  • How to restrict an access to some of the functions at third level in Classes (OOPs)

    - by Shantanu Gupta
    I have created a class say A which has some functions defined as protected. Now Class B inherits A and class C inherits B. Class A has private default constructor and protected parameterized constructor. I want Class B to be able to access all the protected functions defined in Class A but class C can have access on some of the functions only not all the functions and class C is inheriting class B. How can I restrict access to some of the functions of Class A from Class C ? Class A { private A(){} protected A(int ){} } Class B : A {} CLass C:B { }

  • Limiting method access in protected section to few classes

    - by Bharat
Hi, I want to limit the access of protected methods to certain inherited classes only. For example there is a base class like TBase = Class Protected Method1; Method2; Method3; Method4; End; I have two classes derived from TBase TDerived1 = Class(TBase) //Here i must access only Method1 and Method2 End; TDerived2 = Class(TBase) //Here i must access only Method3 and Method4 End; Then is it possible to access only Method1 and Method2 when i use objects of TDerived1 and Method3 and Method4 when i use objects of TDerived2

  • AJP Connector Apache-Tomcat with php and java application

    - by Safari
I have a question about proxy and ajp module. On my machine I have a Apache web server and a Tomcat servlet container. On Tomcat is running a my java webapplication. On Apache I have some services and I can call these in this way: http://myhos/service1 http://myhos/service2 http://myhos/service3 I would configurate a ajp connector to call my tomcat webapplication from Apache. I would somethin as http://myhost to call the Tomcat webapp. So, I configurated my apache in this way..and I have what I wanted: I can use http://myHost to visualize the Tomcat webApp by Apache. <VirtualHost *:80> ProxyRequests off ProxyPreserveHost On ServerAlias myserveralias ErrorLog logs/error.log CustomLog logs/access.log common <Proxy *> Order deny, allow Allow from all </Proxy> ProxyPass /server-status ! ProxyPass /balancer-manager ! ProxyPass / balancer://mycluster/ stickysession=JSESSIONID nofailover=Off maxattempts=1 <Proxy balancer://mycluster> BalancerMember ajp://myIp:8009 min=10 max=100 route=portale loadfactor=1 ProxySet lbmethod=bytraffic </Proxy> <Location /balancer-manager> SetHandler balancer-manager Order deny, allow Allow from localhost </Location> LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-Agent}i\"" combined LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b" common LogFormat "%{Referer}i -> %U" referer LogFormat "%{User-agent}i" agent </VirtualHost> But, now I can't use the apache services: If I use http://myhos/service1 I have an error because apache try to search service1 on my tomcatWebApp. Is there a way to fix it?

  • Deploying a Django application in a virtual Ubuntu Server

    - by mfsaint
I have a virtualbox machine running Ubuntu Server 10.04LTS. My intention is to this machine to work like a VPS, this way I can learn and prepare for when I get a VPS service. Apache+mod_wsgi for deploying the Django app seems the right choice to me. I have the domain (marianofalcon.com.ar) but nothing else, no DNS. The problem is that I'm pretty lost with all the deployment stuff. I know how to configure mod_wsgi(with the django.wsgi file) and apache(creating a VirtualHost). Something is missing and I don't know what it is. I think that I lack networking skills ant that's the big problem. Trying to host the app on a virtualbox adds some difficulty because I don't know well what IP to use. This is what I've got: file placed at: /etc/apache2/sites-available: NameVirtualHost *:80 <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName www.my-domain.com ServerAlias my-domain.com Alias /media /path/to/my/project/media DocumentRoot /path/to/my/project WSGIScriptAlias / /path/to/your/project/apache/django.wsgi ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error.log LogLevel warn CustomLog /var/log/apache2/access.log combined </VirtualHost> django.wsgi file: import os, sys wsgi_dir = os.path.abspath(os.path.dirname(__file__)) project_dir = os.path.dirname(wsgi_dir) sys.path.append(project_dir) project_settings = os.path.join(project_dir,'settings') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'myproject.settings' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler()

  • mod_rpaf problems with Nginx front, Apache back-end after Ubuntu upgrade

    - by Kenn
I'm running an Nginx front-end for static files, and proxying to an Apache backend for PHP and Passenger, using Apache's mod_rpaf to set the correct remote IP address on the backend. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise). Now Apache reports all connections coming from 127.0.0.1. Here's the relevant configuration. Nothing here changed with the upgrade. Nginx: proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; mod_rpaf: <IfModule mod_rpaf.c> RPAFenable On RPAFsethostname On RPAFproxy_ips 127.0.0.1 ::1 RPAFheader X-Forwarded-For </IfModule> I'm using %{X-Forwarded-For}i in my Apache LogFormat directive and the access logs are showing the correct remote address, so I know Nginx is passing the address along properly. In a phpinfo() test, HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR is showing the correct remote address, but REMOTE_ADDR is 127.0.0.1. This is reflected in PHP applications as well, such as WordPress comments. I've tried switching Nginx and mod_rpaf to X-Real-IP with no effect. Did something change that I missed? Relevant version info, everything installed from the Ubuntu repository: Nginx 1.1.19 Apache 2.2.22 mod_rpaf 0.6

  • Windows + Django + mod_wsgi = "DLL load failed"

    - by Kyle MacFarlane
For a long time I was using Python 2.5 to do all this fine but recently upgraded to 2.7 since building stuff for 2.5 is a real pain. I also updated mod_wsgi to 3.3 for Python 2.7. Everything is working fine with Apache + mod_wsgi on CentOS and also in the Django runserver on both Windows and CentOS, but not with Apache + mod_wsgi on Windows. Whenever I try to access a page in my Django app I get the following (note that Apache starts fine): ImportError at / DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. Which is caused by things like: from Crypto.Cipher import AES Etree and others cause the exact same error and it is not limited to any specific packages. Anything with pyd files fails. Googling around suggests reinstalling Python "for all users", but the installer doesn't give you that option anymore anyway. For good measure I've tried reinstalling Python 2.7 as an administrator and also told it to register itself as the default version of Python but neither helped. I think the solution might have something to do with: The fact that I have 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7 installed on this machine and mod_wsgi might be loading the DLLs for 2.5 instead of 2.7. Something to do with WSGIPythonPath, which I usually don't need to set.

  • What's the correct way to hide/prevent access to wp-admin

    - by Jaypee
I'm dealing with this matter since a while, I have read a ton of articles and stuff out there but I couldn't find a place that shows the RIGHT way, standard, correct, whatever you like to call it, to prevent access to my wp-admin or wp-login.php On all Wordpress sites I see (the well made ones) you will never see anything if you type thesite.com/wp-admin As I could see, one way to do this is by restricting the access to that folder by creating an .htaccess file and restrict by IP the access to the folder. Seems to be the "cleanest" way to do. What I'm not sure about it is that I have a dynamic address provided by my ISP, so on a certain time my IP will change, that will force me to also change the .htaccess to my new address, I don't see that practical. I can set a range also, but by doing that I will also authorize access to all people within that range of IPs (other clients of my ISP for example). I'm then struggling to find the best/standard way to do this. Anyone can help me? Thanks

  • Empty rewrite.log on Windows, RewriteLogLevel is in httpd.conf

    - by ripper234
I am using mod_rewrite on Apache 2.2, Windows 7, and it is working ... except I don't see any logging information. I added these lines to the end of my httpd.conf: RewriteLog "c:\wamp\logs\rewrite.log" RewriteLogLevel 9 The log file is created when Apache starts (so it's not a permission problem), but it remains empty. I thought there might be a conflicting RewriteLogLevel statement somewhere, but I checked and there isn't. What else could cause this? Could this be caused by Apache not flushing the log file? (I closed it by hitting CTRL-C on the httpd.exe command ... this caused the access logs to be flushed to disk, but still nothing in rewrite.log) My (partial) httpd-vhosts.conf: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost ServerName my.domain.com DocumentRoot c:\wamp\www\folder <Directory c:\wamp\www\folder> Options -Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow, deny allow from all <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule . everything-redirects-to-this.php [L] </IfModule> </Directory> </VirtualHost>

  • SSLVerifyClient optional with location-based exceptions

    - by Ian Dunn
I have a site that requires authentication in order to access certain directories, but not others. (The "directories" are really just rewrite rules that all pass through /index.php) In order to authenticate, the user can either login with a standard username/password, or submit a client-side x509 certificate. So, Apache's vhost conf looks something like this: SSLCACertificateFile /etc/pki/CA/certs/redacted-ca.crt SSLOptions +ExportCertData +StdEnvVars SSLVerifyClient none SSLVerifyDepth 1 <LocationMatch "/(foo-one|foo-two|foo-three)"> SSLVerifyClient optional </LocationMatch> That works fine, but then large file uploads fail because of the behavior documented in bug 12355. The workaround for that is to set SSLVerifyClient require (or optional) as the default, so now the conf looks like this SSLCACertificateFile /etc/pki/CA/certs/redacted-ca.crt SSLOptions +ExportCertData +StdEnvVars SSLVerifyClient optional SSLVerifyDepth 1 <LocationMatch "/(bar-one|bar-two|bar-three)"> SSLVerifyClient none </LocationMatch> That fixes the upload problem, but the SSLVerifyClient none doesn't work for bar-one, bar-two, etc. Those directories are still prompted to present a certificate. Additionally, I also need the root URL to accessible without the user being prompted for a certificate. I'm afraid that will cancel out the workaround, though.

  • Redirect from folder containing website

    - by Sam
I have a website reached from this url: http://www.mysite.com/cms/index.php being served from this directory: public_html/cms/index.php In public_html I have this .htaccess RewriteRule (.*) cms/$1 [L] Which lets me get to the site like this: http://www.mysite.com/index.php But now if I reference the 'old' address, I'd like to redirect to the rewritten address with a permanent redirect code. for example: http://www.mysite.com/cms/?q=node/1 is redirected to... http://www.mysite.com/?q=node/1 How can I make this happen? EDIT: Also in the .htaccess file supplied with Drupal(cms), this is written. I've tried enabling it, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. # Modify the RewriteBase if you are using Drupal in a subdirectory or in a # VirtualDocumentRoot and the rewrite rules are not working properly. # For example if your site is at http://example.com/drupal uncomment and # modify the following line: # RewriteBase /drupal EDIT: Including more of my .htaccess file - seems relevant. # Block access to "hidden" directories whose names begin with a period. RewriteRule "(^|/)\." - [F] #Strip cms folder from url RewriteRule (.*) cms/$1 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !=/favicon.ico RewriteRule ^ index.php [L] # Rules to correctly serve gzip compressed CSS and JS files. # Requires both mod_rewrite and mod_headers to be enabled. <IfModule mod_headers.c> # Serve gzip compressed CSS files if they exist and the client accepts gzip. RewriteCond %{HTTP:Accept-encoding} gzip RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.gz -s RewriteRule ^(.*)\.css $1\.css\.gz [QSA] # Serve gzip compressed JS files if they exist and the client accepts gzip. RewriteCond %{HTTP:Accept-encoding} gzip RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.gz -s RewriteRule ^(.*)\.js $1\.js\.gz [QSA] # Serve correct content types, and prevent mod_deflate double gzip. • Dealing With Java Default Level Access Specifiers

    - by Tom Tresansky
I've seen some code in a project recently where some fields in a couple classes have been using the default access modifier without good reason to. It almost looks like a case of "oops, forgot to make these private". Since the classes are used almost exclusively outside of the package they are defined in, the fields are not visible from the calling code, and are treated as private. So the mistake/oversight would not be very noticeable. However, encapsulation is broken. If I wanted to add a new class to the existing package, I could then mess with internal data in objects using fields with default access. So, my questions: Are there any best practices concerning default access specifiers that I should be aware of? Anything that would help prevent this type of accident from re-occurring? Are are any annotations which might say something to the effect of "I really meant for these to be default access"? Using CheckStyle, or any other Eclipse plugins, is there any way to flag instances of default fields, or disallow any not accompanied by, say, a "//default access" comment trailing them?

  • nginx with fail2ban and mod_security

    - by Mahesh
I forgot to update my fail2ban config for nginx. I just moved to nginx from apache. Today, I got a lot of cals from a single IP. IP tried to access login pages with post and get methods IP tried to use nginx as a proxy (GET http:/...) IP searched images, js, css folders IP tried to inject -d url_allow_fopen =1 and something similar. Most of the calls ended with 404. http { limit_req_zone $binary_remote_addr zone=app:10m rate=5r/s; ... server { ... location / { limit_req zone=app burst=50; } I got approximately 50 requests from that ip for a second. So i updated my nginx like the above. Will it avoid too many connections per second now? I have updated my fail2ban jail.local to support nginx. I am confused with the nginx-noscript.conf [Definition] failregex = ^<HOST> -.*GET.*(\.php|\.asp|\.exe|\.pl|\.cgi|\scgi) ignoreregex = I am serving php with nginx. I checked apache's noscript.conf and which has .php extension on it too. I tested this above settings before restarting fail2ban and got thousands of ips matched. I removed php and nothing matched. Do i need .php| in nginx-noscript.conf? Using mod_security and fail2ban together bring any problem? When i was searching today, i came to know mod_security is available for nginx too. So i am planning to use it too.

a bit of a binary question (okay, not excatly) - but was wondering if one is able to configure cloudera / hadoop to run at the nodes without root shell access to the node computers (although i can setup ssh passwordless login)? appears from their instructions that root access is needed, at yet i found a hadoop wiki which suggest root access might not be needed ? http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/NutchHadoopTutorial

  • mod_rewrite changes case even if not matching RewriteCond?

    - by kirdie
I have a really strange problem with my MediaWiki which I want to have articles of the form mywiki.org/MyArticle. Now I got most of it to work using the following code but it mysteriously cannot display the logo anymore. RewriteEngine On # don't rewrite valid requests to files and directories RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}%{REQUEST_URI} !-f RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}%{REQUEST_URI} !-d # mywiki.org/MyArticle gets rewritten to mywiki.org/index.php/MyArticle RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L,QSA] Now when I type in mywiki.org/img/logo.jpg in my browser the adress changes to http://wiki.geoknow.eu/Img/logo.jpg (capital I) and I get to the empty article page but the image is definitely there (in my document root under the img folder): /var/www/mywiki.org$ ls img logo.jpg So far so bad. But now it gets really crazy: When I add RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/.*\.jpg my adress still gets rewritten and my access log says - - [05/Dec/2012:16:30:21 +0100] "GET /Img/geoknow_logo.jpg HTTP/1.1" 404 509 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0" Where does that capital I in Img come from? The rule is not even executed because at least one condition is definitely not met now and I also don't have any to lowercase-transformation defined anywhere. What is happening there and how can I repair this? P.S.: Now all of the sudden the problem went away (the image is displayed as it should and there is no capital replacement anymore. What can cause this and why does it spontanously appear and disappear?

  • facebook extended access token login

    - by Pota Onasys
I have the following code: $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => ID, 'secret' => SECRET, 'cookie' => true)); $fb_uid = $facebook->getUser(); if($fb_uid) { // check if person with fb_uid as facebook id in database, // if so log them in. If not, register them. $fb_user = $facebook->api('/' . $fb_uid); I then get their email address using $fb_user['email'] and facebook_id and store in the database as a means to log them in the future Sometimes $fb_uid returns false even though the person is logged in using facebook ... I think it is because the access token expires. how can I change this code to incorporate the extended access token to log in the user to my site? offline access token is deprecated, so I need to use the extended access token.

  • How to control access to third party HTML pages

    - by Wylie
Hello, We have a Learning Management System (LMS) that runs on its own server (IIS/Server 2003). Students must login with Forms authentication to gain access to the content. We want to offer access to third party flash and audio that is embedded in HTML pages hosted on the third party server (IIS/Server 2003). Currently we use a frame in a pop-up window that is populated via a simple URL to the third party HTML pages. How can the third party control access to their content, so that only students who launch the pop-up windows from our site can access their content? Since the content is mostly video and flash, we would prefer not to stream all of their content through our server to the Student. We have a programming staff, so we could maybe... - either post or get for our HTTP request to the third party server - we could use SSL - we could programmatically assign a global NT user account to all of our users and then do some kind of Active Directory login from the LMS server to the third party server - could the third party content be hosted at Amazon S3? Would this allow for secure access/download? These are just ideas. We really have no idea. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Wylie

  • mod_rewrite with AJAX applictions: possible?

    - by MrJackV
I am trying to run Shell In a Box (link) through another server (the computer running shellinabox is not accessible from the internet) . Ideally I could use ProxyPass in the Apache config to have a reverse proxy. Problem is I can't access the conf file. So I tried using .htaccess and I discover that I cannot use ProxyPass in there. So I tried and used mod_rewrite to do the job. Currently I have the following on the .htaccess file RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ http://10.1.13.236:4200/ [P] However while it displays the title correctly and if I open up the source code I can see there is something in the page, nothing is diplayed on the screen (it remains blank). My suspicion is that there are problems with AJAX and this kind of proxy. What I am trying to accomplish with the mod_rewrite as close as possible behaviour to ProxyPass (Mirorr a website in a subdirectory). Is this possible? Is there some other solution (I tried phproxy and khproxy but neither of them is able to display anything)? Thanks in advance
