  Hi how to redirect the user into mobile site when the user accessing from mobile. Say example i have site called www.mysite.com. Now, a person accessing a website from mobile it should redirect to www.mysite.com/mobile or www.m.mysite.com. I put some research in google that we can redirect using javascript to get the user agent(browser) if(mobile browser) { //redirect to www.mysite.com/mobile } else if(normal browser) { //redirect to www.mysite.com } or using screen resolution if(screen resolution < 800 ) { //redirect to www.mysite.com/mobile } else if(screen resolution > 800) { //redirect to www.mysite.com } I think It will not work If it is the case of javascript disable. Can we do this using .htaccess or php stuff? Is there any standard mechanism to do this?

  I’ve done a bit of overdue updates to my website. The links page - http://www.bobtacoindustries.com/Developers/Links  - now includes DirectX links. I’ve also updated all of the links that were broken in the recent changes to the App Hub site. If you have any good links you think I’m missing, let me know. I haven’t had a chance to do any dead link checking & pruning yet so there might be some links that go to the wrong place or go nowhere at all. That’s the problem with link repositories; maintenance of them is quite a bit of work. But hopefully I’ll find some time to do that soon.

  Hello guys, I have a website which i have indexed on google for example (like 15 days ago). some of my pages pass arguments like: http://www.bla.com/products.php?pro=bla&page=view suddently i saw that passing arguments like this isn't good for SEO purposes and started using htaccess rewrite. and changed the arguments to like this: http://www.bla.com/products/bla/*view*/ now my site on google still shows as i showed at link number 1 what should i do? i thought i should wait for the search engine to crawl my site again but nothing happened. thanks in advanced, Din

• Specific website not working on my connection [closed]

  For some reason, the website http://www.woopra.com/ doesn't work well (shows as plain html, no css/images/JS) on my computer and my Android tablet (they both share the same internet connection). It does however, work on my WP 7.5 phone (3G). When I try to set a wifi hotspot and use the tablet it still doesn't work (tried to clean cache). I tried FF, Chrome and IE (multiple versions). What is going on here? I'm clueless! Thanks.

• Website hacked, cpanel password not encrypted?

  Yesterday I found out that all the websites that are hosted on my webhosting site were hacked. I tried to change my password, and unbelievably, I COULD SEE my password there. This means my password is able to be decrypted. I asked customer support, and they say, its normal, CPanel saves the password like that. Is it true? I mean, cpanel password able to be decrypted? They blame me because my wordpress version is out of date. But 2 of my website are on different platforms. One made by CI and one by Wordpress, and all are hacked. Is this hosting reliable?

  With backlinkwatch.com I can get a list of pages that link to a particular website. Unfortunately, it lists tons of obscure blogs and small forums, it has hard to find what link is really important. Is there a similar service, where links would be displayed sorted by "importance"? For instance, a link New York Times would be shown at the top of the list, while links in small blogs would not appear before a few pages. "Importance" can be subjective, so I suggest using the PageRank, but other metrics could be fine too.

• My website google index suddenly increase and also suddenly reduced

  Yesterday before i sleep, i check my site index. i get about 50 index on google. today morning when i wake up, i get 250 index on google. and my page ranking better on several keyword. than i add 1 page and 2 canonical link, add 404 page header, and resubmit sitemap. and after 2 hour, its going down to 50 index again. and my page ranking just rolled back to previous day. what is actually happen? is it because i resubmit sitemap? until now, google still crawl my website. do they try to refresh the index?

I also know that the server will have to do certain operations that are timer based, that is to say that user will have events that will trigger at a point chosen by the user and do something. I am searching for a good choice in server-side technology, and was wondering what my options are and what the best choice is. I would prefer open technology and something that doesn't use interpreted languages (Java, .net). • How to recover organic position in Google results after server down?

  I have several sites that were doing quite well in terms of organic SEO rankings. I have the important sites setup in Google's Webmaster tools. Long story short, the system was down for about two weeks. Now in AdSense and Analytics, I am seeing that the page views are SLOWLY increasing. and I would like to know if there is anything I can do now to try to expedite the process of regaining those positions. Since there were several errors from that server, is it possible that Google will now rank any site from that IP address lower due to those two weeks of errors?   I run a few websites for a non-profit organization. Recently, our neighbor has been taking us to court and attempting to sue over everything he can. He made a comment to a supporter of ours that he wants the land and knows we won't sell, so he is trying to use his money to break us, and get the land for cheap. One of his latest tactics was to use excerpts from our website to take us to court about potential zoning violations for ideas we spit-balled on a forum with our supporters. I am trying to find a legal disclaimer that prevents somebody from using any information from our sites against us in court. Can this be done? If so, is there a default disclaimer on the web that would fit our needs? Thanks!

  I've been having a bit of an issue today. I run Gematsu.com. At first I thought the site has been going slow all day due to the amount of hits we've been getting the past couple days. But then I realized we'd received even less today, so something wasn't adding up. I ran a check on a website testing site.Turns out I have a bunch of redirects from URLs that I've never heard of. I don't know if they're what's slowing the site down, but I can tell you the site wasn't taking a minute to load yesterday.   For example: I like the fonts used on the website : NYTimes, so something that could list all the fonts used by the website would be great! I do NOT want a image processing utility that could analyze the screenshots or a site that will ask questions about the font and narrow down from its list.   we have a few web servers and am planning to create a dashboard to show the real time stats ip address,geo-location and other custom data based on database lookups. Splunk sort of fits perfectly but wondering if there are any open source alternative . i have looked at logstash and graylog2, but to my knowledge they are more of a log analysis tools. Piwik is sort of interesting except that i cannot put any javascript on the webpages. All i have access to is apache web log. Any recommendations please..
