• Issue with loading background image using CSS

  Im using following CSS to set a background-image for my menu #menuContainer { background:url('../images/main-bg.png') repeat-x; } My CSS is inside ~/styles/site.css and my image is inside ~/images/main-bg.png The problem is this works perfectly in Chrome but it's not working in Firefox. But if change the URL to #menuContainer { background:url('images/main-bg.png') repeat-x; } It starts working in Firefox and in Chrome it doesn't work. Can anyone please help?

• SubSonic 3 issue creating List<>

  I have an application that requires we use distinct user connection strings per user. We are trying to upgrade from SubSonic 2.x to 3.0. I'm running into issues with trying to create a List< of objects. When I try to create a List like this: List<table_name> oList = table_name.All().Where(tn => tn.table_id == TableId).ToList(); I get the error "Connection string 'ConnectionStringName' does not exist." So, I try to create the List< like this: List<table_name> oList = table_name.All(sConnectionString, "System.Data.SqlClient").Where(tn => tn.table_id == TableId).ToList(); I get the error "The name 'table_name' does not exist in the current context." I'm using SQL Server, and the sConnectionString is definitely verified to be a good connection string, and the table_name is a table in the database. What am I doing wrong?

  I'm coding a Jquery Mobile 1.2, Jquery 1.8.2, css, and HTML 5 based app that I need to allow the user to select multiple images and execute a command. • SQL Server 2005 FREETEXT() Perfomance Issue

  I have a query with about 6-7 joined tables and a FREETEXT() predicate on 6 columns of the base table in the where. Now, this query worked fine (in under 2 seconds) for the last year and practically remained unchanged (i tried old versions and the problem persists) So today, all of a sudden, the same query takes around 1-1.5 minutes. After checking the Execution Plan in SQL Server 2005, rebuilding the FULLTEXT Index of that table, reorganising the FULLTEXT index, creating the index from scratch, restarting the SQL Server Service, restarting the whole server I don't know what else to try. I temporarily switched the query to use LIKE instead until i figure this out (which takes about 6 seconds now). When I look at the query in the query performance analyser, when I compare the ´FREETEXT´query with the ´LIKE´ query, the former has 350 times as many reads (4921261 vs. 13943) and 20 times (38937 vs. 1938) the CPU usage of the latter. So it really is the ´FREETEXT´predicate that causes it to be so slow. Has anyone got any ideas on what the reason might be? Or further tests I could do?

• Silverlight 4 caching issue?

  I am currently experiencing a weird caching problem it would seem. When I load my data intially, I return all the data within given dates and my graph looks as follows: Then I filter the data to return a subset of the original data for the same date range (not that it matters) and I get the following view of my data: However, I intermittently get the following when I refresh the same filterd view of the data: One can see that not all the data gets cached but only some of it i.e. for 12 Dec 2010 and 5 dec 2010(not shown here). I've looked at my queries and the correct data is getting pulled out. It is only on the presentation layer i.e. on Mainpage.xaml.cs that this erroneous data seems to exist. I've stepped through the code and the data is corect through all the layers except on the presentation layer. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there some sort of caching going in the background that is keeping that data in the background as I've got browser caching off? I am using the LoadOperation in the callback method within the Load method of the DomainContext if that helps...

  Hi, I need to implement a HtmlHelper extension in my MVC project simply just to output some string but ONLY in the DEBUG mode, not in REALEASE. My first attempt would be: [Conditional("DEBUG")] public static string TestStringForDebugOnly(this HtmlHelper helper, string testString) { return testString; } But obviously that would give a compile error: "The Conditional attribute is not valid because its return type is not void." So my understanding is once you set [Condition] attribute, it doesnt allow to return anything? why? What is other way to implement this kind of function? anyone help would be much appreciated.   This is my code to pre_match when an amount looks like this: $ 99.00 and it works if (preg_match_all('/[$]\s\d+(\.\d+)?/', $tout, $matches)) { $tot2 = $matches[0]; $tot2 = preg_replace("/\\\$/", '', $tot2);} I need to do the same thing for a amount that looks like this (with a comma): $ 99,00 Thank you for your help (changing dot for comma do not help, there is an "escape" thing I do not understand... Idealy I need to preg_match any number that looks like an amount with dot or commas and with or without dollar sign before or after (I know, it's a lot to ask :) since on the result form I want to scan there are phone and street numbers... UPDATE (For some reason I cannot comment on replies) : To test properly, I need to preg_replace the comma by a dot (since we are dealings with sums, I don't think calculations can be done on numbers with commas in it). So to clarify my question, I should say : I need to transform, let's say "$ 200,24" to "200.24". (could be amounts bettween 0.10 to 1000.99) : $tot2 = preg_replace("/\\\$/", '', $tot2);} (this code just deals with the $ (it works), I need adaptation to deal also with the change of (,) for (.))

But unfortunately if the sports are not selected like below when the form is submitted post is empty. Any ideas why this is occurring? FYI, I know I can remove the function and combine into one call but I'd like to keep the function in place if possible.

  This is a followup for this question. When I used the proxy flag, I did not know all of its effects. Now I have two more problems, which need to be fixed! The main problem is with user IP addresses, everyone appears to use the server IP. I can't trust http-x-forwarded-for because it is easy to forge headers, and the REMOTE_ADDR just shows the server IP. I used the P flag because it acted as a mask, but Google loads everything with the actual URL. How can I use this subdomain rewrite without the P flag? It needs to be internal. • Heap Algorithmic Issue

  I am having this algorithmic problem that I want to discuss about. Its not about find a solution but about optimization in terms of runtime. So here it is: Suppose we have a race court of Length L and a total of N cars that participate on the race. The race rules are simple. Once a car overtakes an other car the second car is eliminated from the race. The race ends when no more overtakes are possible to happen. The tricky part is that the k'th car has a starting point x[k] and a velocity v[k]. The points are given in an ascending order, but the velocities may differ. What I've done so far: Given that a car can get overtaken only by its previous, I calculated the time that it takes for each car to reach its next one t = (x[i] - x[i+1])/(v[i] - v[i+1]) and I insert these times onto a min heap in O(n log n). So in theory I have to pop the first element in O(logn), find its previous, pop it as well , update its time and insert it in the heap once more, much like a priority queue. My main problem is how I can access specific points of a heap in O(log n) or faster in order to keep the complexity in O(n log n) levels. This program should be written on Haskell so I would like to keep things simple as far as possible EDIT: I Forgot to write the actual point of the race.   I have a connection problem using openssl 0.9.8j. When I try to connect with s_client to one specified server openssl said: 640:error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure:s3 _pkt.c:1060:SSL alert number 40 640:error:140790E5:SSL routines:SSL23_WRITE:ssl handshake failure:s23_lib.c:188 I tried option "no_ticket",I tried also "ssl2",all is useless. The problem occurs only when I try to connect to this server. Any ideas? Thanks!
