it working in portrait mode along with an overlay window over the native controls - thanks to other stackoverflow posts. The current issue is the song progress control shows up when the media window opens (blue bar taking up the first 40 odd pixels), but seems to disappear when the song starts leaving a white bar. It will then re-appear when touching the area, so functionally works fine. I would like to find a way to ensure the controls always stay visible but have not found an appropriate property in the reference. Ideally I would like to have my custom control to replace the default, more because I would like to change the position that the look and feel. This being said, I understand it is not possible as the current position in the song from a MPMoviePlayer cannot be accessed.

• Cocoa Application with Menubar but no Dock Icon / switch menu

  Hi, This is yet one more of those "how to switch from running with a dock icon to running without one" questions with a twist.. I don't want the dock icon but I do want a menu bar when the application is at the front. Is that possible? Running an application with LSUIElement set to 1 in the plist will launch the application without a dock icon, not showing up in the command-tab switch list and without a menu. You can switch from that mode to the "normal" mode with all three switched on via SetSystemModeUI from 10.2 onwards and via NSApplication setApplicationActivationPolicy since 10.6, but crucially there is no way back to the previous mode (go figure). So one way around this would be to launch with LSUIElement = 1 and then activate the menu bar when the application gets the focus and deactivate it on the application losing the focus.. alas I can't find a way of doing that.   Hello, I've looked at jTidy for converting a snipped of malformed/real-world HTML into well-formed HTML/XHTML. However, there's a bug in the latest version due to which I'm not able to use it. I'm looking at Jericho since it has a lot of positive reviews around the net. However, its not immediately obvious to me how one would go about implementing a method like: public String getValidHTML(String messedUpHTML) For instance, if it was passed <div>bar, it would return <div>bar</div> Any pointers would be helpful. • Navigation (controller) in Tabbar (c) in Navigation (c) (iphone)

  I want to have a TabBar controller inside a navigation controller. So that when an item is selected on the first Navigation Controller it pushes the TabBar into view. Inside this tabbar on the first tab is another navigation controller. However I only want one navigation bar. I've come up with 2 ways but not sure which way is better (Ie more acceptable etc)? 1) The first navigation controller isn't actually a navigation controller but to the user it looks like one. So when a cell is selected on it's table view the first navC's view is removed from the superview and the TabBarC's view is added, animation would have to be done manually. 2)The first NavC is actually a NavC and when an item is selected and the TabBar is pushed on to the screen the first NavC's navigationbar is hidden so that the first tab's navigationBar is the only nav bar on screen.

Now, I want to post XML data to it (without using key/value pairs) using command line curl. I have tried many variations of the following: curl -H "Content-type: text/xml; charset=utf-8" --data-urlencode "<foo><bar>bazinga</foo></bar>" http://example.com/foo.php Yet none of them seem to actually post anything — according to the PHP script, $_POST is just an empty array. • iPhone:Tabbar item actions are not happening

  Hello all, I created a window application, which has a tabbar controller with four tabbar items. Each tabbar items are linked with a tableview. I have also set Navigation bar for each tabbar items. I have appdelegate file, which calls the first tableview controller of which is set for first tabbar item. I am trying to retrieve and do an action whenever a tabbar item is clicked. For that, i tried to add "- (void)tabBar:(UITabBar *)tabBar didSelectItem:(UITabBarItem *)item" and "- (void)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController didSelectViewController:(UITableViewController *)viewController" in my first tableview controller, but it is not at all responding whenever i click any tabbar items. My question is, if i create a window based application and added tabbar controller, tableview and navigation bar in .XIB file, is it not possible to access and do an action programatically whenever a tabbar item is clicked? (or) Am i doing anything wrong? Please help me to resolve this and share your ideas. Thanks.

• Opening a local file in Eclipse from the web

  Right now, when I notice a problem on a page on my PHP web site, I have to look at the URL, mentally deduce what file is responsible for displaying that page, then navigate the Eclipse PDT file tree to open that file. This is annoying and uses brain power that could have been applied to solving the issue instead. I would like my PHP web site to display on every page a link that I could click to automatically open the correct file in Eclipse. I can easily compute the complete absolute path for the file I need to open (for example, open C:/xampp/htdocs/controllers/Foo/Bar.php when visiting /foo/bar), and I can make sure that Eclipse is currently open with the correct project loaded, but I'm stuck on how I can have Firefox/Chrome/IE tell Eclipse to open that specific file.

  I have used the code below to create a button on the nav bar with an image. I can see the image but I can also see the border of the button around it. My question is, how can I get rid of the button border. All I want to see is the image on the nav bar, no border. • UITabBar in iPad - Won't go into landscape mode with more than 2 items

  I created a new project and selected the Tab Bar template for iPad. I opened it up in Interface Builder and added 4 more items, bringing the total items to 6. I did a build and run and it opened up fine in the iPad simulator, but it wouldn't go into landscape! I then backtracked in interface builder and found that it would go landscape if there were only 2 items in the tab bar, but not if there were any more. The simulator rotates but all the content (currently just the placeholders put in place by Apple) stays as if it was portrait. Any ideas why?

  Hi all, I have a requirement where UIPickerView should be customized. The picker view should look something like this: The application which has customized the pickerView similarly is: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/convert-the-unit-calculator/id325758140?mt=8 I have tried removing the default pickerView selection bar by resetting the property showsSelectionIndicator of UIImagePicker and adding a overlay view. But the problem is, the overlay view should be transparent so that the wheel behind it is visible. But the other application somehow does it even though the selection bar is not transparent. Now what I'm trying to do and can't seem to figure out is the following: When a user types "mywebsite.com/products?id=12345" into the browser address bar, I want the server to serve the right product page according to the ID but display it in the address bar as "mywebsite.com/product" no matter what the product ID is. Is this possible to do? If yes how? Thanks

• switch views using a button, going to a table view, iphone

  My program has 4 buttons and each button calls a different table view. That works fine, but my problem is, the view controller I'm using brings up a table view that covers up my navigation bar and my tab bar. I need to replace that coding with something that will bring up a table and not cover up my nav and tab bars. • CSS - 100% Height Layout with Variable Height Header

  The layout I want to achieve is pretty simple. I want a 100% height layout with a header, and below the header I will have a side bar for navigation and then the content area beside the navigation bar (2-column with header). I can easily do this if I give the header a specified height but I want the header to just take up as much room as is needed. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it possible without knowing the height of the header? Thanks for any help.
