  • IPv6 parsing in C

    I wanted to know how i can parse an IPv6 address in 'C' and convert it to a 128 bit value? So a hex address like 1:22:333:aaaa:b:c:d:e:f needs to be converted to its 128 bit equivalent binary. The problem is the IP address could be of the type ::2 and its variant since they are valid IPv6 address. The input is from the keyboard and hence is in ASCII format. Any suggestions or pointers will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

    What I want is to add possibility to interact with application, and be able to extract information from application or event ask it to change some states. For that purpose I though of building cli utility. The utility will connect to the application and send user commands (one line strings) to the application and wait for response from the application. The command should contain: - command name (e.g. display-session-table/set-log-level etc.) - optionally command may have several arguments (e.g. log-level=10) The question to choose syntax and to learn parse it fast and correctly. I don't want to reinvent the whell, so maybe there's already an answer out there.

  • Strange javascript error when using Kongregates API

    In the hopes of finding a fellow unity3d developer also aiming for the Kongregate contest.. I've implemented the Kongregate API and can see that the game receives a call with my username and presents it ingame. I'm using Application.ExternalCall("kongregate.stats.submit",type,amount); where type is a string "Best Score" and amount is an int (1000 or something). This is the error I'm getting: You are trying to call recursively into the Flash Player which is not allowed. In most cases the JavaScript setTimeout function, can be used as a workaround. callASFunction:function(a,b){if(FABrid...tion, can be used as a workaround."); I'm wondering, has anyone else had this error or am I somehow doing something stupid?   • Installing Enclosure with Netbeans

    Hi all, I am having trouble installing Enclosure and getting it to work. I have followed this guide http://www.enclojure.org/gettingstarted and successfully installed Enclosure (I think). However, when I try to build the sample application (labrepl) I get a bunch of errors and a failed build. I haven't used Java in a long time and I've never used Netbeans, and the error doesn't seem very helpful with my limited knowledge of this domain. I'm using the latest Netbeans and the Enclosure URL from the guide. Since I am on Windows, I can't use git to clone the repo, so I'm not sure what to do from here.   • Issue in parsing the GridViewRows in a Telerik RadGridView

    Hi, I would like to do something similar what we do in ASP.NET where we parse through all the rows in a GridView and assign a particular value to a particular cell in a row which has a matching TaskId as the current Id. This has to happen in a Tick function of a Dispatcher Timer object. Since I have a Start Timer button Column for every row in a GridView. Upon a particular row's Start Timer Button click, I have to start its timer and display in a cell in that row. Similarly there can be multiple timers running in parallel. For this I need to be able to check the task Id of the particular task and keep updating the cell values with the updated time in all of the tasks that have a Timer Started.     I have a route defined in CI, $route['user/activate-account/:any'] = "user/activate_account"; People access the route in this url pattern, http://mydomain.com/user/activate-account/user_id/12345/token/abcdefghijk Inside the activate_account function, I tried to use the following codes to retrieve the required data, $user_id=$this->input->get('user_id'); $token=$this->input->get('token'); But they return FALSE, does this mean that for this kind of url pattern, I am supposed to use the functions provided by the URI class (http://codeigniter.com/user_guide/libraries/uri.html) to retrieve the variables?

  • "Unable to install initrd-tools" error during installation.

    Was trying to install Ubuntu from a CD on a machine which already has windows on it, choose the option of "Resize IDE1 master (hda) and use freed space" during the "Install the base system" step. After that i get the error: Unable to install initrd-tools. An error was returned while trying to install the initrd-tools package into the target system. Check /target/var/log/bootstrap.log for details. The problem is one one hand i cannot proceed with the complete installation and on other hand if i remove the CD, am not able to boot windows as it says No bootable device. Would highly appreciate for any recommendations.

  • What does intermittent "Input/output error" suggest?

    Lately my Ubuntu 12 system has started acting very strange. Sometimes the computer freezes and then unfreezes 2 minutes later, and other times when I try a basic command like less I get the error bash: /usr/bin/less: Input/output error. But this is intermittent too. Any suggestions? Also if I try sudo reboot and enter my password, I get sudo: unable to open /var/lib/sudo/plato/7: Read-only file system Before I used to be able to do sudo reboot fine. If I tail /var/log/syslog I do see these curious lines: .... ata1: softreset failed (device not ready) .... ata1: hard resettting link .... ata1: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0) What can I do to fix this?

    I started up Eclipse today, created a new project, and immediately had an error before I had changed a single line: Error generating final archive: Debug Certificate expired on 11/12/11 When installed, the Android SDK generates a "debug" signing certificate for you in a file called "debug.keystore". Eclipse uses this certificate rather than forcing you to create a new one for every project. In older versions of Eclipse, the certificate was only valid for 365 days, but as I understand it the default has been changed to 30 years in newer versions. If for whatever reason you don't want to upgrade Eclipse, you can manually delete the certificate to for Eclipse to generate a new one. You can find the location in Preferences -> Android -> Build -> Default debug keystore (mine was in C:\Users\myUserName\.android\); just delete the "debug.keystore" file, then go back into Eclipse and Clean the project to generate a new file.

    I want a lite-weight C++ XML parser/DOM that: Can take UTF-8 as input, and parse into UTF-16. Maybe it does this directly (ideal!), or perhaps it provides a hook for the conversion (such as taking a custom stream object that does the conversion before parsing). Offers some XPath support. I've been looking at RapidXML, the Kranf xmlParser, and pugiXML. The first two of those might permit requirement #1 by way of a hook. The third, pugiXML, supports the #2 requirement. But none of those three fulfill both requirements. What is the smallest (free) library that can handle both requirements?

    I've got a web application that, for performance reasons, throws any data sent into a logfile. I've got two concerns with this approach: How do I best rotate logs, in order to not lose data? For each user session multiple requests are logged. Each request has a unique id so there is an easy way for me to tie the requests to the session. The problem is, however, that if I rotate the logs I risk ending up with one request in one log and another request in another log. How do I arrange my parsing in a way that allows me to parse all requests from a given session? I am willing to define a session timelimit, for example that the requests must, at maximum be 30 minutes apart. If I had a hourly log rotation at 00 minutes: What if the user made one request at 13:59 and one at 14:01 - The user would end up having requests in two different logs.
