    Hi all I have a problem with a C application; i have on a .txt file some float numbers and I have to read them and sort in descending way. When i do the fscanf command and then the printf, i get on the screen strange numbers (memory location I suppose). How can i solve the problem? Thanks in advance

    I'm using thinking sphinx to for search on a rails app. I have a float field called 'height'. I need to be able to search this field for exact values (i.e. exactly 6.0, not 6.5). I also need to be able to sort on the field. What I have so far: indexes height, :sortable => true Problem: doesn't sort properly, returns 6.0 and 6.5 if I search for '6'

    This is kinda like my earlier question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2451175/c-vector3-type-wall Except, now, I want to do this to a builtin rather then a user created type. So I want a type "Length" that behaves just like float -- except I'm going to make it's constructor explicit, so I have to explicitly construct Length objects (rather than have random conversions flying around). Basically, I'm going into the type-a-lot camp.

    Hi, What is the difference between sizeof(3.0) and sizeof(3.0f) I was expecting both of them to give the same result (sizeof float)..but its different. In 32 bit machine,gcc compiler, sizeof(3.0f) =4 sizeof(3.0) = 8 Why so?

  • CSS list menu; extra padding on rollover of buttons

    I have been going crazy trying to figure out why there is extra padding showing up on my navigation buttons when I rollover them. It's only showing up to the left and right of them though.   • Trouble with my website and IE7

    Hi there, sorry im new here but i have a serious problem; I changed the CSS style sheet for IE7 for my site http://bumblebbids.com , but now when using IE7 it has no graphics and all of the scripts code is printed ; I have tried replacing the original stylesheet but it made no difference, so please suggest ways that i can fix this? If not, would it be possible to have a 'Incompatible browser' message that only appears for IE7 users? Thanks

    I am building a mobile web app and I'm using jquerytools slider on it. i want te slider to show (in proper ratio) across all mobile devices so width of the images is 100% and height is auto in css. However as all the elements are floated and jquerytools slider requires the position be set to absolute, the containing div (#header) doesn't stretch to fit the content. I am trying to use jquery to get the height of the height of the img and apply that height to the header.... however I am having no luck.   • Running multiple versions of Firefox [migrated]

    I've been reading this: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/797010#answer-193690 But it looks like it only applies to running multiple versions of Firefox when it's Firefox 4. I need to run Firefox but it seems like a lot of my clients are still running versions of Firefox 3 (is this an operating system issue? Doesn't Firefox auto-update?) so I need to run 3 plus the latest version to troubleshoot some css issues...
