• How do I copy the layout from a header of a JTabbedPane onto a JPanel?

  I have created a "CollapsingPanel"class/sort of a JTabbedPane (code skeleton can be found at http://www.coderanch.com/t/341737/Swing-AWT-SWT-JFace/java/Expand-Collapse-Panels). It is in other words a lot of headers which you click on to show a hidden Panel. At the moment these header-panels are a rectangular box with a LineBorder around them. That is ugly! I'm wondering if there is a way to copy the layout that the JTabbedPane uses for its headers/titles (which is inhierted from Look&Feel I assume) and use it on my JPanel-based headers? So that my headers get a smooth look which is in line with the rest of the program (based on Look&Feel!) instead of looking like alien flat blocks.   Hello, assume I have a such html order <div id="header">>Header(logo, navigation menus etc)will be here, fixed height </div> <div id="content"> Dynamic content with different length will be here. </div> <div id="footer"> Footer of the page here, fixed height </div> Now as you can see, it is only the content div which will be changing in size as the length changes. I want to make sure the screen is used even if the height of the content is less than to fill the whole. (in other words minimum height of the content will be screen (height in pixel) - ( (height of header) + (height of footer) ) Now I can see that min-widht can be used but it is not supported with IE, how can I achieve this issue ?

  I'm looking for generic and open source payment libraries that support many different payment processor APIs. In other words, I'd like to develop an application using a single payment processing API, but be able to easily switch between payment gateways, such as Authorize.Net, Payflow Pro, Braintree, PayPal, Google, Amazon, etc. This question gives some Java solutions, but the suggestions all look horrible. Isn't there anything more like ActiveMerchant for Java? I really need a good Java solution, to the point of building my own if necessary. But I don't want to reinvent the wheel if it exists. Are there any solutions for Python or PHP? Ideally, I'd like to find something similar to Ruby's ActiveMerchant, which looks exceptionally complete. Are there any other Ruby solutions?

• Filter a model's attributes before outputting as json

  Hey guys, I need to output my model as json and everything is going fine. However, some of the attributes need to be 'beautified' by filtering them through some helper methods, such as number_to_human_size. How would I go about doing this? In other words, say that I have an attribute named bytes and I want to pass it through number_to_human_size and have that result be output to json. I would also like to 'trim' what gets output as json if that's possible, since I only need some of the attributes. Is this possible? Can someone please give me an example? I would really appreciate it.

  What is the magic that makes components cling to the edges of a form? I had thought that one must use the resize event of the form and them force each element in the form to resize. But then I saw some sample code which, even when I am editing the form, the elements seem to adhere to a percentage of the space they take up in the form rather than a set diminsion. In other words, when I am editing the form and resizing it, the panels and the parts inside the form bend their shape such that the edges remain a few pixels from the edges. But in my own program I have not been able to find where I can duplicate this feature.   Recently, I found that some searches in Firefox are redirected to Bing. (Instead of my primary search engine Google.) I am not sure, but it seems that it is not bound to search but rather a hostname resolving. Since entering a single word that might be a hostname redirects to Bing. But entering more words searches using my primary search engine. hey - uses Bing to search hey hey - uses Google to search I found that the resulting search url contains MSSRPD: http://www.bing.com/search?q=hey&form=MSSRPD I am wondering what is the MSSRPD and how can I uninstall/disable, so my primary search engine is used?

• IE 11 not listening to MSFullscreenChange

  IE 11 does not seem to be recognizing MSFullscreenChange. I have this code in the script: document.addEventListener("MSFullscreenChange", function () { if (document.msFullscreenElement != null) { console.info("Went full screen"); } else { console.info("Exited full screen"); } }); In other words, I'm using the exact code shown here on Microsoft's own site, but nothing's being printed out in the console, and I know fullscreen is enabled. I also noticed I'm getting the SEC7118 message: XMLHttpRequest for https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/qywzeXowktA?v=2&alt=json required Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS). That wouldn't be affecting it, would it?

• WPF - Render text in Viewport3D

  I want to present up to 300 strings (just a few words) in a Viewport3D - fast! I want to render them on different Z positions and zoom in and out fluently. The ways I have found so far to render text in a Viewport3D: Put a TextBlock in a Viewport2DVisual3D. This guy's PlanarText class. The same guy's SolidText class. Create my own 2D panel and align TextBlocks on it. Call InvalidateArrange() every time I update the camera position. All of these are extremely slow and far apart from zooming fluently even with 10 strings only. Does anyone have a solution for this handy? It's got to be possible to render some text in a Viewport3D without waiting seconds!

  How can I replace a string/word in a Word Document via ASP.NET? I just need to replace a couple words in the document, so I would like to stay AWAY from 3rd party plugins & interop. I would like to do this by opening the file and replacing the text.   Hello everyone: How can I use sphinx to search french words which the entries in the db is actually english? The situation is: I have a ROR project with a table in the db called "categories", and the category names are in english, category has many "question" entries. In localization file config/locals/fr.yml, these categories were translated to french. Consider about expandability, we can't change the category names in the db to french. User can search by type part of the key word. Here is a example: Category Name: Health and Medical In french: Santé et médecine so how can I do this: type "Santé médecine abc" in the search field and sphinx will return the "questions" under "Health and Medical" category and have keyword "abc"?

  I'm attempting to implement a Patricia Trie with the methods addWord(), isWord(), and isPrefix() as a means to store a large dictionary of words for quick retrieval (including prefix search). I've read up on the concepts but they just aren't clarifying into an implementation. I want to know (in Java or Python code) how to implement the Trie, particularly the nodes (or should I implement it recursively). I saw one person who implemented it with an array of 26 child nodes set to null/None. Is there a better strategy (such as treating the letters as bits) and how would you implement it?

• Interval tree algorithm that supports merging of intervals with no overlap

  I'm looking for an interval tree algorithm similar to the red-black interval tree in CLR but that supports merging of intervals by default so that there are never any overlapping intervals. In other words if you had a tree containing two intervals [2,3] and [5,6] and you added the interval [4,4], the result would be a tree containing just one interval [2,6]. Thanks Update: the use case I'm considering is calculating transitive closure. Interval sets are used to store the successor sets because they have been found to be quite compact. But if you represent interval sets just as a linked list I have found that in some situations they can become quite large and hence so does the time required to find the insertion point. Hence my interest in interval trees. Also there may be quite a lot of merging one tree with another (i.e. a set OR operation) - if both trees are large then it may be better to create a new tree using inorder walks of both trees rather than repeated insertions of each interval.

I am looking for an add-in that will duplicate the functionality of the "Windows" Window, but in a NON-Modal, dockable type window. In other words a window with a list of the files open in the IDE, that I can dock next to the Solution explorer or something, and just click on to switch to that open file (if anyone has ever used Textpad, the Document Selector is exactly what I am talking about).   i' ve a problem in doing my final project... i'm having trouble with how to save multiple wav files into 1 wav file.. let's take an example: i have 3 wav files which are the syllables of the word "hospital" : "hos.wav", "pi.wav", and "tal.wav" (sorry if i'm wrong in determining the syllables of the words).. each of those syllable wav files contains utterances of the syllables of the word "hospital" respectively.. my task is to merge those files so that the word hospital could be reproduced from those files. and then to save the merged file to be a new wav file, let say "hospital.wav"..I've done my first task, but not with my second task... does anyone can help me? thx b4..

• IText Lines Per Page?

  I have used IText(Sharp) to make PDFs from raster images but have never used IText to build text based PDF's. In this new scenario, I have N words of ASCII text that I need to add as text pages to a new PDF. Each page should be 8.5 x 11, .5 margins, using some monospaced font. Is IText(Sharp) smart enough to automatically apply line and page breaks where necessary or do I need to do this manually? Are their any good IText tutorials for this scenario? thanks! scottm

  Hello World, I am new to java and i was asking myself, if i have a class 'Example' and somewhere i make a: Example example1 = new Example(); and i add some stuff to it, lets say example1.setExampleBoolean(false); and now i make: Example example2 = example1; example2.setExampleBoolean(true); Did i say with Example example2 = example1 let example2 point to the same adress as example1? Because than i would have altered example1. In other words would, using something like: Boolean exampleBoolean = example1.getExampleBoolean(); exampleBoolean be true of false? • Image cropping in PHP is producing blank result

  I'm simply trying to crop a JPEG image (no scaling) using PHP. Here is my function, along with the inputs. function cropPicture($imageLoc, $width, $height, $x1, $y1) { $newImage = imagecreatetruecolor($width, $height); $source = imagecreatefromjpeg($imageLoc); imagecopyresampled($newImage,$source,0,0,$x1,$y1,$width,$height,$width,$height); imagejpeg($newImage,$imageLoc,90); } When I call it as follows--cropPicture('image.jpg', 300, 300, 0, 0)--the function completes properly, but I'm left with a black image that is 300x300 px (in other words, a blank canvas). Am I passing in the wrong arguments? The image exists and is writeable.

  Hello, I want to create an app, whith the following structure: UITabBarController ..UINavigationController ....UITabBarController So, in other words, I want to load first UITabbarController as my main ViewController, that appears on application start, in its' first tab there's a UINavigationController with a table, which shows another UITabBarController by pressing on a table cell. I started Tab Based application, set first tab to UINavigationController, and its ViewController to my TableViewController. I also created second UITabBarController in Interface Builder. Created a separate class for this controller. Everything works fine at start - my first UITabBarController is shown perfectly, but when I'm trying to push my second UITabBarController, using my UINavigationController, it looks like nothing is loaded from a .xib file - there are just an empty TabBar and NavigationBar pushed. Seems, that something is wrong with an architecture, but I can't figure out the problem. Thanks in advance and I'm sorry for my poor English. That is if I am using the settings for defaultProxy for my Winforms v3.5 application, and set a proxy server address here, exactly where does/can the username/password come from? Or in other words where does the framework source the "default credentials" for a winforms application running on the client PC? <defaultProxy enabled="true|false" useDefaultCredentials="true|false" <bypasslist> … </bypasslist> <proxy> … </proxy> <module> … </module> /> Background - apparently ClickOnce can use this for a client side application, however I'm trying to work out where click once would get this defaultCredential from, for a user who is running the clickonce install for my winforms application.

  I have 2 related MySQL tables in a one to many relationship. Customers: cust_id, cust_name, cust_notes Orders: order_id, cust_id, order_comments So, if I do a standard join to get all customers and their orders via PHP, I return something like: Jack Black, jack's notes, comments about jack's 1st order Jack Black, jack's notes, comments about jack's 2nd order Simon Smith, simon's notes, comments about simon's 1st order Simon Smith, simon's notes, comments about simon's 2nd order The problem is that *cust_notes* is a text field and can be quite large (a couple of thousand words). So, it seems like returning that field for every order is inneficient. I could use *GROUP_CONCAT* and JOINS to return all *order_comments* on a single row BUT order_comments is a large text field too, so it seems like that could create a problem. Should I just use two separate queries, one for the customers table and one for the orders table? Is there a better way?
