  • Bulk Deleting All Messages in a Folder in Microsoft Outlook Web Access [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: Multiple delete in Microsoft Outlook Web Access How do you delete all messages in a folder in Outlook, preferrably through Web Access? I left my Outlook account unattended for several days (on vacation) and when I got back I found several folders with over 5k emails, mostly error logging or spam. When I try to open the Outlook client, it just locks up, presumably unable to download that many emails. I can view at most 100 emails at a time, but I can't select all emails to delete or permanently delete them immediately, so manually deleting this many emails is going to take a while. Gmail has a similar feature to select and delete all emails in a folder, and that's free so I figure being a quality non-free product from Microsoft, Outlook should have a similar feature (yes that's sarcasm). I've Googled, but I'm not finding anything. Is this possible?

    I run a win 2k8 a/d server and an win 2k8 exchange 07 server I have a group called 'No Internet Mail', i made it a distribution group. I tried to setup a transport rule on the exchange server that is configured as follows for outgoing: from a member of no internet mail and sent to users outside the organization redirect the message to administrator and send message refused, forwarded to administrator. Please talk to management for external email use. however , when i enable this it forwards everyones emails to me regardless if they are a member of the no internet mail group or not. not sure what im doing wrong, thanks in advanced.

  • Exchange 07 to 07 mailbox migration using local continuous replication

    I have an existing Exchange Server ex0 and a fresh Exchange Server ex1, both 2007SP3. The servers are in different sites so users cannot access mailboxes on ex1 as from my understanding, a standalone CAS is required for this. I am thinking of doing the following: Enable local continous replication of the storage group on ex0 to a mapped drive that points to the corresponding storage group folder on ex1 At some point when the replication is done (small number of users and volume of mail), say on a late night on the weekend, disable CAS on ex0 (or otherwise redirect requests on the server-side from ex0 to ex1) AND change the public DNS name of the CAS so that it points to ex1. Will my plan work? If not, please explain what I can do to fix it.

  • E2K7: Can't add jounaling mailbox to storage group

    We just added a new SG to a standalone E2K7 server but Exchange pops an error when we try to enable journaling on it. The journal recipient mailbox was created a while back and as far as we can tell there are no issues with it. It's viewable in the GAL and accessible through OWA. The error is: Set-Mailboxdatabase Error:Obkect "domain.company.com/Journaling/Journal5" could not be found. Please make sure that it was spelled correctly or specify a different object. This Journal5 account is in a child domain (like all the other journaling mailboxes we have attached to other mailbox server SGs). We also tried attaching one of the working journaling mailboxes to this SG but they also popped back the same error. Event log is now showing any errors at all. We are running SP1 on this server. I've tried dismounting/remounting the store and bouncing the IS and SA services but that didn't help any. Any suggestions?

  • Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1. Software MS Office Excel 2010

    In Excel I understand there is no mechanism to customise & re-label the Rows & Columns (i.e. Renaming Col. A to some text like "Item Number" and so on. My question is regarding if it's possible to start Row Numbering at zero, or to determine a pre-allocated number of rows which contain my Headers, and then the first Row with the detail is infact seen as Row 1? Reason for question is I work multiple INternational Projects and we use Excel to trsack alot of activities & issues. Oddly, many people will refer to, for example "Point 7"... Some people mean the ID 7 (which I have the first Column dedicated to ID Number), some mean Excel Row 7, which infact could be really ID 3, or 4 from Col. A.... Any easy way or workaround to just use the Excel Row Numbers but select from when Row 1 is counted?

I understand that Microsoft Exchange is a paid/licensed product, but I was curious if there might be a host that has a free hosting model (e.g. for <= 3 mailboxes per domain)? Larger mail boxes per domain == cost. ?? Finally, please refrain from suggesting other mail services (eg. sendmail, etc).

  • Cannot assign multi-line values to CustomAttributes with Set-Mailbox

    A colleague is implementing an application that generates signatures and publishes them to Outlook. It would be useful to him if I could store a multi-line string for each user in Active-Directory. Using one of the Custom-Attributes seems obvious, but if I try set-mailbox biglig -CustomAtribute1 "First Line``r``n Second Line" then CustomAttribute1 gets set to "FirstLineSecondLine" and looses the breaks. However, the same syntax works fine when I set e.g. StreetAddress or Notes. Of course, those are changed with set-user rather than set-mailbox. According to Technet's reference for set-user and set-mailbox, The CustomAttributes, StreetAddress, and Notes all take a system.string as their value. Is it just the case that some attributes accept multi-line strings and some don't? If so, can anyone suggest a workaround?

  • Powerpoint not drawing in slide properly...

    So got another issue to post about. I have a user here who uses powerpoint a lot, Office 07 with SP2. When he opens up the presentation, powerpoint opens fine without errors, but does not draw in the main slide properly. So to better explain that, the list on the left hand side, that shows the slides and what order they are in, loads up fine. You can see the slides and the content etc. When you click on a slide, to edit it, it does not draw in on the editing screen. Not really sure how to explain that. The screen where the work on the slide is done, is what is affected. This is a screen shot from my pc not the users. So instead of the screen saying "Click to add title" it would be improperly drawn such that if I were to drag an explorer window across it, it would leave a trail. I have tried reinstalling office, updating it, as well as giving the user a new windows image and nothing has helped. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I know how to insert caption for a picture, but I'm not sure as to how can I do that for a table or some miscellaus object, in a way that I can get a list of them all afterwards ? Can anyone give a hint or two ? Usually I do these things manually, but this document is getting big.

  • Inbox should not contain any calendar appointment

    Imagine two users A and B.User B has editor rights on mailbox A via delegation. Delegation settings: User A should not receive any invitation (calendar appointments). All should be routed to user B. It works fine when you are connected to mailbox via Outlook. Problem is that sometimes it does not work when user is connected via his iPhone (he receives calendar appointments in inbox). I know that this feature for MS products and therefore it works on MS Outlook. But user A told me that it worked in the past also on iPhone with user C. Problem is that nowadays it does not work perfectly for user B. Do you have any suggestion please? Thank you in advance.

  • How to lookup a value in a table with multiple criteria

    I have a data sheet with multiple values in multiple columns. I have a qty and a current price which when multiplied out gives me the current revenue (CurRev). I want to use this lookup table to give me the new revenue (NewRev) from the new price but can't figure out how to do multiple ifs in a lookup. What I want is to build a new column that checks the "Product", "Tier" and "Location/State" and gives me the new price from the lookup table (above) and then multiply that by the qty. e.g. Data > Product, Tier, Location, Qty, CurRev, NewRev > Product1, Tier1, VIC, 2, $1000.00, $6000 (2 x $3000) > Product2, Tier3, NSW, 1, $100.00, $200 (1 x $200) > Product1, Tier3, SA, 5, $250.00, $750 (5 x $150) > Product3, Tier1, ACT, 5, $100.00, $500(5 x $100) > Product2, Tier3, QLD, 2, $150.00, $240 (2 x $240) Worst case, if I just get the new rate I can create another column

  • SMTP 25 blocked externally

    not sure how to title this question... we run an exchange server with around 80 internal users, all outgoing mail is relayed off a smart host (ISP smtp server) so nothing is actually sent to the world via our server. i wanted to check the server, locally i can telnet to port 25 with no issues and receive the esmtp service ready reply. whenever i do it from an external address (off our local network) i receive unable to connect error 10060. can this cause problems with SPF records, and reverse DNS ? should my exchange server be able to accept smtp requests, requiring authentication before i am able to send from external addresses? if so how... also the exchange server is behind a NAT (asa) device, more than likely thinking that the nat is not configured to route the smtp 25 request to the exchange server.. thanks

    I have recently been assigned as a SharePoint Administrator and while I have managed to figure many things out on my own, I seem to be stumped with how to change the logo/text located near the top of the page. I'm not referring to the site image, which is easy to change. I have SharePoint Designer and have mucked my way through various master pages and css files only to end up more confused than when I started. Can anyone, anywhere help me out here? I can't figure out which file and what lines need to be modified to change the logo. Thank you tons.

    I have a spreadsheet with a large number of rows. There are two rows grouped together (for each customer). In column A, the first row has an account number. The second row should be blank. The spreadsheet has lots of customers listed where there is no second row. I need to insert a blank line to create a second row for each customer that doesn't have one.   • "interface not found" in WCF Moniker without registration for excel

    I'm trying to connect excel to a WCF service, but I can't seem to get even a trivial case to work... I get an Invalid Syntax error when I try and create the proxy in excel. I've attached the visual studio debugger to excel, and get that the real error is "interface not found". I know the service works because the test client created by visual studio is ok... so the problem is in the VBA moniker string. I'm hoping to find one of two things: 1) a correction to my moniker string that will make this work, or 2) an existing sample project to download that has the source for both the host and client that does work.     In one of my community projects I needed to output some listings as Excel file. As installing Excel to server is non-sense that I was easily able to avoid I found simple solution for Excel 2007 files – open-source project called ExcelPackage. In this posting I will show you hot to create simple event attendees report in Excel 2007 format using ExcelPackage. Cautions Although ExcelPackage works well for me here are some things you should be aware of. ExcelPackage needs file system access because compression library it uses is designed so. There is only very old source code available and it is published under GPL. So if you are writing application to your customers then you cannot use this library unless you make your whole application open-source. ExcelPackage has also some technical problems and it is not very easy to use in simple cases. Authors have not provided any new releases since the beginning of 2007 so I have good reason to consider this project as abandoned. You may find the extensive package EPPlus also useful as there are new versions coming over time. EPPlus is also published under GPL (because ExcelPackage is under GPL), so you can use it only on very limited manner. If you don’t afraid some s*itfight with technology and GPL is okay for your system then let’s go on. Exporting event attendees list to Excel Suppose we have list with event attendees and we want to export it to Excel. We are behaving normally and we don’t install Excel desktop software to our web server. Conclusion After some fighting with technology it was not very hard to get nice Excel 2007 sheets coming out from our server. We used ExcelPackage library to create list of event attendees and our event organizers can now simply download data to Excel if they need to contact with attendees or manage their data using Excel tools.

  • Pasting formatted Excel range into Outlook message

    Hi everyone, I am using Office 2007 and I would like to use VBA to paste a range of formatted Excel cells into an Outlook message and then mail the message. In the following code (that I lifted from various sources), it runs without error and then sends an empty message... the paste does not work. Can anyone see the problem and better yet, help with a solution?
