  • How to effectively measure difference in a run-time.

    Guys, in one of the excersises in TC++PL B.S. asks to: "Write a function that either returns a value or that throws that value based on an argument. Measure the difference in run-time between the two ways." Great pity he never explaines how to measure such things. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to write simple "time start, time end" counter or maybe there are more effective and practical ways to do it? Thanks in advance.

    Hey guys I'm getting this weird error in my Zend application with this piece of code: $curl = curl_init(); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, 'www.xyz.com/ab.php'); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $data = curl_exec($curl); curl_close($curl); This is the error, I get: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Session_Exception' with message 'session has already been started by session.auto-start or session_start() When I remove that code everything works fine.     hey guys, a curl function returns a string $widget that contains regular html - two divs where the first div holds a table with various values inside of <td>'s. i wonder what's the easiest and best way for me to extract only all the values inside of the <td>'s so i have blank values without the remaining html. any idea what the pattern for the preg_match should look like? thank you.

    Hello Guys, We have been using PHP/MySQL for our web application which has been growing a lot, the database is around 4-5GB and one of the table is 2GB sometimes, hence slowing down whenever any queries to that table is called. Should we just try to optimize, or are we using MySQL above its limit? Will switching our web app to .NET/MSSQL resolve the issues? Thanks

  • RequiredFieldValidator to validate a disabled textBox

    Hi guys, I've got a TextBox in which user can input a their desired username. Underneath I've got a checkbox that once clicked it copies the user's email adress into the textfield and then disable it to prevent further changes. This feature is implemented by using jQuery. The problem is that I've got a RequiredFieldValidator on that TextBox and it looks like it can't validate a disabled textfield, even if the value is set. How can I solve this?

  • iPhone UITextView leaves room for 2 lines at the bottom

    Hi Guys, When i start typing text in a default textView in my viewcontroller, its not going to the bottom of the textfield. It leaves room for 2 more lines of text and then starts scrolling. I want it to start scrolling when i start going beyond the last line. I tried everything, and i dont know what i can do? Anyone any ideas?
